Oh , ok . Like I have said before.  I have never bought internet. I have always just used my Verizon plan, made the necessity call home or text. Saved pictures to upload when I got home.  So maybe this may be a purchase the boys do on their own. I was hoping Voom Surf would be enough for snapchat,  but I guess if they take a 15 sec video to send to friends they need stream.

Just getting the Surf instead of Surf & Stream will be similar to being on a dial-up modem and make using Snapchat frustrating and probably unusable.  As suggested, if they want it that bad then make them pay for it.  They can always wait until they arrive to a port where your service provider has service or connect to Wifi at a local establishment

I was just going by what was shared to me at current on board pricing of $18.99 for 4 devices? Was that not correct?  It said $20.99 for 2.  Cheaper then what pre board price was.

Onboard pricing is worded slightly different than cruise planner.  It would be $18.99 per device per day ($18.99x4) x (the amount of days)

Kids get their own cruise compass with kids club activities delivered to their stateroom.

The Teens Cruise compass had a schedule.  The one for Adventure Ocean was an informative brochure that listed the programs for each age group but didn't break down the activities to a specific schedule.  As mentioned by @bearette those are the hours Adventure Ocean was open which is listed in the main cruise compass.

Yes, I do.. I just know those boys are snapchat "ers" and have these "streaks" with their friends for few years, so they are not going to let them go and will want to share as much as possible , being this is their first cruise.  I guess We will decide when we get on board.

    Thanks again!

You may rethink that because that's going to be expensive.  By my calculations, purchasing a 4-device plan onboard is going to run you $475.72  or $531.72 depending on which prices they use.

What if we bought this package(Voom Surf Package for 2 devices $16.99 per day)  and 2 soda packages.($6.50 per day)

That's $29.99 a day compared to $34.00 a day and we will both have access to the internet and soda package the whole 7 days.

    Does that sound correct?

Correct....sometimes it does come out cheaper buying them individually

I got mixed reviews when suggesting doing this after M&M as we don’t know exactly when that will be. I’m planning this for day 2 of cruise at 1 pm

Is there a usual time for the M&M?? 🤷‍♀️

I'm guessing it depends on the ship but lately it's been held at 10:00 a.m.

How long does it generally take for a cruise you booked to show up in the app?

The sailing itself appears on the app about 4 months out.  If you choose your ship on the app you'll see a list of sailings that span out for about 4 months.

    That IS interesting!

Just read a post from someone that was able to reuse their WOW bands this week and if you already have them, they'll tell you to go by the muster stations printed on your Seapass and NOT the WOW bands.

Definitely cannot reserve laser tag in the App. The app itself is very limited much like all of RCI's websites.

It worked completely fine on Allure... so are you saying it was limited after you've been connected to Symphony or using it now while on land?

I guarantee it was because of the hurricane.  We always book first and apply the FCC later so that’s not it.  When I first had my TA attempt to apply the FCC, on A KSF she even stated that they had been very lenient about the terms due to hurricane Harvey but because it was not issued because of the hurricane that they may not allow it.

There is zero transferability on the FCC.  None. Nada. Zip.  We desperately wanted to use it for me and DW so we could use it on another sailing (not doubling up), as we had such a hard time finding a non KSF sailing.  Thankfully we booked the Arctic crossing TA on the brilliance when it released and there was no KSF nor was there ever as it totally sold out three months after release and was never elligible for KSF.  It would be a total loss of the originally named person does not use it in time, which seems very variable based on conditions and what agent or resolutions person you get.

The joys of cruising but when you have a problem they really make it difficult to recoup....sheesh!  We had $1129 but it was spread out between me, wife, and 2 of the 4 kids)  So the only way to really benefit was for us to all sail again.  I understand every scenario will vary but there has to be some type of loophole because I'd be highly upset if given FCC for a cruise I didn't have a choice of taking (for example a charter), only to find out one that if one of us couldn't go and I'd lose out if not booked/sailed before expiration.  I'm sure it's happened before and will happen again but that doesn't sit well with me knowing it's a possibility.  I guess travel insurance would take care of that

That is incredible.  How did you argue that you could use it.  Me and my TA spent countless emails trying to get them to let us apply the FCC for my kids on a KSF sailing and it was a STONEWALL.  The only exception they said they would make is if it was for a hurricane related sailing.  I can’t remember which one it was.  It might have been Harvey,  but unless I got some FCC from that they refused.  It was the most frustrating things, as they just repeatedly stated it CANNOT be used for port fees and taxes.  I continually argued, I shouldn’t have been issued one for my kids then and should have just been given my deposit back as i was putting a deposit on them toward port fees and taxes so why should I be issued an FCC for Port fees and taxes as they are fully refundable.  It was insanely frustrating.  When i posted on CC last year to voice my frustrations most of the community was also confused how I was issued an FCC for kids as they don’t have a fare.  Many on here never use KSF and don’t realize you still have to pay a deposit and still have to pay port fees.

It was a 3 day credit issued because of Hurricane Dorian so that might be the answer.  It was done through my TA but I don't think he had to argue or convince them; he never conveyed any concerns to me.  I wish I had a concrete answer for you.  I can see why you were frustrated as I would have been if that happened to us.  Luckily I'm taking all the kids again because I was curious as to what would have happened if one of the 4 of us (that received FCC) didn't go....would I have lost out because the FCC was issued in their names?

I am still livid about it and am curious how you got them to apply it.  To further frustrate me, after they at least made the exception to allow me to book by a year,  letting them agree to what they stated in their email was also comical as they continually argued I could not do that despite me forwarding their email in which they stated just that.  Another spectacular example of RCI’s consistently inconsistent policies.

I really would like to know how you convinced them to let you use your FCC toward a KSF sailing though as in the terms and conditions it does explicitly state cannot be used toward port fees and taxes.

I've usually just booked and take advantage of any KSF promotions afterwards; so I haven't had to discover how it would work with a deposit on their fares. The only thing I can see them wanting would be the ports fees and taxes; where else could the extra money go towards on their fares?

Try FCC must used in one year.  Not just booked.  To further make matters difficult. If you are cruising with kids on a KSF offer.  You will be issued an FCC as you did have to put a deposit for the kids despite them not having a fare.  You still have to pay port fees and taxes for kids.  You cannot use an FCC toward port fees and taxes and that makes it very difficult to use an FCC if you primarily use the KSF promo.  Thankfully we booked a TA which was not eligible for KSF and used it on that but otherwise we were about to lose our FCC.  Our TA was able to extend the use through much arguing about the difficulty in using it with the KSF to where we only had to BOOK and not SAIL within a year.  But YMMV in getting that exception made.

Thanks for replying.  In my case I used NextCruise so stateroom deposits were already done and the KSF was applied afterwards.  I had no problems as you indicated with KSF and the FCC did come from a previous booking where the KSF was used for 2 kids as well.

Our experience from July 2019.  Canceled a cruise for April 2020. Two weeks later received a FCC via email for $700.00 from Royal , lost two hundred of our deposit.  Called the online TA we use and gave them the FCC confirmation number.  TA added the $700.00 FCC  to a Oct. 25th 2020 cruise.  About 1 week later we received email  confirmation from the TA that Royal had credited our OCT. 25 2020 cruise with the $700.00. When we received the FCC it stated cruise must be completed within 1 year,  TA said Royal never requires a cruise to be taken within one year, only requires booking.  Just be aware of what RCI stands for.. Really Consistent Inconsistencies. happy cruising

Yeah that's what I was afraid of...the inconsistency.  I've already booked mine and we're set to travel next Labor Day but there were others from that sailing trying to find cruises, thinking that they need to hurry and find something sailing before Sept 2020.  I just didn't want to put out the wrong information

I have done a number of cabin crawls--mainly because I love to look at the other cabin types.  😁

Join your roll call and ask for people to agree to show their cabins. It is easy to get inside, OV and balcony. Suites are harder to get.

Tell them in the first posting that you reserve the right to  organize the cabins in the most concise way.  You will not necessarily take the first offered in a category.  Keep a list of the lookers and one of the cabin hosts.

I usually do them immediately after the M and M.  A few days before the cruise I type out a list of the cabins in order and print off some lists. I ask someone in each group to be the leader and take the lists.  If it is a small cabin crawl you do not need to do this.  However, this is the only way to keep a large one organized.  If there are more than 20-30 participants I break the group into groups of 15-20 and send them in five minute intervals.  [I had one cabin crawl on the first Celebrity Mardi Gras cruise that had 150 lookers signed up.  About 120 people actually stayed to participate.]

So in an instance such as that, some of the ones hosting wouldn't get to view all the cabins right?

Blended frozen coffee was $4.50 not including gratuity and fresh squeezed OJ in the MDR at breakfast was $8.25 not including gratuity. I drank a lot of sparkling water I think it was $3.25 but not sure.  I was charged $4.13 for a can of coke I don't know if it was by mistake or if it wasn't included in the package. It's the only one I ordered so I didn't bother to find out.

Yeah, they accidentally charged you....the only reason I know those prices is because it wasn't showing our Refreshment packages on our Seapass so I figured I'd clear it up at Guest Services on Day 2
