  1. RCL has Kids Sail Free almost all year around, except summers and holidays. The ships are full of kids all year round, even when they should be in school.
  2. Yes, I was hoping to just have 24 bottles of water delivered to cabin, but will bring on with me, along with the wine. Martinis t the martini bar.
  3. Thank you. I’ve looked and didn’t find it written anywhere.
  4. I’ll buy my drinks as I go. I’m really wondering about bottled water. RCL has packages wher I can buy water and have it delivered to the room. Looking for Celebrity rules.
  5. I’m not paying for a beverage package for bottled water.
  6. I’ve been looking for a list of what beverages and amounts of each I can bring on board. Can someone point me in the direction of this info? Thanks.
  7. I had the same problem in Jan of this year on the Harmony. I drank bottled water, but did drink iced tea and lemonade made from the ship’s water. I was told the desalination process uses salt in the process. I asked my Dr about this and she confirmed that could very well be the reason why my ankles and feet blew up daily by around 5 pm. I’m not a large woman and don’t usually retain fluid like that. Hasn’t happens since we were off this ship. It will be interesting to see if it happens in Nov when we sail again.
  8. I switched from RCL to Celebrity because of the number of kids on RCL and not enforcing no children in the Solarium. They’re allowed in the other pools. Why can’t there be one area where they’re not allowed?
  9. I’ve subscribed but don’t get any Power Up emails. Do I need to do something else to received these?
  10. This is disheartening to hear. I come over to Celebrity bc RCL has become a preschool and recess all year round now. People take their kids out of school at anytime of the year. Parents don’t follow the rules, so why would the kids. I’m a believer the Solarium should be ADULYS ONLY 24/7!!!! The kids have the entire ship. Leave one spot for those who enjoy Petch and quiet, without splashing, screaming and diapers in the pool.
  11. Booked many cruises for the ship and not the ports. We’ve been to most of the Caribbean islands multiple times. There’s only so many islands and itineraries. I might like them to change some of the itineraries. Most of the time, I don’t even get off the ship.
  12. With ships sailing to capacity or very close, are large quantities of people still getting a royal Ups? We went from a balcony to a Croswn Losft Suite but there were only 1980 passengers sailing then. Wondering what the chances are for this January>
  13. I have family on a cruise leaving today and how can I follow to see if their itinerary is being affected due to tropical storms in the island? They used to post them on their page but can’t seem to find anything.
  14. We were on the HOTS in Jan. We booked an oceanview with a larger balcony 8 night cruise for $2600. Received our Royal Up big of $440/pp. we were fortunate to the the CLS for a total of $3700. Yes, it was a once on a lifetime price! Enjoy!
  15. I love to stay on board and the only port we got off on the last 2 cruises was Coco Cay. We had been to Nassau, St. Thomas and St Martin so many times that I had no desire to go again. I love the ship when the masses are off. Enjoy it!
  16. I’m the OP and I had not noticing many negative comments on here and on a RCL FB sites. I loved our Jan RCL cruise so much that we booked 3 more the week we arrived home. I’m sailing in a couple of weeks so I’ll be able to again form my own opinion of my experience. I’m hopi g that the neg comments from people are just from people who do like to complain and or have expectations of 5 star restaurants.
  17. There seems to be so many negative complaints about food, cleanliness and service coming for so many people on a variety of ships now. We’re sailing in a couple weeks and all the negative comments are concerning. We were on 2 cruises in Jan/Feb and the RCCL food, service and cleanliness were excellent. I’m sure the food has to do with the escalating costs of food. You can’t continue to buy quality cuts of meats and with inferior cuts, it’s hard to get the same results. The cleanliness will be an issue. If this is what cruising is turning into, unfortunately, it’s time for another hiatus for us. I’m hoping it’s just people who can’t be made happy that are doing the complaining.

  19. We haven’t cruised in Carnival in at least 15 yrs and of that 15, we took a 12 yr hiatus. After retiring to SC, we thought we’d give Carnival a try seeing the Sunshine sails out of Charleston. It would be great to be so close to the port and be able to do a monthly cruise. This ship is dirty, smells like raw sewage when you walk down the halls. They only provide room cleaning.refreshing once daily. I have to say the only food that was half way decent was the baked potato and the soft serve ice cream. It was the first cruise in 20+ that we lost weight on. I’d say 98% of the staff were professional and pleasant. Carnival’s Covid policy was lacking, unlike Royal and NCL. Tables weren’t cleaned between people using them. They did enforce the masks in restaurants most of the time. Unfortunately, no other cruise lines sail out of this port and never will because of noise ordinances and the locals not wanting a ship in their town. What they fail to realize is, many of these passengers bring revenue to the city by staying in hotels, eating in restaurants and shopping there. Not to mention all the locals Who now work at the pier when the ships are coming in or leaving. We’ll continue to drive the extra distance down to Port Canaveral for better ships, multiple lines and multiple routes.
  20. Has anyone Royal Up’d from a free offer from the Casino? Is it even possible?
