  1. The extra tip in specialty restaurants typically doesn’t work….occasionally it will. It depends on the ship. We usually do specialty dining the first night…add the tip and then review the next morning on the cabin TV (which breaks out OBC ).
  2. If your luggage is airplane carry on size you can carry it on to the ship. There is typically a venue onboard where you can store the luggage until your cabin is ready. If your luggage is larger, or you don’t want to carry it on board, there will be porters as soon as you arrive at the port. Make sure your bags are tagged with the NCL luggage tags before handing it off to the porter. Porters like to be tipped…that’s up to you…it doesn’t affect whether your bags make it on the ship. Also, have any meds, valuables, etc. in a small bag you carryon and keep with you.
  3. My guess is NCL removed the expiration dates for accounting purposes. Without expiration dates they have an indefinite time to reduce projected revenue. In other words, they can claim revenue today for selling certs, but don’t have to reduce future revenue projections on a three year model. It’s really just a smoke and mirrors tactic for NCL bottom line.
  4. That’s crazy that you have to keep proving you are Human. I only had to answer once and it’s now letting me post. But the post where I got the “test” is nowhere to be found.
  5. Yes…I just answered your question about embarkation deck…which is 7. I guess that post will show up eventually. Have a great cruise!
  6. We have been able to use NR OBC for Bingo and Deal No Deal. The charge shows as Cruise Staff Entertainment.
  7. You can also print it, fill it out. Take a picture of it. Take a picture or screenshot of your statement which shows your name and 100 shares of NCLH stock. Start your email to shareholder benefit.com then insert/add the pictures. also, be sure to read what you cannot use the non-refundable for…there are several exclusions.
  8. Thanks for the tip. The Udon noodles looked amazing. As @ChiefMateJRK said, the steak was really tough. The shrimp were good. Our next visit will include the Udon. Our favorite restaurant is LeBistro followed by Cagney’s. The filet at LeBistro is typically better than Cagney’s (LeBistro’s filet does have a $10 upcharge for the foie gras…which I don’t eat). Also the scallops in cauliflower purée, the French Onion soup (yum) and the arugula salad with fried goat cheese are standouts. And, the best dessert is the Ile Flontante. Cagney’s is your typical chain steakhouse with service and food quality hit or miss. But still a nice break from the MDR. Tip: Dine at LeBistro or Cagney’s on the first night. There are fewer diners and food and service is better.
  9. The cruise ship doesn’t credit back to a credit card. It will be refunded in cash available the day before the morning of departure.
  10. Lol…I had to Google FFS. 😂. Fortunately YALL (Google it…lol) still have time to pull everyone together.
  11. No more bacon wrapped filet, no more lamb chops ☹️. And the protein served is lower quality…along with the frequency skewers coming around is further (a lot) apart. Moderno has fallen to the bottom of our dining choice…in fact, we’d probably select dinner buffet before Moderno. So sad.
  12. I’ve done this without any issue. I did ask my PCC before doing it and she said it was not a new booking, just a change. I know you reprice when possible, if you look at your booking #, my guess is that it doesn’t change. Despite what some say…we have also used $500 CF and later applied $500 CN…not intentionally. We don’t use our PCC when applying our certs, so there was no human intervention. I wouldn’t recommend trying this as I worried the entire time they would cancel our booking. They did not, thankfully.
  13. Typically it is not a cancel/rebook just a price adjustment and the booking number stays the same.
  14. I didn’t grow up eating Spam but my husband did. He recently convinced me to buy a can and fry it. My Lord, that was one nasty smelling product…and the grease it left behind! That being said, my husband, son and granddaughters woofed it down in an instant. With regards to research in general, quantitative (based on metrics) probably won’t change much; however, it will be very interesting to see how companies begin using AI to capture qualitative insights. It the past you would gather a group of people who self-identified as your target subject and ask them questions to find out what they thought. With the increasing usage of AI, you can probably gather those insights with a “submit” of a well-thought question.
  15. While dining in one of the restaurants you often see a very limited coffee selection on the menu. These are made from Starbucks brand coffee, similar to what you might find at a hotel. They are not the same as what you get at a Starbucks store. Here is an example of the coffees offered at LeBistro. If you have the beverage package you referenced, you could consume these without an additional charge.
  16. Following for certain! What better way to celebrate adventures of ‘23 and ring in ‘24 than a lively and animated LIVE from HBCcruiser…in steerage!! Wishing you a little respite from the craziness you are about to witness. You probably need a case of that bubbly!!
  17. If you meant CruiseFirst, yes you could buy one today and apply to your September booking as long as you don’t have a CN cert on it already.
  18. While you cannot use the CruiseFirst option for a Sailaway rate (which is what you book), you may find that booking a Free At Sea rate and buying/using a CruiseFirst certificate would net you some savings AND the additional features of Free At Sea. I would do a mock booking for FAS to see how that works out. I noticed that NCL is offering the $500 (for $250) cruise first right now. Also to answer your question about an add on. A sail away rate is cabin type that ends with an X ( OX, BX, etc.) so even if you added something it wouldn’t change your cabin type.
  19. That’s funny!! Wishing you and @roman70 an amazing cruise. It’s on our bucket list.
  20. You’re on a 15 day cruise. I would definitely upgrade/add 2 or more specialty meals. Bliss has a great selection of venues. Our favorites are LeBistro, Ocean Blue, Cagney’s. But LaCucina, Los Lobos, Food Republic are nice, as well. Plus they have Q, American Diner and Teppanyaki. So many to choose from.
  21. Well, looks like @HBCcruiser will be getting some extra playtime soon while herding cats…er, rats on the Bliss. Wax on, wax off. Wax on, wax off. Wax on, wax off.
