Is Venetian Society discount of 5% applies to all or most sailings?

Also if I'm booked on my first SS for 2022 and second one for 2023, I assume the discount cannot be applied to the 2022 sailing, but can it be applied to the 2023 sailing after I complete the 2022 sailing, even if the booking for the 2023 sailing was done before I became Venetian Society member?

    Thanks!

I think you have answers to your questions but will add that 5% discount will appear in the offer box when selecting on the  find a cruise page but it will only be certain sailings and I believe the discount does not apply to port to port price !!! ( Already discounted) ..happy sailing on silversea 🚢

Thank you. Yes, I think splitting makes more sense.

Pleased to hear you have decided to book with silversea & I'm sure you won't be disappointed...as to your question on dinning with a large group we as a family often travel with any thing from 6 people to twice 12 people... 6 no problems & even the 2 cruises with 12 of us they gave us the same table each night at the back of the dinning room ( we arrived at anytime within the dinning times ) and they even transported the table up to LA terrazza for 2 nights we dined there .😂. that was in the days before the multiple dinning options onboard the newer ships ... So maybe it might not be so easy ??...we had 8 on our last cruise 2019 and did split on a few evenings for dinner , different venues and got together after dinner for a drink & boggie !!!

Booked on Silver Wind August 8, Kangerlussuaq to Kangerlussuag.  Paid for Business class upgrade but not Air Deviation. As of today the flights are not in My Silversea.  On our previous bookings on Silversea that were cancelled due to COVID the flights were on the My bookings.  Does anyone know how far in advance Silversea books flight?

Second question I noticed that the cheapest business class is on Icelandic air but no lie flat seats/beds.  The flights with lie flat seat beds are about double.  Would you suggest I do air deviation, would Silversea charge the much higher airfare?

Thank you.  This is our first time on Silversea.  I am hoping we don;t get so spoiled we never want to go back to Princess or Celebrity.

Oh you will !!! You may never look back ... 😉Just ask Lois!!!

Not sure if you’ve heard yet but all operations are suspended on Crystal. We’ve just left Tortola and are heading back to Miami. Heartbreaking for the crew.

Yes had heard earlier this evening 😔 we cancelled a cruise with crystal back in December for holyland &  Greek isles trip in April as I was feeling unsure about the covid issue and didn't want to travel.....it is very sad for all concerned but I had made a decision not to sail ..hope you have a safe journey home

I am on The Moon right now..posting from a very squishy comfortable lounge chair…by the pool while my daughters have gone off to go mountain Biking in Corfu.

The ship is SO beautiful. Everything I thought was missing in the design of The Muse has been modified…..much more color…still subtle but making the decor warmer. They have moved the small corner bar into the center of The Dolce Vita…it is round and can probably seat about 20. The chandelier over it is modern and spectacular. Instead of all brown and gray, there are a lot of teal and aqua accents. The room is truly beautiful.

We had dinner in The SALT restaurant last night…delicious and a bit adventurous….great fun, and better than ever SS service. The Crew seems so happy to be back and this adds to every aspect of this cruise.

The Arts Cafe feels expanded and the AWFUL Art has been replaced by less “Avant-garde” pieces. There’s also a full bar which may have been on The Muse, but I don’t remember it. We had wonderful coffee and cookies there yesterday afternoon.

One of the very best improvements is the new decor in La Terrasse. There is carpeting, and the dinky chairs have been replaced with more substantial ones. The room no longer looks like a cavernous cafeteria…it is now a very pretty restaurant……with wonderful food served by warm attentive people. Lunch, without the usual serve yourself buffet, is awkward, but we all know this is Covid related and I am hopeful things will normalize soon.

The Panorama looks pretty much the same. The improvement here is a much bigger semi circular bar instead of the service like bar at which almost no one ever sat. The new design here, as on all of The Moon, is much more thought out from the Passenger perspective than on the Muse.

    I LOVE THIS SHIP!

Thanks for making contact!!! I did start this thread as I was going to be on this cruise ...have read several of your threads & it's a shame I'm not going to meet you( you will probably be thankful for that as I can be a bit party animal in Panorama lounge after midnight) but I will follow your journey with great interest.( Although I've been several times to ports of call  living so close ) ...I'm now waiting on crystal cruse in April 2022 Greek isles & holyland..then the lovely silver dawn in Nov 2022 Venetian society reunion ...please ( I know you are on holiday ) keep thread going .. photos, etc ... happy cruising 🚢😎😷🍾

@Lvshack It's not apparent to me, either. 😉 The only one live posting on this forum right now seems to be Lois, who is on the Spirit off the west coast of Africa.

Glad I'm not going🙃 ... But now as you can see maybe it's cruisinpashmima???

Would luv to hear about the trip ...I'm still not upset we decided to cancel as ( with my medical problems ) it would have been to much to consider to travel  at this time ,I have now had my 3rd covid jab💉 & in 6 months a booster !!!! yes, glad you both home safe JP!  (& back here)  Anything good for takeout from the supermarket?

Do the French know we love them ever since a couple centuries ago and fully expect this recent dust-up to be resolved over a glass or two of wine?  Maybe with a strong Australian mate, a very reasonable Canadian & a couple of dear British friends with us?

    May I suggest a 3rd glass?

In honor of @Lvshack if you happen to be in the mood

I'm always in the mood 😉🍾... & That's my favourite song to get me on the dance floor ... You will always know if I'm on board as it will be playing every evening in the

    Panaroma Lounge...

I also find the insurance issue confusing, I think the decision process regarding traveling must be very different from here in the US to our friends in the UK Australia NZ & EU.

So I just checked mine.  Underneath all the legal mumbo-jumbo I think I'm partially covered for overseas emergency visits, but better fly home for surgeries etc.  Of course this after a glass of really good sauvignon blanc from NZ

I'm going to bow out now on this subject as some of you all find this somewhat a non serious concern with your travel arrangements ...( Thank goodness her in the UK we have our NHS ) which will look after non UK Travelers) ...

The insurance? For years I never bought it....yes, I have over the past few years and never had an issue.

Not sure if you referencing something specific......I search for one to cover the price of the cruise and any hotels I need when traveling and my flight and try to find one reasonably priced.

    Congrats on your 3 bookings😃

I'm referring to medical insurance !! Surly with your medical problems you would need to be insured if you need medical attention where ever you are traveling to...  That said I have noticed on other forums the USA traverlers don't find not  having insurance a issue ... ( Don't travel outside the  UK without it!!! )  Happy cruising Lois ...

I travel because I am able and as long as I am able I will continue to travel😃.....I don't have anything that prevents me from going.....and to be honest, I don't feel bad at all......they are just issues that have happened to me in the past few years. Some folks age gracefully without any health problems.....once I turned 60? They all hit at once..........(I am now 63).

I'm pleased to hear that Lois ... I love to travel also and have over 59 plus cruises ...

But I follow your medical problems with interest..you seem to have to go for so many tests etc & I was only wondering how your travel insurance works for you ... I've just reached my 65tn birthday this August ..being diagnosed with myeloma in 2013 !!! ( Real game changer for me ref traveling)  so again lois I'm sorry to hear about your medical problems but you are able to travel without it affecting your travel insurance...

You say you don't have anything that prevents you from traveling so here's to you girl 🍾 xx  ps I'm not going to age gracefully !!!😉 Live& let live ...

Booked 3 silversea cruises for 2022/2023 !!! & One crystal cruise in 2022 ( although silversea my personal favourite) ..have you looked at Mediterranean 2022 silversea dawn Venetian society reunion cruise !! We have booked !!!

Sending positive vibes to you lovely lois R....

    Hi Coolers, TB, cute bear😀

Well, this is another couple of weeks of Dr's appts/procedures/tests for me.........

Had a GP appt last week...today was blood work.   Yesterday saw my Kidney Doc and she wants me to have an Ultrasound on them which will be Tuesday.  And tomorrow I have a follow up Endoscopy with the GI Guy😲..........never ending.   Wish me luck on all of it please🙂

Hi dear Lois ..hope you are all ok from all your medical problems you seem to experience!!( Bless you) I'm living with  a incurable cancer of the blood myeloma..

And I'm just wondering have you can travel so easily all over the world with your medical problems???.. your travel insurance must be sky high...mine is just to travel in Europe!!!  Hence why I've not travelled outside UK since last cruise 2019!!!

But wishing you all good vibes with your medical problems.

Hi🙂, yes, you have to submit a new password. What details are you talking about? You just click on that link that already has your email address and they email you a temporary password and then you change it.  Easy Peasy🙂

Yes Lois it was as you say easy peasy...I was just worried about them asking to use a new password with all the problems they have experienced I thought it might be a scam !!! Once again just paranoid !!! But now all sorted 🚢

Hi Lola ... With ref to Daveywavey!!! I think he's departure from  the cooler was just  after one evening way back when I posted a comment on Stanley Gucci on BBC Graham Norton show ( I mentioned this as Lois was watching his Italian cooking adventure) and said how I enjoy Graham Norton !!! Daveywavey posted a comment ref  Graham and was not very complimentary about  Graham ref his hygiene!!!! Then someone posted a comment about Daveywaveys hotel ( can't remember who)  and since then no response from him 😞 I have replied to a few of his old YouTube channel of various cruises that I still  watch & enjoy & he said he was giving the cooler a break !!!! Maybe he will return...

Sorry should have read tucci!!! ( Must have my next silversea dress code on my mind lol !!!)

    Good morning, coolers

Reef Knot - you are very intriguing:  maybe you move for work reasons?  Obviously do not want to pry, but is that the reason?  I think French is the second language in Tunisia?

I  miss Daveywavey and Jeff - I wonder if either of them read this rubbish occasionally.

jp - just looked up your cruise; what a lovely itinerary.  We loved Bonifacio in particular, and one time we were there were able to dock right in town, on a tiny ship (Seadream) and have dinner outside looking at the view.  One of those memories which remain with you.   I see your ship will take about 180 passengers, it would be nice if it were only say half full,  for the passengers if not the line's finances.  Looking forward to reading about your adventures.
