  3. What's open for lunch other than the Winjammer on embarkation day? I thought maybe the main dining room, but was told that's only for Key guest. I asked in roll call, but no response.
  4. My vote is Jewel also. We booked the 8 day in a suite to go back to the ABC's.

I di not read all responses, but in my opinion you need to weigh the good you believe you'll get out of the entire cruise against the bad, in this case the bad might be shows not as good as you'd like taking also into consideration the price of the cruise and ports. I think you would be the only ones who can decide if it's worth it to you. I wish you the best in your decision. Whatever that is be happy with it, move on, and enjoy life.
  6. My wife and I are both retired USAF. We've always appreciated a military discount, but never thought any different if we didn't get one. My personal experience at least where I live is many who served, no matter how briefly expect businesses to offer them. Some won't even go back if they don't. I have noticed pre-covid RC seemed to offer more discounts than they currently do. Maybe they changed their business model? I would like to see discounts offered consistent, but maybe they can't for whatever reason? If discounts aren't offered why have people check the box hoping to get one? JMHO. Thanks to all who served.
  7. We're Diamond Plus so we've traveled a lot on RC. We've never had an issue with our portable steamer. This isn't to say we won't next time, but in our case the definitely have not taken it so far.
  8. We've always bought a portable steamer. We put it in our checked bags with no issues.
  9. Does anyone know of a reputable place to buy Cuban cigars in any of the ABC Islands?
  10. JMO, but if service isn't up to what you paid for I think something discreetly must be said. I'd start with the lowest level and work my way up if I didn't see immediate change. Each person has their own way to deal with issues. I think we'd all have to be put in this situation to see exactly how we'd respond. But the bottom line again in my opinion is we each pay for these trips and except good service. Some personalities will let some things slide, while others will speak right up. As long as we are polite and explain what was wrong and what we'd like to see corrected it should be resolved one way or the other. I've had waiters respond immediately and had dining room managers have to step in to correct he issue. When someone else pays for my cruise they can solve any issue I may have in their own way, but until then I will.
  11. Good to know. We'll be on Jewel in a few months. Also in a suite. I guess our daily free drinks will go against our total in the Concierge Club.

  15. I understand if you bring a portable fan onboard it must be UL certified. I've found several on Amazon using USB not plug ins. But none say UL certified. RCCL via Twitter says USB or not it has to say UL certified. If this is true, and I suspect it is any ideas on small portable fans using USB that are UL certified?

  17. We are a group of 3 couples. All reservations are linked to me. When I do the online check in (45 days prior to cruising) will I be able to check in the other two couples? We are in suites if it matters?
  18. While this sounds like a great idea it appears with the QR codes being displayed by Royal they want use to use them to look at menus.
