  1. I could be wrong but I think your hair braiding days have passed Jeff. If I were you I would opt for the massage. 😉
  2. At least all of mine had eyes, now granted they didn't stay on for long but at least they started that way.
  3. I bumped into the Venezia's K9 Patrol Team later that evening mingling with passengers at the elevators near the atrium.
  4. The crowd that Sunday in the Heroes Tribute Bar/Lounge for the Patriots/Cowboys game was decidedly filled with Dallas fans. This photo was taken right after the Cowboys had scored a touchdown off of a Mac Jones fumble. They then pulled off a fake on the extra point and passed for the two points and were now ahead 18-3. Being from the Boston area I laid low and eventually escaped quietly. 😉
  5. Joey the CD publicly announced the numbers at least a couple of times during the cruise as around 3,978 total of which only 118 of those were under 18. Late during the second week that number was announced as 112 which I am thinking might have come from crew members from St. Lucia who had families on board who debarked there. This was the inaugural visit to St. Lucia of the Carnival Venezia and a ceremony was held at the port which can be seen in this video(sorry Jeff if I am jumping ahead on your review here but I thought it was a good time to post this and it will make people even more interested to see and read your posts on that stop)...Rob https://youtu.be/CoRifqa_3cY?feature=shared
  6. I had veteran steward I Wayan(from Bali, Indonesia)on deck 10 at the bow who I felt was strong in all aspects. Even though I was travelling solo and had 4 pool towels to start with he would replace them every day when I took one for the pool or an excursion. At St. Lucia we chatted for a time out on the quiet public balcony in front of my room with him reminiscing about his first visit to the island years ago.
  7. When is the release date for the @Jamman54 Spring '24 line of cruising apparel?
  8. No problem, besides I didn't join in the fun until the turnaround in NYC when you headed South so who knows I could show up in Patti's pics somewhere. 😉
  9. I prefer the yachts with their own choppers onboard! 😉 This one was in Freeport in May of '22. Enjoying your review, photos and history lessons. 🙂
  10. Most people eventually figure out the new elevator system but I did see some straining to read the highly reflective b/w touch screens under the bright lights in certain areas. The photo here shows a screen with good contrast which wasn't always the norm. A larger non-reflective display like this drink menu one(with less words of course)would probably work better.
  11. Yes third in line for the Captain's job seems appropriate for him and Patti could share great photos of the sunrises and sunsets from her post in the crows nest to share with us.🙂
  12. Remember the old slogan, "Reading is fun"? Well here is the entire library(including games)on Carnival's newest "fun ship" the Venezia.
  13. Just got off the Venezia (2019 ship) and there was a 2ft long crack in a large aft window in the main dining room, so the age of the ship is not the problem in that case.
  14. Just another update on comedians it will be Jason Andors with his PG show "Mommas Boy" and Vanessa Hollingshead with her R-18+ show " New York Woman" Thursday night onboard.
  15. Just a follow up on my previous post about upcoming comedians on this cruise, it will be Jim Brick, not Jim Brickman joining us soon.
  16. Another interesting piece of info about this cruise from CD Joey Boyes is that there are 118 under 18's on this ship. The length and time of the year of this cruise changes the typical CCL age breakdown for sure.
  17. One of the questions going into this longer Journeys cruise was who and how many comedians would there be. Punchliners on the Venezia has been packed for shows by Carl Falkenberry and Jerome for the first third of the cruise and now starting in Curacao on Thursday Jason Love, Jim Brickman, Vanessa Hollingswood, and Alex Elkin will join us for the final 10 days.
  18. Oh he should have had Hawaiian. They'll be plenty of meatballs around the next two weeks on the ship. Of course they may not all be food related.😉
  19. Let's hope so. After starting this roll call 316 days ago and updating us often John and his family deserve a place at the front of the line tommorow!🙂
  20. I'm out here across the river in Newark at the Hilton Home2 Suites with all the comforts and some fellow sailmates of ours tomorrow I ran into here. Yes please save some bacon for us or there could be a mutiny on our cruise if we run short during that second week!
  21. As usual the maps and itineraries don't always match on the HAL site as Yorktown is shown on the maps but doesn't appear in their listed itinerary. A quick check on an other site does show stops there by the HAL ships on May 5 from 8-5 and June 10 from 8-6,
  22. Some might have received an email from HAL about this already but for those who didn't the '25 Canada/New England cruises are officially available to book now on the website. They include an early 15 day voyage for the Zuiderdam from Florida in May and a later than usual 14 day voyage from Florida for the Volendam in June with both including stops in Yorktown, VA. There are also a couple of interesting longer 10 and 11 day voyages that include Newfoundland and St. Pierre port visits.
  23. Here is the full list that @JOHN 57 posted four days ago.
  24. Exactly my dilemma! LOL Maybe you could sew them into the underw... oops no forget that idea! 😉
