  1. Sorry you were ill. We got back 5/26 - still no response yet even after emails to the executives....credit card paid a long time ago, but not a good process.
  2. Look at the link I posted above and you can look up by individual test and lot#
  3. For those considering the services that proctor the self-tests you already have at home - the expiration dates have been extended. Check on the FDA site for the updated expiration date for your test boxes. And keep the link - because they have extended some several times. https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/home-otc-covid-19-diagnostic-tests#list
  4. We reserved a table for two every night in advance. I would check via the tv daily to make sure the reservations were still there and if not, re-reserve. And if there was a night in the future that I couldn't reserve, I'd keep checking and one always came up.
  5. Exactly - we ate at a table for 2 for 15 out of 16 nights aboard the Island Princess. The tables were close and we were able to enjoy talking with those next to us (if they were talkative) as if we were at a shared table, yet we were on our own schedule as were they. So we didn't have to wait on everyone to be served at the same time (or waiting to start eating to be polite) as would have been the case if sitting with others. For us it wasn't fear of Covid, it was that we wanted to make the early show every evening. And we still got to chat with fellow cruisers. For us the distance was not a negative.
  6. Seems reasonable to allow the uninfected to disembark and those testing positive to stay aboard. Better than not allowing the ship to come to the port. https://www.theepochtimes.com/covid-hit-cruise-ship-docks-in-sydney-infected-not-allowed-to-disembark_4594377.html
  7. I'm also not seeing anything new that wasn't already there for several days now - 40% 2022/25% 2023 and the low deposit. Is sale mentioned throughout this topic something different?
  8. Is there really no one on the boards currently on the Island Princess - is masking still required?
  9. There's a thread with the same subject from February - you can search on it - called room service menu? someone posted a link to this site - at least it will give you an idea. Having been on enchanted and Island Princess in the last 6 mos - looks pretty similar: https://profcruise.com/oceannow-delivery-menu-2022/
  10. Just wondering if Island Princess is still undergoing covid-19 precautions and requiring indoor masking on the next trip that just departed Southampton.
  11. @JimmyVWineAgree - in all forms of travel, in stores, at work, in gas lines- we're all tolerating disruptions in service and staffing that prior to Covid and current economic conditions would have been 'unacceptable'. That doesn't mean we should ignore them or like them - but learn to anticipate. For example - one may have to plan on a flight a day earlier to catch one's cruise.
  12. We're sticking w Princess - two post-shutdown cruises (Enchanted in Dec, and Island Princess in May) and are going on the Jan '23 world cruise. That's not to say we wouldn't go on other lines - we did American Cruise Line in June/July 2021, and considered HA for their world cruise, and have cruised with other lines in the past. But itinerary matters and also agree with the above "IMHO Princess still offers the best bang for your buck"
  13. Caribbean Princess - circle caribbean cruise in nov 2019; Star Princess is now the Pacific Encounter operated by P&O https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Encounter
  14. We did the 5/11 LA to FL Panama Canal cruise on Island Princess - we liked the ship's character - as we also liked the CP (in the Caribbean), Star Princess (no longer there - for Alaska), and the Enchanted Princess - as you said - itinerary rules. We wanted to see, despite negative comments on cruise critic, if we could enjoy the ship on the world cruise and decided we could! To each their own.
