  1. It all depends on the amount of points that you accumulate. Check out “chill cruiser” for an explanation of Princess Casino offers. Then compare with the offers from HAL and the points you generated there.
  2. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread.
  3. That is out of my league. It’s entertainment for me. I have consolidated my gambling funds and now go on 2 to 3 cruise trips a year, most over 14 days. I play and get what I get - I’m not chasing a comp.
  4. Thanks for the info - I also tend to play craps later in the evening and on our transatlantic cruise last year there were not many players some nights and when I showed up the table was closed down. which was disappointing but when I did play I did get to develop a rapport with the crew. They were also very knowledgeable which isn’t always the case.
  5. I agree with all that has been posted. Check out “chill cruiser” who put out a video on Princess gambling. He pretty much echos all that has been said. It does appear it is based on points earned and the table game question has a lot of mystery to it.
  6. Which was a fantastic investment based on what my cruise would have cost me otherwise 😏
  7. I paid in full as required to book my casino offer.
  8. Yes they do and they could have at least had a bar so smokers could hang there instead of camping out at random machines to smoke!
  9. Great - I called today and complained about not being able to book dining reservations since I have paid in full since the middle of last year. Was told it will be 30 to 60 days out. That really is unacceptable.
  10. By sailing when they did with a lot not operational they really upped the pressure on themselves. Each cruise will create a new expectation based on reviews and bad reviews will impact sales.
  11. I hope Princess gets it together cause I’m on the 6/8 sailing!
  12. Well it for sure guaranteed that I’ll never sail the first month or maybe a little longer on a new ship. Always good to let The kinks get worked out!
  13. That and the entertainment is lacking!
  14. I will second the suggestion to take cold meds. I have really bad hay fever and last year I ran out. I could not find Mucinex or Advil cold and sinus anywhere. Needless to say I’ll be taking double. On the bright side most places have Pharmacias everywhere and they can prescribe most meds - you just won’t find your favorite brands.
  15. Agree - you couldn’t pay me to be the chair monitor. People are rude and downright nasty when it comes to loungers.
  16. They should incorporate a process where the medallion is used to require people to update their presence on a regular basis. They could have a responder on the lounge chair were the lounge chair would timeout if not updated by a certain time. If timed out then chair is open - also if it has been updated then you can’t check in.
  17. Always easier to get seated if you have a reservation even if you go early.
  18. Did you book all legs of your trip with your CSR which I understand is key for your trip to be covered.
  19. Just thinking again, I do have insurance through the ship. Shouldn’t that cover me for the cruise portion? And then world nomads for the land portion? Thanks in advance.
  20. OMG that is great information - didn’t know about the sixty days and just now figured out the total trip cause I didn’t book both the initial cruise and plane fare home on my Chase card. I got cruise insurance cause I wanted to cover myself if either my wife or myself got COVID. (Side question do you know if Chase would cover cruise cancelation from Covid). I was going to insure the land portion through World Nomads so I’ll now cover the entire 3 months. I really appreciate your information and help.
  21. Maybe posted the wrong image - I downloaded a wine menu!
