  1. And what your having to put up with is the reason I keep going on aboutP&O. I only had a small problem compared to yours but they ignored it. Until people realise what is happening and join together then nothing will change and P&O will continue to behave in this despicable manner. I hope you come out of this ok.
  2. That is exactly what I just posted! It means that, as I have rightly said that you cannot book your holiday completely on youe computer unless of course you pay up front for the various activities/food. Can you actually book the Limelight from home?
  3. Not when I have cruised. You cannot book using OBC BEFORE you board and each time I have tried they have all been booked by those who pay beforehand and early boarders.
  4. Which is exactly what I get on holiday. If you pay it all in advance then it must cost a packet out of your own pocket instead of being able to use OBC.
  5. And how many things change either before or when you board the ship? I love the way OBC is unable to be used for specialist dining etc. Must cost you a packet if you are doing the specialist dining and Limelight etc having to pay.
  6. All of which can be done at home in front of my computer. Can you book everything for a cruise without leaving your chair...and in about 10 mins? I doubt it. By the time I leave for the airport/destination I know exactly what I am getting.
  7. It looks as though the cruiseline is introducing booze cruises now. Remember, the definition of heavy drinking is over 4 drinks per day or 15 per week for men.. I reckon the drinks packages are well over triple this amount....making it a cruise that AA would be interested in. The alcoholic abuse is one reason I stopped cruising on P&O after experience on Iona.
  8. Wow! I thought cruising was supposed to be relaxed and calm. What time do I board: Where shall I eat: Everywhere is booked: The app is not working properly: What drinks package: How much is the drinks package: What about the wi-fi: Who should I tip: Is the tipping not going to be included:Which restaurant should I eat in: What about freedom dining: Do I choose select or what: Is there still car parking/coach travel included: What OBC will I get: This is all so stress free and there was me simply booking a couple of flights and a hotel in 15 mins with no questions needed.
  9. Will you still need the ESTA to enter the USA?
  10. It is, as NCL do not go from Southampton on a regular basis as far as I know.
  11. I had one removed on my head and one on the shoulder, the latter just been frozen off. They occurred about a year between them and each time my insurance did not increase, but then again it was around six months after each that we holidayed again. I did declare them. I also declare (on the update we have each few years) both hip replacements and a gall bladder removal. The only drawback from these is that I set the alarm off in any security I go through!
  12. Not a tourist area . Iowa which is Sioux Indian territory. He teaches there. I could not afford to relocate as medical is too expensive unless you are a millionaire.
  13. Its a good excuse for avoiding any work as even lifting an iron I regarded as heavy work!.
  14. Getting ready for our American trip to see our son in a couple of weeks. We have been in touch with car hire people at the USA airport and the airline people. To say the customer relations people are 100% better than the English ones is an understatement. They all seem knowledgable, polite and pleasant and very willing to help. Perhaps we should send our people to the USA for training.
  15. Had mine removed about 7 months ago...given a normal meal about three hours later. I was told to eat as normal whilst other people said avoid spicy foods! I thought I might weigh less but no..it hardly made a difference. Maybe as some on here suggest, if I had my brain removed I would still weigh the same.lol.
  16. I must apologise as we have been at cross purposes. I have been referring to the buffet not the MDRs. As you say about your husband and getting into the MDRs early for breakfast. I have no idea what they do there as we have never used it.
  17. Whilst I do not wish to argue with a seasoned cruiser like yourself both me and my wife have been on Iona and Britannia in the last year. I can honestly say that no drinks, save wine, were served at any table in the buffet within our sight. The drinks machines at four sites in the corridor down the side of the buffet were working at both breakfast and dinner. They had hot water, tea bags and coffee (to make your own which everyone seemed to be doing by the queue lengths) and milk and water machines. In the morning the machines had grapefruit, orange and pineapple drinks to serve yourself. They were the ONLY source of these drinks available..no servers giving drinks out. I have to say that, with all respect to you, those who say this is not true either have their eyes closed or are just being contradictory for the sake of it. 99% of passengers would back me up on this. Of course if the situation has changed since our last cruise in March then I apologise. Majortom agrees with me!
  18. It is what happened to me. We had trays on RCI and we were never served food OR drinks at the table in the buffet. As to Princess line, maybe I was unlucky..OR maybe the odd cruiser who agrees with you are wrong or had a different experience to me. I will bow down to the superior knowledge that the four or five regulars on here have been on all the cruise lines recently and P&O serve drinks in the buffet. It is just me and my wife who have never been served in such a way.
  19. On P&O Britannia and Iona the jam/marmalade/honey was in small packets as was the butter. You just put those on your plate but with six or seven of each plus 6 slices of toast plus 2 knives you needed a tray.
  20. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Anyway as you stated you have not been on P&O for a while and I have so facts are facts. I am sorry but eating in the buffet 28 times on our last two P&O cruises I never saw anyone served juice, water or tea at the tables. There was the drinks station which always had small queues even though there were 4 of them...always busy.
  21. Having taken two cruises on P&O in the last year, Iona and Britannia I can safely state that there were trays in the buffet AND they did not serve drinks at the buffet tables (except for wine, and only two were serving that). Of course the MDRs may be different but I never used them.
  22. So, despite 4 cruises in the past year I have no knowledge. OK. I admit the last Princess cruise I was on was a couple of years ago, maybe three.. and they did NOT serve juice or water at tables in the buffet. Of course they may do in the MDRs but we rarely use them.
  23. Sorry, I thought this was the P&O forum. My mistake.
