  1. I didn't like it. There were 6 of us at the table and only one of us enjoyed our meals. Usually we are easily pleased. I will say that I have simple tastes in food, usually, LOL. We went to the Crown Grill and we LOVED it.
  2. The only time I have left any cruise ship dining room hungry was when we ate at Sabatini's. I really disliked it. I ended up going to the Trident Grill and getting a hot dog a little while later.
  3. I have no problems if Princess started charging for a 3rd entree. It might stop someone from ordering 3 entrees and eating 1/3 or less of each one, just because it's "free" So many people are wasteful. If you are still hungry after leaving the MDR, you can go to the buffet or go to the International Cafe. Stopping people from ordering 3 entrees will help keep costs down for everyone.
  4. I have a Cruise Packing List saved on my computer that I started about 13 years ago. When I got home from the cruise, I removed items that we didn't use and didn't need. I also added items that I had wished that we had with us. I think it is about perfect for us now. I pack the day before and I feel confident that we haven't forgotten something. I also use it to pack up when we leave the ship, to make sure that I have everything.
  5. We pack differently, depending on what airline we are flying. We are flying Southwest on our upcoming cruise, so we will both check a big bag and have a carryon with items that we need. We both bring our snorkel equipment, so that takes up quite a bit of room in the suitcase. If we are flying where we pay for checked luggage, we will check one bag and each have a carryon. We buy things for our grandchildren, so we need extra room in the suitcase for their gifts.
  6. LOL I watched the show as a kid in the 70s and loved it. I still like to watch it, because it takes me back to when things were simpler. When we go on a cruise, I usually watch 1 episode a day, LOL. Sometimes my husband will watch with me, but usually not. I'm glad that they are the Love Boat (original, not reboot). Besides, what does it hurt? I don't think it turns away younger people. The reboot? I didn't watch it, but it appears to have been a BAD idea, LOL I've never watched any of those bachelor type dating shows, though.
  7. We usually pick our room, but we have done a guarantee about 25% of the time. No complaints. We have a standard balcony guarantee for our Nov 19th sailing, which no assignment yet. I keep checking to see if it is assigned yet and I think it kind of adds to the fun/excitement. The 2 other couples we are traveling with have their assignments, so I keep saying that we are still in the running for the penthouse or owners suite! LOL
  8. This will be our 3rd Thanksgiving cruise and I don't really remember any special menu for Thanksgiving. But, the new one posted is making me hungry!
  9. It's super easy on the website. I just posted right above
  10. I just see several others answered, already! enjoy your cruise!
  11. Actually, it's much easier than that! Sign in, go to your booking and at the top of the page it says
  12. Yay!! We are still waiting for our guarantee balcony assignment for the same cruise. Both of our traveling companion couples have received theirs already. One a few weeks ago and one on Saturday. Ours, still waiting! LOL Glad you got your upgrade!
  13. We're on the same as Itchy & Scratchy and we can't wait, either!
  14. I can see why the Medical Center doesn't just offer Plaxlovid to everyone who tests positive. I can see if it is requested by people who have done their own research and think it is needed, or if the individuals take a turn for the worse. I'm sure if the OP had called with worsening symptoms, it probably would have been suggested. But, most people have symptoms like a bad cold/flu, where it really isn't necessary. My BIL & SIL contracted COVID on an Alaskan cruise in May and they had no complaints about their care.
  15. I enjoyed being able to find my husband, LOL He notoriously would stop to look at something when we were walking around. The rest of us would decide to go do something and we would have no idea where he was. The last few cruises with the medallions, we were able to find him, LOL
  16. You absolutely can just bring your documents with you and check in with the old manner. They will also give you a cruise card, if you prefer that over the medallion.
  17. We saw it on our first few cruises, but haven't really experienced it on the last few, even before the pandemic.
  18. Why did the original poster call 911 instead of just calling the medical center? Isn't 911 for emergency calls? I would hate to think someone was having a heart attack or some other horrible thing, and the people were tied up with someone reporting that they tested positive with Covid.
  19. Good grief. This thread isn't about Covid, why bring it up?
  20. I'm in agreement with kywildcatfanone. Getting up and going to the grill to grab a hot dog/hamburger and a drink and then returning is perfectly fine. That is NOT entitlement
  21. Yes. By the time you walk (or ride the elevator if they are busy) down the stairs, go down the hallway, get to your cabin, go to the bathroom, wash your hands and reverse that, it CAN take that long.....speaking from a person who had colon surgery a few years ago who is eating things not quite her normal stuff. Yes. But, my point is 20 minutes isn't long enough, but I think 30 is.
