  1. Forgot to mention ,you must pay off the balance before you can receive the 30,000 My Cruise points.
  2. I got the Celebrity Visa in October. Made a payment of $1000 on my cruise reservation. About a month later I received the 30,000 My Cruise points. I called and had the points converted to an OBC of $300. No issues.
  3. This was at the entrance for Dining on the Edge. It should be the same on the Beyond.
  4. Beyond is in port in Ft Lauderdale that day. We are cruising the week of Feb. 5 -12. Thinking it might be on the big screen in the Rooftop Garden. That where they showed the game between the Bengals and the Chiefs on Jan.30, 2021
  5. Bluemoose... We always tour with Spencer Ambrose Tours St. Lucia .
  6. We have been to St Lucia about 7-8 times. We always take an excursion to see the Pitons. Stopped at a black sand beach and cruised up into Marigot Bay. One of our favorite excursions!
  7. Post outside of MDR on Equinox just this pass August. Stated in black and white and pretty easy to understand what is required
  8. Yes smoking is still allowed on the port side of the ship.
  9. Plain as the nose on your face... Taken at entrance to MDR on Equinox just last month. Some people just don't care! Maybe instead of telling others on this post who are concerned about passengers not adhering to the stated dress code to find another cruise line, advise them to chose someone other than Celebrity.
  10. Called Blue Chip Club yesterday. WE were informed the offers are based not only on the amount played in the casino on board ship but also on amount played at other casinos associated with Blue Chip Club. We play everyday onboard (lots of $$). The most they will offer us is 60% off a cruise. They also stated the offer is not available for the Beyond or holiday sailings. I am seeing on here posts that contradict what we were told. Not sure what to believe.
  11. When booking a cruise/trip a travel agency has a place to add an "agency fee". Most, not all, will add $50 -$100 for the booking. Some add more depending on the cost of the trip/cruise and their time spent booking it. Some agents will then turn around and give you an OBC for that amount. Having been an agent for years it is not something I ever did but was encourage to do so by the agency owner. I have given back part of my commission to the booking client as a OBC to celebrate a special occasion..
  12. We just got back from the Equinox. They had LV bags, but beware the bags they sell are "gently used" bags" not new.
  13. Park Royal was $60 pp but they would drop it to $20 if you let them try to sell you a timeshare for 1 hour.. Free if you let them try to sell it for 2 hours
  14. We were not told when we checked in that the food would be limited. It was 3 items for the both of us, NOT 3 items each. We were there on Thursday. There was 3 cruising couples including us. Two couples, both from TX, that was staying at a small hotel and the rest were locals, confirmed by my husband who had a very long conversation with some of them while sitting in the pool in the shade. I did not expect the dishes to be shareable in size but I did expect them to be the same as they were in January when we were there.
  15. Just back from the Celebrity Equinox. Planned on doing a day pass at the Grand Park Royal. We inquired there about their day passes. We were told we would need to give them our ID's ( drivers license, passport or sea passes) for them to hold until we left and turned in our wristbands...HELL NO! We went back to Del Mar Latino. The price was $39 per person with unlimited drinks but this time they limited the food to 3 food items total for the two of us. We shared the chicken fingers( 3 very small pieces) and the wings, which were a joke. I swear I think they killed one of the local birds because they were no bigger then a birds leg. The place was packed with very loud and drunk locals. I gave a prior review of Del Mar Latino earlier when we visited in January. Wanted to give it a second chance but this will be the last time we go.
  16. Thanks for everyone's help. I found on the website it is one Evening Chic night for a 6 night cruise.
  17. Per their website Celebrity is not a "no dress code come as you are experience." Onboard Dress Code Smart Casual attire can be enjoyed every other night of your cruise Women should feel comfortable wearing: Skirt, pants or jeans with a casual top Men should feel comfortable wearing: Pants or jeans with a short sleeve sport shirt. Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.
  18. This will be our 14th cruise on Celebrity but our first 6 night cruise. Wondering how many "chic" nights are there and which days?
  19. My comments were based on the experience and observations we had on our visit. As I said the location , price and view is great. Just a 10 minute walk from our ship, Celebrity Edge. When we arrived, we were the only ones there for about 2 hours. A couple from Michigan came down from the El Cid Resort where they were honeymooning. No one else showed up while we were there. We left at 4 PM. Maybe "old " was the incorrect way to describe it. Unkept might be a better word. The white lounges cushions were soiled and had not been wiped off for the day. No problem, we just asked a worker to take care of it for us. The other couple pointed out the dirty grout and missing/broken pool tiles. There was an issue with no toilet paper in the stall. Again taken care of by asking a worker. We guess we just expected these small issues to be addresses "before" letting in paying customers. As a travel agent, I have stayed a lot of A/I resort. Some not ALL are very stingy with the alcohol. Problem easily solved by ordering a shot on the side to add the the drink. When in the Caribbean, "full strength" beer is not an option. I want my boat drinks and frozen concoctions. We will be back to Cozumel in a couple weeks on the Celebrity Equinox. Still trying to decide what to do. It may be the Del Mar Latino Beach Club again or maybe a new place ( El Cid or Grand Park Royal). I recommend DMLBC to all my clients who want a quite place to just chill, close to the port. I always suggest they read reviews/ videos to decide if it is something they would like.
  20. We were there in February this year. The pool is very small. No beach. They sell a number of limited day passes.. The food was just OK. Mixed drinks are a little on the weak side. The property is older and does show it's age. The walking distance, price and view is what you go for. No food or drinks served after 4 PM.
  21. We have cruised Celebrity for many years. Out of common courtesy and respect to the cruise line and staff we always follow the suggested "dress guidelines". Of the major cruise companies (Carnival NCL RCCL and Celebrity) it is an upscale cruise line. There are not rock climbing walls, putting greens or water slides on Celebrity ships. There is emphasis on trendy culinary experiences, hi-tech educational workshops and a modern onboard vibe. Look at all the marketing videos for the cruise lines. That should give you an indication as to how they would like the customer to dress. The staff may not say anything about wearing shorts to the MDR but , trust me, they and other are talking about it behind your back.. As a travel agent, I always advise my clients to be sure to have the male travelers pack slacks. One client did not and had to eat in the buffet each night for their all-inclusive resort. Would you wear shorts to a fine dining restaurant at home, probably not. OMG... It's just a pair of pants!!
  22. I have the Always included package for our upcoming Beyond cruise. If we upgrade to the Indulge package is the OBC to only be used for shore excursions or can it be used though out the ship?
  23. I understand the Infinity was to be refurbished last year. Can anyone that has cruised on her this year confirm if that did take place?
