  1. @island lady You are very smart to pack the foam topper!! We are just of the Harmony and only 1 week and the bed was so hard and uncomfortable. We asked about a topper and our room steward said they were not available but would use a comforter or two under the sheets as a topper. It was a nice gesture but did not make too much of a difference. Can I ask what topper you are packing and most importantly how are you compressing and packing it, lol? Have a fantastic journey and I'm with you wanting all the things necessary to make our journey fun and comfortable!!
  2. What are some of the blogs if that can be posted here? I would love to follow along.
  3. @LisaLisa87 Thank you again so much for the tour recommendation!!! We had a fantastic tour and our guide for the day was Bill. He tailored our tour to our needs and it was so good, we highly recommend him and St. Thomas Scuba & Snorkel private jeep tour. Well worth the money!
  4. We booked a tour recommended on here for our recent day in St. Thomas. https://www.stthomasadventures.com/stthomasjeeptours It was a private Jeep tour and our guide for the day was Bill he was fantastic as was our tour! We met him outside of the port area. We first went to a snorkeling spot and got to see quite a few turtles and other things, he got some great pictures for us too. It was my Husband, my Mom and myself so he was able to tailor the tour to our needs. He took us all around the island stopping at several placed for great views and pictures. We had a lunch stop at The Shack, delicious lunch and drinks. He also surprised my mom with a slice of cake and candle as we were celebrating her birthday a little early. We wanted a little souvenir shopping so he stoped at a great scenic lookout area that had a few local vendors with great prices. We wanted to take a look at a local grocery store for fun so he stopped at I think the one he said he shops at and then we walked across the street to a nice shop at a marina. At the shop we paid a few dollars for bait to feed the tarpon fish out back. They do have a set tour where you have several snorkeling spots but my mom can't snorkel so we just wanted the one stop. While he took us snorkeling he set my mom up on the beach with a chair in the shade and water and beer. It was a fantastic day and I highly recommend them!! Bill emailed me a day or so ahead of time to finalize our plans then we communicated via text.
  5. Our Son his BF, my Mom & her friend are already onboard and in their cabins! They just sent us a few pics.
  6. Mom and her fried are booked on my mom's casino rate, mom may not be able to go but friend can and there are also two other people going in another cabin that they booked themselves. So for my mom's cabin if she can't go but her friend can what's the best way to do it? Should mom call and cancel or be a now show? If she cancels will they charge her friend the regular room rate not the discounted "free" taxes & port charges rate? Thanks for any help!
  7. @Eastern flygirl Thank you for the information & glad you had a great time except for the weather. I followed along with @TravelBluebird as she was doing a live review on that sailing. For the special events, etc. is your guest also included? Hubby and I both had the offer so we booked him in a room then my mom with me in another room and hoping she will be included in everything. Were the hot seat drawings for everyone playing in the casino or just for the Signature Event players? What is the scavenger hunt? We are planning to try the Mason Jar for the first time if you went there what were your favorite things?
  8. Thank y'all for the information! If we were in Miami Joe's Stone Crab has a good cold seafood tower. We got this one at Lakeside at the Wynn Las Vegas
  9. We're going on the Wonder 10/15, our flight to Orlando gets in after 5pm and we are staying two nights at TownePlace Suites Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach. Looking in to getting a rental car at the airport so will have that to get around or can uber/taxi also. Is there anywhere in the area to get a cold seafood tower (lobster, crab, oysters, etc.)?
  10. Thank you! Also really enjoying you bringing us all along on your cruise this week.
  11. @chill6x6 What beach and restaurants do you like in Marigot? How do you get there, are there taxis available at the RCCL port? Do you know the cost of taxis there? Appreciate any information!
  12. Thank you again @LisaLisa87 for all the information!! We decided to look into the jeep excursion so I'm fixing to email them. Was it a private tour with a driver?
  13. Thank you @LisaLisa87 that sounds like a great day however there are only 3 of us so it would be $400 for the tour and not sure we want to spend that much. I see there are open air taxis or some kind of transportation at the port do you know if they go anywhere or just specific spots? Maybe we could just take one of those to the villa botanica, a lookout spot or two for pictures then shopping? Is there a good shopping area outside of the port? When we ported in Cartagena, Columbia we went to the old town on a tour and it was so beautiful to see all the old buildings and lots of good shopping there, do you know what area in St. Thomas might be like that? I really appreciate any help!
  14. @LisaLisa87 Do you have any other suggestions for a do it on your own day? Not sure if we want to swim that day or not. It will be our first time to St. Thomas. Hubby, my mom and myself. Thanks for any suggestions. Things were interested in, island tour, love seeing all of the plants & flowers, a little shopping, maybe some food and drinks.
  15. Following along and really enjoying your review and pictures! We're on the Wonder 10/15 for the first time and this is getting me extra excited to be onboard. Can you post the show schedule for your sailing please. Looking forward to see your St. Thomas and St. Maarten days.
  16. Were booked on the Wonder 10/15 sailing, first time on the Wonder, we booked it thru the casino and wondering if anyone has been on the other sailings for the Signature Event at Sea. Hubby and I each got offers so my mom is going with us and her and I are booked in a cabin the hubby in a cabin. I'll switch to his cabin once onboard. The 3 of us have been watching out for a good offer for the Wonder and jumped on this as soon as we got it. We fly into Orlando the evening before and are staying at the Towne Place Suites Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach. Hoping someone that was on the 9/1 sailing or on the current 10/1 using this offer can give some details or a mini review.
  17. We leave Sunday 9/17 for our first B2B on the Allure and trying to decided what to do on Sunday 9/24. We tried a short B2B in Jan on the Adventure 4nt/5nt and on turnaround day did not go out and explore we just walked around the ship and relaxed. This time our B2B is 7nt/7nt so thinking of getting off in Galveston on turnaround day to maybe eat breakfast or lunch and walk around a bit. We are parking in the North Lot right there at the new RCCL Terminal so will have our vehicle but not sure we want to hassle with parking it again. Has anyone walked from the ship to nearby places to eat or shop or do you take your vehicle then park it agin or use Uber? What are your favorite places to eat, shop or explore if getting off during your B2B? Also if getting off is there a "fast lane" when getting back on since we will already have our transit cards? Thanks for any input!
  18. I found the key to being able to chew that beef is to ask for It to be sliced really thin, makes all the difference in me being able to eat it or it going to waste.
  19. Just wondering if any of you ended up using them recently or anyone else?
  20. We're flying into Orlando for our Wonder of the Seas cruise in October that goes out of Port Canaveral. We will fly in the day before the cruise and back home the day we get off the ship. What does everyone prefer to do as far as staying the night in Orlando, Port Canaveral or elsewhere, transfers from Orlando to wherever we decide to stay and then transfers back to the airport after getting off the ship? Also good places to eat dinner of course. Thanks for any suggestions!
