  1. I think with the ability to book a future cruise at home and still get the OBC credit / reduced deposits, I think maybe I'll just wait until after the cruise. At least that's what the flyer in my cruise document says, maybe I'm missing something? On the topic of transferring it to your TA if you booked on board - with respect to the TA of the platinum variety, has anyone had experience booking onboard and then having it transferred to this TA? If so, I would imagine you would still get the CPP benefits?
  2. On my upcoming cruise in September, they are asking for $90 per day for premium, or $75 per day for classic, with tips included. The bundled pricing with AI is cheaper than doing everything a la carte for sure. As someone says up above, the tips money is true value, wifi probably not, and you're need to estimate how much you will consume to make the Bev package worthwhile.
  3. Anyone know about current Apple product stock situation on Infinity and Solstice ships?
  4. This cruises with the solo sale prices are now through the end of March, did you happen to pick one of those? I just did a sample Apex cruise price in April 2023, pricing out a solo with the AI package was the same (give or take a few bucks) as 2 people with the AI package, though add on the port taxes for the 2nd person. Seems better for a solo to buy a drink package separately in the CP or on board.
  5. Curious, are these CVP's external travel agents or Celebrity employees? Would they offer any of the discounts / other benefits one would get with booking with 3rd party travel agents?
  6. Did know this, thanks for the tip. Do you know if other Travel agents can do this as well, or only a Celebrity CVP?
  7. In the news today, Carnival bookings are soaring after they changed their testing guidance... just saying
  8. I'm starting to get a sense for how problematic RC/Celebrity IT or general support is - between this, pricing makes little sense, long call hold times, website pages crashing, refund delays, etc. At least the cruises are good!
  9. code no longer works on the sailings I'm looking at, looks like price for AI is now higher (like normal) vs cruise only fare. Good while it lasted, hopefully some of you were able to use the deal.
  10. Yep, I have 3 Amex cards and check all of them… I wish there was a feature to “add all offers” instead of clicking one by one. I see an Oceania deal, but not interested right now.
  11. I’ve been adding all the new offers everyday, there literally over 100 offers on my card now…. Yet nothing for Celebrity, or even Royal. Sigh.
  12. So I've never done a reprice before, looking to get some advice from the group before I attempt. I have a booking for April 2023 through a TA (the platinum variety) which I've only put the $500 non refundable deposit down, and final payment is due 1/1/23. Right now, I see a deal on the celebrity website that can potentially save me about $1k off that price, same room / benefit and all. 1. If I reprice, would I lose the $500 deposit? Since this would not be a technical "cancel", hopefully they just apply my deposit to the repriced cruise. 2. I assume I would lose any of the promotions I had before, and just get the current promotions applied. I'm ok with this. 3. Do I call Celebrity, or do I call my TA? 4. I'm going to be on Infinity in early September, so would it be better for me to wait until then and try to rebook it while I'm on the cruise in order to get the additional on cruise booking benefits? Would this even work? Should I just "cancel" now and lose the $500, and hope to come out ahead while I book onboard? I realize lots can change between now and then and prices may go up. This is not straightforward at all. Thanks!
  13. On page where they ask number of passengers, expand the filter below “see if you qualify” and plug in the code
  14. Yeah with and without the code on that ship is a big difference - with code under $600 with AI package, without code is $830 with no AI package. They are definitely trying to fill up that ship. Might be some other good deals with other near date cruises.
  15. Look at Solstice sailings this November… Nov 12, single with veranda guaranty, drinks wifi and tips under $600 with that code, though only $50 obc
  16. Looks like it also comes with wifi, drinks and tips.... Very good deal, unless this is a mistake fare?
  17. I did... hopefully we won't have a problem once on the cruise!
  18. On a Solstice cruise in Nov 2022, I see Murano is offering a 1st night special price on day 1 as well as day 4. Is this a glitch in the pricing? Have others seen this before? I was thinking of doing Tuscan on day 1 and Murano on day 4 and get both at 1st night special pricing. Would otherwise have done Murano on day 1 but its only available after 9pm which is too late for us.
  19. Update - I just got an email and updated invoice that the OBC credit has been applied. So maybe give them 3 working days before resubmitting? At least in my example. I logged into the cruise planner but did not see the added OBC, is it supposed to show up now, or upon boarding to the cruise? Or maybe the system just didn't update yet.
  20. I submitted a shareholder benefit request using the form last Friday July 29th, and yet to hear back from them. My cruise is on Sept 10 on the Infinity, so have a little time but not much. Based on others experiences, should I reach out to them (e.g. resubmit using the email approach) or give them a little bit more time? How long should I wait?
  21. Thanks, that confirmed my concerns. With a low house edge game like BJ, I may be stuck playing with promo chips for a while, all the while not getting tier points credit for my play.
  22. Andrew, let’s say I get the chips offer and get all $550 in promotional chips. If I’m playing blackjack, and first bet is $25 using the promotional chips - what happens if I tie? Do they take the chips and give me back $25 in real chips? What happens if I win the bet? Do they take the chips and give me back $50 in real chips? Thanks
  23. Yes, need to use Amex Plat through the cruise privilege program. I think you need a min 5 night sailing, which you then get either 100/200/300 OBC depending on category, and a bottle of either champagne or wine. I’ve booked them online and also by phone, my advice is its easier to call them. You also get 2x membership rewards points.
  24. Thanks JIm, I guess I’ll have to follow one of the other OBC cash out strategies others have posted
