Although the Britannia will be open, I recommend giving the Golden Lion a try one day.

Congratulations on booking a Cunard cruise. I can recommend at least one lunch in the Golden Lion, it's included in the price and if you don't want a drink with lunch, the staff will be happy to get you a glass of water. Afternoon tea is a must and recommend arriving about half an hour before the advertised start time to avoid long queues. You should get a gala night on the sea day.

I have been busy looking at cars (online). I have decided I want a Ford Puma. The only question now is new or nearly new. I want some extras and so far I haven't found the perfect used so I might have to compromise or get a new one so I can get exactly what I want. Decisions 🙄

The Mayflower Terminal is well inside the docks so there are no facilities close by. As my boarding time was 2.15, I got a sandwich and drink from Greggs and parked on Mayflower park to eat it.

I have just posted my review of my short QV trip. The excursions are not up for my October trip so I can start to plan which if any I am going to do. It's a bank holiday here today and for the first time since 2021 I am not working. One of the advantages of my new job.
