  1. Yes! And the bathroom has the old medicine cabinet. A relic for sure.
  2. Terri, I forgot to comment about this. I have to be tested at Day 3 and Day 5 but I am allowed to go anywhere and ashore. I have to say that I am one of the few wearing a mask. I wear one all the time except when sitting eating and drinking. Like now in the Ocean Bar. Craig has sent me pictures of his cabin and it appears that it hasn’t been updated at all. Makes him feel like he’s in the Twilight Zone. I ordered flowers and they came about an hour ago.
  3. Good news is that he is getting real dinnerware and no problem with the drinks. I spoke with the bartender in the Ocean Bar to make sure. His late lunch today. Negroni, wine and sandwich. Terri, it was so late by the time everything was done that I decided not to go into the old town area. The city arranged shuttle buses for $16 pp (IIRC) to go to the old town area. I have been trying to reply for a few hours but the internet was choppy. We just departed Marseille and I was finally able to post.
  4. Thank you everyone for your well wishes for Craig. They just arrived to sanitize my cabin. Craig was moved about 45 minutes ago to his quarantine cabin. We talked on the phone after he figured out what his cabin number was. He hasn’t had lunch yet since this all took so long. It’s a hurry up and wait situation unfortunately. Thank goodness I’m in a Neptune Suite and have access to the Neptune Lounge. It has been very helpful having them so close. I’m not going ashore today, bummer. I think some kind of special alert goes out when this happens because the Lounge knew when I went to tell them. Debbie @dfish — so glad you are doing good. Maxine @AncientWanderer — congratulations on your new DGS! Jacqui @kazu — hope all is well. I have no words except to say that I miss you. Graham @grapau27 — congrats on the good blood work. I am sure I missed someone/something because I’ve missed reading the Daily for many days. Just know that I care. Have a great day everyone!
  5. Forgot to mention that the Pinnacle Grill won’t have lunch on sea days during our sailing and no Rudi’s pop up either. I’m not sure if the MDR will have sea day lunch or not. We also don’t see anything about BB Kings. Those were disappointments.
  6. Good morning from the Oosterdam! It’s 10:30 am and a beautiful day. We are in Marseille today. Unfortunately, Craig started feeling ill and we did a self test a bit earlier and his was positive and mine was negative. He called the health center and we are waiting for the nurse to come to retest. We’ve decided I will stay in our cabin and he will quarantine. They told him at least 6 days, today being day 0. He’s not a happy camper. 😞 We’ve got him all packed and ready. I might change some of my tours since I’ll be by myself. Debbie @dfish— so good to hear your surgery went well. Feel better soon! Sandi @StLouisCruisers — I am so sorry to hear about Buddy. Prayers for him. Have a great day. I’ll check back when today’s Daily starts. Sharon
  7. Thank you everyone! We are in Barcelona anticipating our embarkation tomorrow. Oosterdam here we come!
  8. We are in Barcelona right now. Temperature is wonderful!!! No heat wave. High was probably 75.
  9. I was able to download 5 episodes. I’m not sure about any after that. This is on Netflix.
  10. Hello from Barcelona! We are at the Market on Las Ramblas. Today’s lunch.
  11. Good morning everyone and Happy Tuesday from Barcelona! It’s 10:45 am here and I just wanted to check in and say hi. Everything has gone fairly well with a few minor glitches. I will say that I hope to never go through London Heathrow transferring flights. Have a great day and I’ll try to post later. Sharon
  12. Thank you everyone for your Bon Voyage wishes! ⛴⛴⛴ @marshhawk — I love Somebody Feed Phil and have it downloaded to watch while on our cruise. I love him, he is just so genuine and fun. No wonder Everybody Loves Raymond was a hit.
  13. Good morning everyone and Happy Saturday! I’ve had a busy week getting ready for our trip, lots of last minute things to do with more to do today so we can fly tomorrow to Barcelona. It was so much easier the last time we went on a Med cruise. We are 90% packed but I need to rearrange our carryons. I felt like I was packing for three trips— the Barcelona part, the cruise part, and our 6 days in Venice. Oosterdam here we come! Have a great day everyone!
  14. Good evening! Well, today (and yesterday) was filled with two 14 year old girls. One is our DGD and the other is DS's SO's daughter. They are the same age. Have you EVER been around two 14 year old girls??? I can handle one, but two? Um, no....... So, we had them get in the pool even though it was only 73 degrees. They had so much fun but were so loud, our neighbors must hate us. And then today, we did it again. Although I did make them wait until 11:30, but they didn't mind the cold. And I felt all I did was cook. But they had fun and I had fun. And I think even PaPa might have had fun. We are really consumed with our Med cruise. Have a great week everyone!
  15. I’ve only seen them as a topper in the Pinnacle Grill and Tamarind. Since there isn’t a Tamarind on the Oosterdam we won’t have that choice. I just checked the menu for Pinnacle Grill and don’t see them there either. Sorry.
  16. Pinnacle Grill King Crab, December 2021, Rotterdam:
  17. It was King crab on the Rotterdam in December, like @Seasick Sailor said. I believe it was $20. I liked it because it was split and easy to eat, yummy too. I think I might have a picture... I'll look.
  18. There might be some repeats, especially with the apps and desserts, but there should be some new items. Mostly it's the same protein with a different combination of ingredients. There are also the always on the menu items, like the Caesar salad and French onion soup and cheesecake (of various flavors), ice cream.... etc.
  19. Sandi, my DM's lung cancer was found on a routine abdominal CT for something else. Several xrays and a CT later and a lung bx and 4 months, she was having radiation. Dr says they found it quite early and she is cancer free. Prayers for Melinda that the same happens for her.
  20. Good morning everyone and Happy Friday! Debbie @dfish, I was able to translate that recipe on my iPhone. If you refresh the screen there is a translate “button” (of sorts) that you can touch. However, it’s not a perfect translation. It does sound good. It also has linguica sausage with the bacon. Bon Voyage to Roy @rafinmd!! ⛴⛴⛴. Safe travels to the port today. Have a great day everyone!
  21. No plastic water bottles, however you can preorder either canned water or glass bottled water prior to your cruise. It's under the beverages tab on your booking on the website. I personally prefer the glass bottles. Some have said that the canned water tastes "canned". 😉 I think either side of the ship is good in the Caribbean, my personal preference is port side, especially for San Juan. I don't think it matters so much for Grand Turk, and like CruiserBruce said if you don't see it sailing in you will sailing out.
  22. Yes, there is a Club Orange check in desk. We didn't use it on the NA but I saw it when we walked to our table.
  23. TV doesn't swivel at all, not sure about the ports in the back but I've heard others mention it's complicated at best. I wouldn't bother. About the TV though, I found if I moved the chair from the little desk area right near the bed I could sit comfortably with my feet up on the bed and watch TV. You will love the Vista Suite, it has a lot of storage and room. Only downside is how small the bathroom is.
