Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I think maybe around 10? It was about a 25-30 minute drive from the port. I think we stayed until 3? Nothing was mentioned about spa offerings but again this was the last week or so of the season (it was not available for booking until I got onboard I guess because they realized how good the weather still was) and the property was somewhat of a ghost town that day.
  2. I did, I absolutely loved it. Beautiful property, grounds were so lush, pools stunning with a view, beach was lovely, towels, chairs, bathrooms etc all top notch, staff was eager to please. I did go in early October so the season was over and the hotel was pretty dead so I can’t speak to what it would be like with a full house but my favorite day of my Greek cruise even if I can’t say I took in any real Turkish culture
  3. Seems like debark was easy breezy, enjoy the end of your stay in Greece!
  4. 36 and I feel this in my soul. Sad this trip is almost over, you’ve been so generous in sharing it and I feel like I have a much better sense of things for my October voyage- hope there are people as fun as you onboard then. Can’t thank you enough
  5. Pirate ship looked amazing, did you book ahead or are they easy to find when you get off the ship?
  6. Love this, I’ll be onboard 10/1 and this is getting me so excited. Have a wonderful time and keep the cocktail recs coming
  7. I was with the mostly dream weather in November! I booked in the summer before final payment and watched the prices start to crater (this may not have been the case for everyone, I was solo and the solo supplement which was major when I booked was eventually nonexistent or close to it). At that point I called Norwegian directly and simply asked (but with the numbers in my mind), the price difference to get a balcony. A very nice rep did essentially the same math with my cruise fare versus the current balcony rate and I authorized a credit charge for that pretty nominal fee and she assigned a cabin. I think low capacity on that sailing and watching the price pretty closely for months was key to the ease of it.
  8. I was also on the Gem last November and there was a big price drop after final payment. I was able to upgrade for a whopping 22 dollars and I cancelled upgrade a bid which was especially great as I was traveling solo and upgrades are double occupancy
  9. If you a want to go to Greece with 50 dollars extra loot Greek Island glow (Mykonos overnight) Brand new Resilient Lady October 1-8, 2023 https://virg.in/obsn
  10. I am so sorry this happened on your trip. I am 35 and was on the Oasis solo for a 7 day I’m September and didn’t have any of this. If anything on the longer sailings, the only thing was people noticing that you’re solo as the days go by and constant questions about why I was solo from the waterslide operator asking me why I didn’t want a husband or kids to people who wanted to toast me for being brave for going it alone which was well intentioned but was either soul crushing or humorous depending on my mood. It was constant and a lot lol. Anyway maybe a 7 day might be nice for you since I had no issues with anything inappropriate and almost can’t imagine that happening it’s the 7 day crowd on either RCL or Celeb.I also found the Schooner bar to be a great crowd I was comfortable in as a solo female. I hope your next cruise is great!
  11. I am on the equinox now- solo, first cruise etc. Dining solo is no problem- I’ve went at different times with and without reservations and been accommodated at my own table within 2 minutes. They’ve accommodated other solos who want to stay with the same table/waiter nightly as well. But highly recommend Tuscan as a solo for one night- 530 restaurant was nearly empty, panoramic ocean table, was just a divine experience
