  1. We just came across this information and are curious if this will affect the Regal and Sky November TAs through Funchal.   3. There are often advantages to booking two cruises as you have described. In addition, you can check prices on the separate cruises after booking and may obtain more savings. Princess accommodates people doing B2B and it is usually smooth. In US ports Immigration often makes you disembark but the system is quite smooth. You do nothing for your cabin. I've even changed cabins during a B2B and Security and cabin stewards make it easy. (Took an Inside cabin for a Vancouver - Los Angles segment then a Balcony to Tahiti).
  4. I beg to differ. " There are 2 types of transiting: ‘airside’ - you do not pass through UK border control before you leave on your connecting journey ‘landside’ - you do pass through UK border control, but come back through it and leave the UK within a short amount of time (usually 24 hours)
  5. I've experienced similar problems. Two days ago I was forced to get a re-booking after asking for new pricing. WHY? Despite everything working under the old booking # everything got jumbled with the new number starting with me being assigned a new birthday. Try correcting that on the app. Using the app on two different devices showed different items completed. Mostly correct now put despite getting a saved message the system will not retain my PIN so I get an incomplete check-in. Have had many occasions of white pages. Can't count the number of wasted hours on the phone for both parties. Totally unimpressed.

  9. I have latest version of app installed yesterday. Can only sign in with my Booking #. When I do this my wife's data does not show up. If I log out and then in with her creds. when I select "documents" I get a "compass currently unavailable" notice. Any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions.
  10. FYI. Our cruise was aboard the Sky Princess for 21 Mar. The cruise was cancelled about the 14th March. The FCCs were received after about two months but the refund of the taxes & port fees arrived today after about 17 weeks. I had given up on these since we had booked another cruise and Princess applied our FCCs without our asking and the credits appeared to include the amount for taxes and port fees. Couldn't understand their accounting but since the total was less than I expected I didn't inquire. Be patient!
  11. Our experience regarding the return of Future Cruise Deposits (FCD). We had two cruises booked using FCDs, one for July 25 and the other late Oct 20. These were cancelled by Princess May 6th. We understood from their public messages that the FCDs would be returned to our CC accounts. In late May the FCD's had still not been returned when we booked another cruise with our TA (a big box agent). The TA was told by Princess that they would hold the booking without deposit for an extended period while awaiting the return of the FCDs. Between then and now I contacted Princess several times to check on progress. I received mixed messages including being told that one of the FCDs was being refunded as two times cash as I had requested. I stated that I had made no such request. Within the last 10 days I booked another cruise for Oct 21. Again the agent was told that the booking would be placed on extended hold while awaiting return of the FCDs. I spoke again with Princess and got the same "please wait" response. Yesterday I call the TA (big box store) and asked them to speak to Princess to see if they could move the FCDs to the new bookings. The TA was on the phone for over two hours with Princess and was referred to several different "departments" each with a significant hold. In the end she was told that someone had taken action (an email to another department) and the FCDs would be returned to our CC accounts within 48 hours By PFM the FCDs appeared in our accounts this morning. Today I again called the TA and had them call Princess to charge the now released FCDs against our new booking. This was done. In addition, without my request, FCCs from a fully paid for cancelled March 21 cruise (2 1/2 X) were applied to the first new cruise resulting in a fully paid for cruise. By my calculations we are still owed $260 cash refund (taxes & port fees) for the above March cruise. This was a long and trying process which involved many hours waiting on the phone.

  20. Thank you for the explanation. Wish Princess had explained this to us.. On another note we had cancelled another cruise that had been booked with a FCD and it was refunded as a FCC even though Princess had stated in a previous update FCD's would be returned in that format and extended if expired. Oh well ! Happy they are trying do the best they can. Must be a nightmare sorting through all the claims. Stay well everyone. Better days ahead. Louden
  21. We booked a 2021 cruise through our TA today and tried to use our FCC ( From a cancelled cruise ) since we did not have a FCD to apply. Princess would not allow this. We had to pay for the deposit and the FCC was then applied to the remaining fare. Frustrated that we were not able to use existing monies available in the FCC for the deposit. Has anyone else encountered this? Louden
