  1. Havent been on the Pearl, but Ultra is most likely the most popular beer on ships. On breakaway it was on all of them
  2. Well wife and I are pretty simple, Bloody Mary’s from Haven bar in Morning, Miami Vice on pool deck to start, then switch to Mich Ultra for the afternoon and at night the wife goes with Tito’s neat and I switch to whiskey sours
  3. 1st Haven I won through bidding, now i cant go back...wife now calls me high maintenance lol
  4. Best Made drinks are at the Haven Bar!!!!! OMG they are artists
  5. yes as long as you are going up in category and not down. I have upgraded from balcony to Haven after final payment becasue the price dropped enough for my comfort.
  6. So, side by side on an open air deck is worse then side by side in a theater with a thousand people watching a show for 45 minutes to an hour. I understand the dislike of in person boat drill, but please don't use the Covid excuse to complain. If being in close proximity to others for extended periods of time you would simply not cruise.
  7. I have never done it at the private island, but have done it at little French Key....$20 there and it was like what $100 at private island? Was fun but would never pay $100 for it
  8. I am seriously wondering when this thread will die off lol....pretty sure it has seen its day lol!!!
  9. On the Joy in April, my buddy is determined to win the draft beer contest thats in the District Brew House lol
  10. I can say i was on the Breakaway for the playoffs a few years ago and the games was absolutely on while docked and while we left. I am sure they will have the game on
  11. Stay in Hotel on Biscayne Blvd, enjoy your night before cruise with everything walking distance, then drive the 10 minute drive to the port and park and begin your vacation. Plus whe you leave you can just jump in your car and leave, no shuttles or anything to worry about.
  12. Ok, so here is my opinion....Do I prefer the virtual muster just watch a video scan my key card and done...absolutely!!!! Do I like the traditional muster drill? Absolutely not! Will it ever ruin my 1st day onboard? Absolutely NOT. Why one cruise line does it one way and the others do it another will always be up for debate. I love cruising NCL, and this process will not discourage me to cruise with them, but if it bothers someone else that much we all have the opportunity to cruise other lines.

We do Little French Key each time...$69 per person does not include food and drink, but is very nice secluded small little island. We love it there, going for our 3rd time in April
  14. We always put them on, always in black and white, never an issue. We had to one time have them put one on for us and they did not even care. But I am sure of they had to do that for eveyone would slow the process down.
  15. I believe it was just under $300 for 4 of us. Got the room with the bay view as well.
  16. We are staying at YVE for our one night pre cruise stay. Will update after the stay but rate was decent and liked the location. There are 8 ships in Miami our embarkation day so was actually not the easiest to find a room at a decent price

    Harvest Cay

Looks like $29 per hour according to my NCL app for our cruise in April on the Joy
  18. Agree! Can’t go wrong there! Pool is wonderful, kids stay busy on inflatable water toys, cheep jet ski rentals! Food is good and made to order, and service is also excellent. Go there every time we stop in Cozumel
  19. When it comes down to production shows NCL cut out The Jean Ann Ryan company many years ago. When I worked for NCL many years ago as a CD they switched a lot of ships from Jean Ann Ryan to NCL productions. I used to know a lot of the Guest Entertainers when onboard and some where the best I ever seen and worked with
  20. Paradise beach for adults and kids is well worth it. Believe adults are now 69, but the food is fresh and the drinks are good, plus the pool is great
  21. Paradise beach will be less of a party atmosphere good for kids or for those looking to relax, been there many Many times, going back in April
  22. I agree, if you’re in the Haven, go to the bar or order from one of the waiters walking on the pool or sundeck. If not in the Haven, dear lord go to a bar or order from bar waiter! I am really hoping that it was a joke! We stay in the Haven and would never do such a thing
  23. Funny thing is this year, we are on the Joy out of Miami for Easter week, and still has lots of cabins availalble outside the Haven. We are staying in the Haven Aft facing Penthouse. We dont mind the crowds at the pool as we enjoy the excitement but also always want to have a place where w eknow we can relax with alot fewer people if need be. Looking forward to April.
  24. Works for me! Maybe can park there for the entire cruise
