  1. Most stops are in CA., last stop in Mex to meet the Jones Act thingy.
  2. Los Angeles to Los Angeles. He's from another country, but now a US Citizen. I'll see if he has his Naturalization papers. Was just curious if anyone has had any issues with the PP being less that 6 months from expiring.
  3. I'm sending my mom and Step Dad on a cruise in Oct., Pacific Coastal. His passport expires in March, will that be a problem? I'm aware of the SIX month 'rule', but he'll be at the 5 month point before it expires.
  4. I walked in to Wells Fargo and asked for $100 in $2's. They did say to request ahead next time. But they had a boat load of them that day. In Mexico, they love them as tips! I just got my son a bunch on his cruise last month for tipping, they were a hit! Not sure why.
  5. Our favorite bartender from our May cruise, out of Italy, didn't have a preference.
  6. Are you sure you're not on a CARNIVAL cruise?! 😉
  7. You must be having a bad day! Sorry for being SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!! I'll say it again, I WAS SHOCKED!!!!! Actually, I'm not SORRY for being shocked, I have no reason to apologize. Stating my PERSONAL experience. So be it!
  8. @little britain and kezzie: To my defense, the last time we were in Europe, everyone, outside of the UK, were happy to accept USD! Not this time. That explains my shock. Sorry for shocking you!
  9. On the ship, either will work. While on land, Euros are preferred. We just got back from a 10 day Med cruise, I was SHOCKED that no one wanted USD! A few shops in Greece took our dollars, but in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, and Italy, ALL wanted Euros! We were there in May of THIS year, so trust me on this! EDIT: We took a boatload, no pun intended, of smaller USD bills and $2 bills, we came back with a bunch! 😉
  10. Upcoming Oct NoS cruise we got one DBP and one coffee card. 80 a day for DBP. We're not getting off the ship, so it will be worth it!
  11. We've done about 8 RCL cruises and 2 X (and about 10 CCL, 1 NCL, 2 Princess) We've enjoyed mostly all of the RCL cruises. The first X cruise 5 years ago was awesome, on the Equinox. We just got back in May from a 10 day Italy/Med cruise on Reflection, it was pretty BAD! Food was not good at all, service was TERRIBLE! After 2 attempts in MDR, we gave up and stuck with the buffet! Pool 'action' was ok, sorta quiet if you like quiet and older music. If it wasn't for the bar service at the pool bar and the world class bar, this trip would've been a bust! Shows/nightlife was ok. Service by pool was great, same with outdoor burger place. The workers in the buffet were the bomb! So, would we do X again? IDK, for now not really looking. We have a cruise booked in Oct on Navigator of the Seas, looking forward to it. Also, we did the Carnival Panorama last Oct., and it was awesome! The food, believe it or not, was better than on the Reflection! The service too! Royal is next, it's been about 2 years, last one was on Symphony of the Seas, I'll keep you posted! FYI: We're in our 50's. Saw people of all ages, I was surprised at how many younger ones were on our Med cruise! We were told it was going to be all old people, it wasn't. And hardly no kids! This applied to our first X cruise also. If you like nightlife, activities, shows, music, I'd stick to RCL or even NCL!
  12. Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and luxury brand Seabourn have all announced the removal of vaccination requirements
  13. We went on a 10 day X cruise to Italy and the Med. Stayed in Rome for 3 days prior, went ALL OVER Rome. None of us 4 caught Covid prior to boarding. Just be safe, wear mask, wash hands, etc. You'll be fine! FYI: All tested negative when coming back home too!
  14. Organize rum runners on cabinet by color of liquor, plug in USB chargers, put my magnets on the walls to hang stuff, pull out my Bose speaker and find a good central spot for it.
  15. I called the other day and got on within 3 minutes.
  16. A 'friend' just got one deluxe package and the COFFEE card!
  17. It'll work, no worries. Done this a few times.
  18. My drink smuggler container of choice! I've been using them for over 15 years. Never had an issue.
  19. Nice! I'd like to take 2 bottles of Mead on next trip, I'll put them in wine bottles. For the flamers, yes, I do have the drink package, however no ship sells Mead!
