That would be a change from my several experiences…for me if under $25 had to cash out at Guest Services & if more they mailed a check.

I had a problem with our refundable credit on Discovery ending 2 weeks ago. The evening before disembarking had $255 of refundable credit & the emailed final statement received the day after the cruise shows only $193 being referred to corporate finance. I’ve written their Customer Relations but if like so many others I’ve read about doubt if it will be corrected. It’s a relatively minor amount of money but I want to be treated fairly. By not supplying a printed final statement & removing the kiosks we don’t know if it’s correct until receiving an email…bad way to treat their guests!

Our friends also had the same problem. I was with them when we asked at Passenger services the last evening for a printout.I saw on mine that our spec. dining that night hadn't been charged yet, but knew the amount. I wanted to spend the remainder of what was left so I bought something in the gift shop.  Our friends just were wanting the refund for the refundableFCC but when they got the email  with final bill, also less showing. I believe she was going to write to Customer Relations.

Thank you. I just checked and it said that I had to report to my local health department and that the form was for Health department use.

I just wanted to make sure that they counted us because it shows that the Discovery is orange. With how many passengers we had on our sailing that would mean about six passengers had Covid (If I asked Siri correctly). I have a feeling there was probably that many just in our Roll Call???

    I knew 5 for sure .

Oh dear, that’s not good.  They told me sometimes it takes five or six days after exposure before you test positive.  So if he got it the day before then maybe he will test positive today? When were his first symptoms?  On Monday?

Make sure he’s drinking plenty of fluids. I am drinking the Gatorade that has a G on the front in the flavor of cool blue. The doctor saw that I had Gatorade in my hand and told me to keep drinking it.  I usually do not like the taste of Gatorade but this flavor is good. I am having funny things happen with my taste buds to where it will be sweet and then sometimes I’ll go to take another drink and it tastes like salt, strange.

I had to go back to the ER yesterday (since Monday I have had one urgent care trip and two ER trips).  Yesterday they gave me an inhaler and right at this moment I am feeling so much better. Do you think he needs an inhaler?

Do not wait to seek medical treatment. As I learned the hard way a few years ago stuff with the lungs can turn bad really quick. They would not let me into my doctors office (we did a video appointment) and at first urgent care was going to keep me out of the building and when they finally let me in they had to make sure that every single employee was in for PPE with no other patients around.  But then I had to leave there and go to the ER anyway.

Please keep me posted.  You are both in my thoughts and prayers. Tell him I said to get well soon. How are you feeling???

ETA:  if you do not have one, go to the store and pick up one of the oxygen finger reader things. I forgot what it’s called. I was told to monitor that.

Thanks for the good advice. We were planning on going to urgent care since hubby is not getting

better. We have a PCR test scheduled for tomorrow. My daughter is a nurse and she said we may be getting false negatives on the rapid antigen test.My husband's cough is really bad. He is using Albuteral spray and it helps , plus Robitussin DM. He still is barking like a dog.I am okay. I did have Covid in January. We  do have an oxometer(the thing that measures Oxygen).

No, it is not the same but some people still have severe symptoms.  I have been to the ER twice in 4 days.  It’s definitely not like a cold for some of us.  I am fully vaccinated and boosted. Thank goodness I am because I think it would have been major trouble if I wasn’t.  This really stinks.  I pray that everyone gets well soon.

As I mentioned previously , we were on the same two weeks as you (Discovery). My husband started coughing slightly day after we disembarked. We keep testing him and always negative. However, he is so sick right now, barking cough, very weak. he is fully boosted (second booster). He was up all night. So either Covid not showing up on the in home rapid test or he picked up something else on the ship.

He is stubborn about going to Dr. but I am going to make him an appt. either see our Dr. or urgent care.

This is not like a cold.   I had Covid in January but really nothing like what he has now.

  5.  We got off  Discovery on Sunday. By Monday my husband wasn't feeling well. We both tested at home and were negative.

By Tuesday he started coughing and headache. Today he has been in bed most of the day, coughing, sneezing, etc.  Tested negative again. He has had two boosters. Don't know if he needs to do a PCR test  instead of Rapid Antigen test. He may have the flu. Whatever he has, he picked up on Discovery for sure. Most of the times we wore our masks except when eating and drinking.I keep telling him to call  our Dr. or go to Urgent care. He is stubborn. He did speak to a nurse about another matter , mentioned his symptoms, and she thought the Flu but too late to take tamaflu for it.  He did have a flu shot a few months ago.

It indeed is your Captain's Circle Membership Level.  You are not the first person to report having the wrong code associated.  You can call in to Princess and ask for that Dept.  You can write CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises.com.  Otherwise, you would have to wait until on board.  Since you are not Platinum or Elite, it doesn't really have an adverse impact on your booking, abilities, or ordering items.

Mine first showed Elite (e) when we started back cruising. For our recent cruises it showed B. I reported it and nothing was done. Still got our correct Medallion and Elite was recognized on board. A couple of weeks ago my Husband's was showing Elite on new booking and mine still had B.

Then checked again after our recent cruise and now we are both B(blue first time cruisers) again.I give up on this ever being corrected.

  7. Also two weeks on Discovery and it carried through. Problem was if I went to the front desk and asked to see the totals, they wouldn't give me my husband's. Said he was the card holder and I only was an authorized user. Well, it is my credit card and my husband isn't on the account . They wouldn't change it so I just left it alone.

I've seen a few rude passengers but never seen a crew member of any rank berating another member of the crew. That would really boggle my mind.

Well, it happened on the Discovery. A supervisor yelling at a crew members in the buffet, loud enough for passengers to notice.Week two of our cruise.(April 3rd cruise)

  9. to Ms So Cal Cruiser:

Hope you have a speedy recovery:

We were also on the two weeks with you. Fortunately we tested negative during B2B and when we got home.We were also one of the masked at all times people. That first week on Discovery there were so many people that were mask free. In the elevators, people stuffing themselves in and no masks. I was in an elevator with my mask and people shoved in . I was only one with a mask. A man announced no way will he ever wear a mask  and no one could make him. No one answered and I know being the only one with one on, it was addressed to me. It took everything on my part not to tell him off.

  10. Don't know why Discovery dropped it. We were on the first two sailings. After week one, we knew people who were sick with Covid towards the end of week one (reported and put in isolation)and people that tested positive  during the B2B testing  and had to leave the ship instead. On week one hardly anyone wore masks anywhere and we heard plenty of coughing. Wonder how many people didn't report their symptoms or went home after week one sick. On our second week it was nice seeing people masked.

  11. So sorry that your battery was stolen. We also were there for two weeks and left this morning. Good that you didn't pay their parking fee. For two weeks it was $280. You would think our cars would be safe. Could have been someone

who's battery didn't start so they helped themselves to yours. If we saw someone working on a car , we would just think they were having car trouble and not stealing.Don't think there is a market for a used battery . Wonder if the alarm on the car would go off if any security person would check it out.

  12. Ours was taken away a few weeks before our cruises for March 27 and April 3. We are on board the ship and was reassigned to mid ship balcony on caribe deck. Small balcony. We had D705.

Well I can tell you for sure they didn't use our previous cabins for Isolation, only the forward ones. Our friends also lost their balcony cabin and are on Caribe overlooking those Dolphin large balconies. Princess sold those cabins and people in on those, not sick people. We are really mad about it. We also went down there and you can see passenger names on the cabins. Not blocked off so definitely not isolation. Princess shame on you.

  13. People on board are mostly maskless and I do hear the coughing . My friends and I are always wearing our masks except when we eat or  drink. Even being cautious, one in our group tested positive last night. She had symptoms.

They made her change rooms to isolation this morning. No second week for them. They will be disembarked tomorrow. Fortunately they can be driven home tomorrow (Princess arranged).

I bet if the disembarking passengers were tested, there would be lots of positive cases. We will never know how many are walking germs.

  14. our phone not working. Doesn't recognize us as occupant in cabin so won't let us retrieve messages.

Also can't remove messages. Friends have wrong name on their cabin phone and ours have no one.

Pursers desk said shore side will have to fix the phone system.

Also billing screwed up. I am using my credit card with my husband as authorized. It won't allow me to see his charges because it has it as his credit card and me as user. I explained it is my card , not his. I have to go back with my card to prove  so they can change it. Little glitzes but again, nothing that would ruin our cruise.

  15. My Medallion Appl. working a little better now. Got some help from staff. I never log out of it. so was not logged off when I arrived at ship and still logged on today. She told me to log off and go back on,  which did. So some functions are now working but still can't get on Journeys (for the patter).

Funny thing happened this morning. We had flipped the security on our door knob inside(turned to the  left so no one could enter. Well, it jammed and we were trapped inside. Called our room stewardess and she was at our door in two minutes. She was giving us directions but could hardly hear her because those doors seem soundproof. She couldn''t get in either. she wound up going to neighbors balcony ,unlocking the door  to ours and entered our cabin. Then she also was now locked it. She used her weight (she was a larger person) against the door and slid the lock back to open position  . Then she advised us to not lock it again. Not a very safe place to be locked in if an emergency occurs. We had a good laugh about it and I am sure the door lock will get fixed.

The ship feels very crowded. Lots of people in the Piazza. Also the ordering drinks on appl. on Medallion doesn't seem to be working. Friends sitting in the coffee bar area ordered coffees. For 45 minutes said it was being prepared. Then all of a  sudden showed cancelled. Long lines to get coffee  if you order by the IC. We ordered ours direct from bar staff and took a few minutes but it was fine. No one is complaining (and neither are we). This ship is new. crew getting used to the ship and so are we.They are so happy to be working and we are happy to be here with them. have seen some familiar faces both crew and fellow passengers.

Can anyone on board use JouneyView in the app. It's been non functional for us since we boarded.

Back to paper for planning I suppose

No can't use it at all. Other functions not working. Tried to see our account (for charges) and also not working. Dine my way worked and then stopped. Tried to order FCD on the TV and that function also not working. Since we have been on recent Medallion ships, everything was perfect so this ship has some things to work out.Still glad we are aboard and enjoying a beautiful new ship.

  17. Having trouble posting.

Ship is beautiful. We arrived at the pier 93 terminal and it was pretty full at 10:15am. Shortly after boarding of buses began. Good we were Elite because we started boarding first. We were probably the third bus. We are on Starboard side of ship. Nice view of the boat Marina. Sailaway was gorgeous with warm weather.

My back was killing me all night on these new beds. I am going to pull the sheet and check what I am sleeping on. Feels like a pad under the sheet.Bed is hard. We have been on the Grand and Majestic recently and I slept like a baby. My Medallion is not working well on the ship. Only some functions work and some have the white screen. Worked better at home. Room Stewardess said there are issues. Internet is fine however but I had problem with Cruise Critic itself not showing I was logged in when I am. Hope this posts . I lost my previous post.

I don't think there is an Upsell department.  If you want to upgrade, just call.

Definitely is an upsell department. I emailed them in October before a cruise asking if I could do it. I also spoke directly to the really nice lady. I sent my email to upgradeoffer@princesscruises.com

I didn't have an offer , just emailed and asked if there was availability in the cabin category I wanted. Of course I had seen on website there were plenty so I even asked for specific ones.Did this a few days before my cruise. Don't think there was a direct phone number to just call. After emailing and person responded, we talked on her direct line. Sorry I don't have that number anymore. The email response was immediate. Upsell is not free, I paid.
