  1. Thanks for the replies. I have the information 12cruise2 quoted from the website. I was hoping for a letter someone has already received…in English 😜.
  2. My DH has tested positive (mild symptoms) and has quarantined now 11 days. He went for an official test last week so he could get a certificate of recovery in case he might still test positive by our next cruise. I have copied what X says is required from their website but I thought it might help if I could give the doctor’s office a sample letter to look at. They haven’t done one before. TIA
  3. On Equinox last month the filet was no longer on the children’s menu. Don’t know if asking for it is an option.
  4. We were on the May 21 cruise. There were six black SUVs lined up next to the ship…on the dock where the fuel truck etc are. I said I bet there were a lot more than those…six were all that fit in that area. I think those were just the first round. I think whether a Captain announces cases is an option…no announcement would not make me think there were no cases. It seems everyone will eventually get the virus but as everyone on the ship is vaccinated, hopefully the cases will be mild.
  5. Chat mode is a good idea as most of the proctors have heavy accents.
  6. The Silhouette was built in 2011. The Reflection was built in 2012.
  7. HM Queen Elizabeth II: Have we shown you how to start a nuclear war yet?Tony Blair: Er no.HM Queen Elizabeth II: First thing we do apparently, then we take away your passport and spend the rest of our time sending you around the world.Tony Blair: You obviously know my job better than I do.HM Queen Elizabeth II: Yes well, you are my tenth Prime Minister Mr Blair. My first of course was Winston Churchill, he sat in your chair in a frock coat and top hat. And he was kind enough to give a shy young girl like me quite an education.Tony Blair: I would imagine.
  8. I loved it in the movie The Queen when Tony Blair is all excited about how important he is when he meets her for the first time and she replied dryly “Yes, I’ve had 70 (don’t remember the exact number) Prime Ministers; my first was Winston Churchill.”
  9. No, you are not required to take two tests per person. It’s just a suggested backup in case a test is damaged or you drop the swab or card when taking the test…the proctor will not let you continue with that test.
  10. What I really wish all people understood is that you WANT people to continue to talk about your loved one that has died. When they do they keep the person present. Yes, perhaps I might cry but I still want the conversation!!
  11. I remember the first dead body I ever saw was an elderly relative at a viewing when I was 15. I was immediately struck by the clear conviction that this body was not the person I knew. I realized the soul is a tangible entity and a vital force in life and it was missing. So it made me realize that Heaven was where that vital essence was now. And that was comforting in a way simply reading about Heaven had not been.
  12. We just disembarked the day you boarded!! One thing I will say is if people think they are distancing and so forth…the morning of our disembarkation everyone forgot all about it!! We saw elevator after elevator after elevator absolutely crammed to the gills full with only a handful wearing masks. They were in for a LONG elevator ride as people on lower decks had to take an up elevator to find space…and then ride it back down. And the ride was made even longer as every deck had pushed the button so the elevator stopped and it often stayed stopped because people impatiently waiting would continually press the down button which kept the elevator doors open. We finally looked at each other and realized we should just walk three decks down. But I would suggest walking down regardless of what deck you were on, if able. And now to return to looking forward to reading more of your review!! Hope you have a wonderful time!!
  13. She’s the ship we’ve sailed the most as she year round sails the Caribbean. I’ve always loved her…and all the S Class ships. As you know, she got a truncated “revolution” due to the Freeport accident prior to covid. But our regular balcony cabin looked fine and the bed was very comfortable! Sure some signs of wear and tear but she’s a lovely lady.
  14. We just debarked Equinox this morning. For the first time I was able to read Cruise Critic, but could not see any pictures and could not login…tried every day…no go.
  15. @DaniDanielle You’ve been in my prayers and I’ll be thinking of your family today and in the days to come. When my mother died I moved from Atlanta to her small home town. In Atlanta it seemed people sent flowers, went to the funeral, and then seemed to think that was it. In our small town people consistently mention my mother and share stories about her and I feel she’s still with me here in a way I did not in Atlanta. I hope your daughter and grandchildren have the same warmth of love and memories.
  16. I did this with our golden Lab puppy. He sat in my lap and I took pictures every two weeks…amazing how fast they grow!! Even full sized … he still thought he was a lap dog.
  17. This was the purring pile I had to drag myself away from this morning 😞. We’re driving to FLL to board Celebrity Equinox on Saturday. Celebrating our 35th anniversary!
  18. Also, try posting your question on Celebrity’s Facebook page.
