  1. Good morning! Gave a self present this morning and slept in. A wonderful gift. Last night we watched Maestro a bi op of Leonard Bernstein. Bradley Cooper is a great actor. We now have the couple across the street for dinner tonight. Our neighbor lost her older brother yesterday morning. They will leave for Oklahoma Tuesday and we’ll be cat sitting until their return next weekend. Have some last minute errands. May all of you find some joy on this special week of celebration. Prayers for those in need and World Peace. Happy Birthday Sara. Bruce
  2. @kochleffel Paul. Just saw it was your birthday. So without further ado. Happy Birthday!🎂
  3. Good morning. Definitely TIS The Season. Stores are bustling with shoppers and it has been cool enough to enjoy the fireplace on occasions. Yesterday we paid the IRS, got our renewed car registrations in the mail and I got most of my clothes picked out and awaiting packing. We both said to each other last night that our “ To Do” list are getting real short. We were scheduled to visit Santa Barbara on a cruise but they closed the port during Covid times. Maybe lunch out. Christmas Eve will just be us enjoying our traditional French Meat pie and Christmas Day Susan’s identical twin arrives and the main entree will be a Honey Glazed Ham. Thanks to all who contribute. Stay safe and be joyful. Bruce
  4. Alan Ritchon the actor aka Reacher in the hit Amazon show grew up in our small town. His mother still lives here and I’m pretty sure he was behind me at checkout in the grocery store today. No one bothered him. With those biceps I wouldn’t want to bother him!
  5. Good morning. I’ll skip cookies this year. With so many days on a cruise ship coming up I don’t need to be adding more weight. Day is starting off in forties with gray skies. Definitely looks like it just might be a very rainy Christmas Day. Today I’m selecting clothes for packing. Folks will just have to get used to seeing us in familiar clothing. There is one lady on our Roll Call who cruises most of the year in large owner suites who states she will only wear the same dress twice a month. Think her last name may be Vanderbilt? Pedicures and manicures were completed yesterday then we went out to lunch which sufficed in being the only meal of the day. Graham sorry to hear about Pauline’s friend’s husband. As we notice here on the Daily many of us are in the zone. We just don’t know when or wear our position in the line is. I do know the line is getting shorter. We are very Blessed that we are still mobile and can enjoy the fruits of our labor. Redneck Bob what can I say. Today’s post was pretty bad and frankly I think you wet your pants on that one.😊 For many this may be a sad or depressing time of the year. Know that your Daily family is here to listen and support. For those traveling I wish safe and timely arrivals. For those with aches and pains I pray for relief. There is a line in the movie Christmas vacation that we traditionally watch every year. Clark looks at his Dad and states “Dad how did you get through Christmas?” His Dad replied “Son I had a lot of help from Jack Daniels!” Have a great day and thanks for all the post. Bruce
  6. Beautiful place setting. What time is dinner and what are you having?
  7. Enjoy your cruise Rich. Great itinerary. We may cross wakes as the Onward and Volendam are in the general vicinity especially around Australia. Bon Voyage! Volendam was our first BHB cruise in 2007.
  8. Morning to all. Another cold morning here. We had a dear friend over for dinner last night. Sue made a delicious crab bisque and salad that really hit the spot along with wine. Pedicures got changed until today as the place we go to had employee issues. I believe we now have all the meds we need for the cruise. Yesterday we picked up meds in case we get Covid. Our doctor has been very accommodating on prescribing meds for being prepared for all scenarios. He knows of our medical backgrounds and that we would only self treat if absolutely needed. Lest then two weeks to go so I need to seriously start the final packing process. Have a great day and thanks for the reports and post. Bruce
  9. They looked pretty cold with temp. 68 F and wind. Thanks for the post.
  10. We have done six repositioning cruises from Canada to Florida and one of them was from Florida to Montreal. Needless to say we enjoy these cruises itineraries. Early May many places not open yet for the season. We have had beautiful weather, cold, snow, effects from a hurricane. Hard to predict peak foliage but around 10 October has been our experience. This year was our latest cruise from Montreal on Seabourn. Last week of October and it was pretty cold and a little bit of fall colors. Remember only the small ships cruise out of Montreal. The others Quebec City. Great cruise. Enjoy.
  11. Good morning. A cool 35 here in Florida this morning which leads to sleeping in. Dental cleaning went well and the car windshield replacement was approved and will be replaced Dec 27. These new windshields are a little more complicated than ago. With cars that have lane change notices or corrections it requires the windshield to be calibrated. Today a haircut this morning and we are both going for pedicures this afternoon. One of life’s great pleasures. It will be no snag happy feet tonight!😊 @kazu Thanks for again stepping up and keeping us CC’ers up to date and rolling. You have been a great contributor to CC and most importantly a friend to many of us though we have never met in person. Maybe some day. Have a great hump day folks and rest of the week. Bruce
  12. Have safe travel and a wonderful cruise experience Rich. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.🥃🍾🛳
  13. @Haljo1935 Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Continue having a great Holiday Season BHB cruise. B.
