We’re booked on the July 2025 TA on Majestic! Iceland, yahoo! See you onboard! Princess does indeed have some very imaginative itineraries and the reason why we also cruise with them.

I don’t think anyone really knows and Princess isn’t saying. Onboard it does seem like lots of passengers have it, but I think it varies between ships and itineraries. May I ask why you ask this question?

I think this is why so many Celebrity people book Aqua class or suites to get their own private upscale restaurants. Standard MDR reservations on all cruiselines tend to have long line ups.

We’re booked on Ascent for December with Anytime Dining so we’ll see how that goes.

We just showed up at 8:30 and went right in with no wait. Could be because we eat late?

We cruised on Beyond last year and pre booked all MDRs on different nights for late seating and had no problems with our reservations at all.

The bathrooms! Every cruiseship should have these, right! Love the shower so much. Can’t wait til December!

There are your traditional balconies on Edge class ships, but they book quickly. We try for the ones on deck 6 aft. You still get a nice sofa and coffee table and the bathrooms, in every stateroom category, are exceptional and far superior to Princess, unless you book a suite. I’m not a fan of the Infinite balcony, either. However, it that’s all I could get, then I’d take it.

Yup, can’t imagine eating dinner at 5:00pm. Pre dinner cocktails start at 7:00pm!

Absolutely not true! We have Premier package and I was able to book two specialty dinners at no extra cost. Did not even ask for credit card. It clearly stated that we were using our Premier benefits. I booked a third dinner and I was asked to pay by credit card. When I check our dining reservations everything is exactly as it should be for the entire cruise. For some reason the app does not work for everyone. So weird!

May I ask which Celebrity ship you been on. Would love to get your take on the brand. We enjoy the older M class ships, as well as S class and #1 Edge class. S class ships would be most comparable to Princess ships.

My DH is the account holder on the Celebrity Boards, although I do chime in on occasion. He’s not much of poster, but loves to read every single thread. My DH never follows Princess! lol. I will definitely post something! We’re very much looking forward to it, but honestly, we don’t do Caribbean cruises anymore. Just wanting to experience the newest ship.

No flaming here. As long as you’re offered a decent, comfortable area away from the non smokers, I’m fine with it. On Celebrity the outdoor smoking areas are very nice with sofas and coffee tables and they are covered to protect guests from the elements. Everyone is happy!

You’ve made me curious! As a cigar smoker, do you find cigarette smoke to be offensive? I only ask because so many people don’t enjoy the smell of cigars. I guess it’s all about one’s own personal taste. My DIL, a non smoker, loves the smell of cigars!

Yes, you are so right! One of the reasons we choose Celebrity is because I enjoy an adult beverage or two whilst spinning those slots. However, I absolutely can’t stand cigarette smoke! On Princess, even on the no smoking nights, the smell lingers. I hate for my clothes and hair to smell like smoke. The rest of the time I have to stay away completely. Such a shame because we love the casinos!

Some people enjoy hearing about other’s experiences and opinions, not necessarily to make their choice based only on that information. I know I do. This is why we have an entire forum “Cruise Reviews” for exactly that purpose.
