  1. Thanks will give it a try for next time but the other peeps backed out unfortunately.
  2. Iā€™m sorry for your loss of your parents. šŸ˜¢ Hopefully you can find some good deals in the future and good luck yo you when you finally move to Florida 100%. I like new ships on any line and the food as well. Unfortunately they donā€™t come with cheap prices. I just try to book as soon as the itineraries are released as the prices usually just go up from there.
  3. The property taxes and homeowners insurance is killer if you can get it. That was always our dream when we retired. Now that we are less than a year from both being retired itā€™s not even a thought anymore. šŸ˜¢
  4. They took a page out of Royal Caribbean's playbook with their neighborhoods that keep people spread out.
  5. Thatā€™s true. I have heard rumors that to get a discount instead of taken for a long ride on a short pier with the RU0 code you MUST book on the 2nd Tuesday of the week.
  6. my son constantly has RU0. Just checked now and he has it now. But why not. I don't know how Carnival gets away with it. If you buy the cruise and buy the Cheers package separately it is cheaper than if you use the RU0 code.
  7. I just tried a mock booking again and it still says kids sail free on the website where it says select your offer. This is for a May 12, 2024 on Meraviglia from NY(Brooklyn)
  8. They shouldn't say it's a kids sale free cruise if it isn't. That's disingenuous.
  9. so you're saying although it says kids sail free it really isn't? How is a person supposed to know the difference?
  10. No I'm not a TA. When booking online just click on the summary at the bottom left of the page and all that comes up.
  11. I was on their website playing around and don't seem to save much with kids sail free. I'm aware I need to pay the port fees and taxes but in the summary it says they are charging each child $59, SRN $160, and port fees $140. I was looking at the May 12th 2024 sailing of the Meraviglia. What does SRN stand for anyway? I booked 4 adults in the room and got a price of $2536 and then did 2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 4 and got a price of $2316 for a savings of $220 or $110 a child.
  12. Thanks for posting this. I have to wait until september 24 to cruise on her. Looks awesome.
  13. At least you have the option to upgrade. According to MSC's website I don't even have the package. He can just pay the difference in drinks when you cruise next. He can drink a lot of them and still save money by not upgrading .
  14. I'm with you with the Pig and Anchor. Ate there on the Horizon and the brisket was very dry and the service slow to nonexistent. This was right after covid and they were short staffed which would account for the service but the food was not to my liking and I eat just about anything.
  15. Please mention the Mexican side. Going on Celebration this weekend and Iā€™d really like to know.šŸ˜Š
  16. When I pull up my booking it says purchase easy plus package for $427. I already have the easy plus package. It doesnt say how much to upgrade. with MSC now just letting you pay the difference in drink cost if I were to order a premium drink I am not going to worry about it now.
  17. Thank you for posting this. We will be on Meraviglia in June. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
