I sold because 6 out of 6 travel company's during their earnings said travel booking are dropping. I sold where I did to avoid the wash sale rule, could have waited for it to peak today, but that is NOT why I sold. Travel is down and imo royal is not immune. I wouldn't have sold if I didnt think travel was dropping. Arguing that I shouldnt have worried where I sold is trying to muddy the waters, that is NOT why I would ever sell. The issue is every travel company reporting earnings says travel bookings are for shorter periods and for less. Go read or listen to some recent earnings calls. I had a chance to sell above what I paid and did it to protect profits. Monday at open rcl crashed to 130. Analysts been coming in saying best of breed and other nice things caused rcl to jump. 6 out of 6 travel earnings all reported slowing travel. This question you should be asking is rcl immune? Where is the stock going to settle idk. But the drop to 130 Monday and then it ran I protected profits... because of other travel companies earnings. I do feel guilty selling, and not holding, I love rcl. I will rebuy. Went all the way to over 155 earlier today ... sold too early, but now its 146 after hours. Here is the one day and 5 day charts. See the dip on Monday. I watch rcl and trade it. You dont, good for you. But I will and already can buy lower right now. Yes it could run tomorrow, been wrong before, but I pay for my cruises by being right more than wrong. Dont miss the forest for the trees.

I thought about what I posted and went and sold all my rcl shares right after I posted, take the money and run? And did. I never sell perfect, but was worried about the wash rule. Trip advisor, disney, 2 hotel stocks, I forget who else, every single one said travel is slowing. And rcl is immune? I booked Bermuda last Thursday and price dropped a lot yesterday. Within final payment nothing I can do. My dec eatern also the price dropped. I'd lose early booking obc and letting it go but I too am seeing the evidence, prices are dropping for 2024. Sales on planner stuff better than ever. I'm usually too early, the canary in the coal mine. Could have sold much better but i didnt. I'm out, waiting for a new support level. I hope I'm wrong, but i bet i can buy back my shares a little lower than the most expensive shares i was holding. Never hurts to lock in a profit and avoid the wash rule. The consumer spending is showing signs its cracking.

It's quite easy for me to buy and I'm very non tech. When you go to settings to connect to the ships wifi it asks do you want to connect to the free app or do you want to connect to a internet pkg or something like that. Click on the 2nd and it shows you the price for 24 hours, or for the rest of the cruise. Click on the one you want. Click buy. Voila should now be active. Yes you can ask someone too but it's pretty easy for me. If using your phone be sure and do airplane mode. I buy it on my tablet. But I connect both devices to their wifi internet. I have to see the app on my phone but use wifi on my tablet. So do it for both devices. My phone I click to connect to free app.

I get a credit for 2 onboard days worth which can often be some left over. I got the extra day for 19.99 but it would have been 27.99 per day if not for my discount coupon. Saw it once as high as 32.99. ..the day they cancelled a port and more wanted online. Seems sad to me to charge more if more want on that day but be prepared for dynamic pricing. But I do add a extra day often. I hate to be cut off.

I've seen the pictures of hideaway. It's so crowded. It's not my vibe and coconut shrimp I cant eat coconut. Fancy pizza no thanks. I love the menu at the beach club. Or the free stuff. Not hideaway. They are shoving too many people in there.

Brevard here has a nice zoo and you can kayak thru it. I'd probably not do a zoo there, but maybe a light house. I'm trying to make a list of where to see birds the best here for when my cousin can come visit. She is so fun, makes me laugh. Cant wait.

You might read the small print as I think izumi has a upcharge. To me not good with a dining pkg. Just me. I know for UDP has a upcharge, not sure about 3 night. We dont know what ship you booked so it's hard to make recommendations but with kids I'd book wonderland first. With the menus you paint with water, my waiter sang to me, and all, wou,d be fun with kids. I'm on harmony.

The beach club is down to $125. Tempting for lobster. If I ate more than nibbling I'd be more tempted by this. Lowest I've seen it.

In cartegena, I'm signed up to see this 18th century lighthouse. Doesnt look like american light houses but I picked that excursion to see this one. Tried to find a good picture of it. But i would also tey and see light houses. Agree with ocean boy. Neat.

Happy national lighthouse day. The lighthouse here is free today, but you had to sign up 7 days in advance. Ocean boy if you go out of our port maybe something worth doing? Free today.

Only free if you booked a spa cabin on a dream class ship. Might have added one on some other ships I forget but dream class has them. You can buy a pass if you didnt book a spa cabin.

I knew this group knows about lighthouses so asked. First time I've seen any excursions for that port was last night. Royal has been taking it's good ole time... and I was right, someone knew about the lighthouse there. I do wish royal posted reviews about excursions but someone here knew. The excursion doesnt mention how far they walk like some others I've seen, not even a good picture. I'm a no, no worries, got what I needed. Whatever the weather is it is, just was surprised so hot. Panama transit so just passing thru.

We dont have it yet. Before we only had grand Cayman so seeing a few matalan is a improvement. I also want to book something for Guatemala but nothing yet. I'm glad to see a few choices coming in. For some reason I thought going from San Diego was cool. Never went out of calif on a cruise except once to hawaii and dont remember the weather. My knees are fine actually but a 3 mile hike is not. I had signed up for some trolley and cancelled but now maybe I'm liking the trolley more. See cliff divers and shrimp. I love shrimp.

I keep seeing pictures of light houses and actually have some booked to see in europe. But not to climb. I've never been to Mazatlan either, so many new places to see. Has anyone climbed to the top of the light house there. Worth doing? How hard is it to climb. Says I have to sign a waiver. It just came up for my Panama transit oct 2025.

You can always do the buffet, though imo some of the new appetizers were quite good I had last january. Royal allows all the entrees you want except for 1 lobster, changed to 1 maine lobster. Lots of people ordering extra lobster for their newly met tablemates lol. They tried to say one plate at a time and there was a uproar. Seriously I thought one guy was going to physically attack the waiter because he wanted his lobster and steak on the same plate. Lol 5 minutes later another guy at my table wanted spaghetti with his lobster. The one plate at a time caused such a uproar royal seems to have stopped that. People were so mad. Yelling at the waiter mad. I did see one pushy cop get 5 free lobsters. If you are loud enough and a bully it works. Got the floor mgr even involved. I think too many wanted to set a record and see if they could eat 22 lobsters too. I've resorted to booking specialty restaurants to get more lobster.
