  3. I received an email this morning from the shareholder benefits team asking me to submit a request for the replacement cruise for my cancelled Iona November cruise. I submitted that request for a Ventura November cruise yesterday. They appear to be reacting to requests but with no auto response email so as my pending Arcadia request is for August I will see what happens in the next few days.
  4. I am thinking of converting the bulk of my old NS&I isa into Premium bonds. The problem is getting through to NS&I as I can't recall my log on details 😟
  5. I agree now that the special lunch for Peninsular club members is turning into a bun fight at times. Post covid P&O now realise that minimising contact between essential staff and passengers is a good idea.
  6. Who holds the shares for those who are getting no auto reply? mine are with Equinity and I understand that you can no longer buy the shares through P&O/Equiniti.
  7. P&O are still offering balconies for solo occupation at low prices on Arcadia's 21 night cruise this August. It was £1999 for an early saver balcony EF category but the final price was £1799, £86.67 per day. I could have had a select fare for £3998 and a couple would pay £6078 for a select fare. Maybe it is the length of the cruise that is the problem?
  8. From Southampton no hand luggage restriction except you have to carry it yourself and i suppose it has to be smaller than the normal suitcase. Fly cruises are different smart jeans are OK, not washed out or tatty or with holes in and i presume not with builders bum or the crotch at knee level 🙂 I have a smart black pair and no problem with them.
  9. I have just cancelled a cruise and asked for any advice on this issue. He suggested I email the shareholderbenefits@carnivalukgroup.com address with the problem. I am going to re submit my 2 requests first.

  12. This is not an AI, it is a voice recognition program. If you use the wrong form of words you get rejected, and I don't know what anyone with a speech impairment will do. edit - been in the queue for 45 minutes, I have better things to do, when is a quiet time? i will have to go through the VA again though 😠
  13. The assistant is on the 0344 338 8003 number as well. This time it passed me on to the normal queue, still waiting after 20 minutes.

  16. I just phoned the P&OP customer support on 0345 355 5111 to cancel a cruise and a 'virtual assistant' answered. All 'she' wanted to know was was I an agent-no, did i book direct with P&O-yes, was it a select fare-yes, what was the departure date- gave it. the was asked what was this experience like-3 then the line was cut off. What the heck is going on.
  17. P&O also have 18 solo cabins on Azura and Ventura but they are the noisiest cabins I have experienced and they moved me without argument after the first night. I have 4 cruises booked on P&O Britannia in solo cabins at the lower 'early saver' fare meaning you don't get to choose the cabin. However all those cabins are in the same location on deck 16 forward so why pay the full fare! I have a cruise booked on Virtuosa for next year and the solo fare for a fantastica inside is 90% of what 2 would pay. The single cabins on Virtuosa have sofa beds, no thank you. There are bargains to be had. Last week I booked a 21 night cruise on P&O Arcadia in a double balcony cabin with NO solo supplement.

  20. Just checked my Aurora July 14 nighter and there are only 3 formal nights listed, actually one is called celebration night but no idea why.
  21. Apparently if you leave the top off the bottle in the fridge the vileness evaporates overnight.
  22. My emails were not bounced back by my mail account so they were received. Maybe it is yet another P&O IT problem. I have received two initial booking confirmations for new cruises including one for a booking this morning so that part of their operation works. I did wonder if it is a microsoft mail problem because I ordered some shirts from M&S but yet to receive the promised collection info email. Luckily I have a screen copy of that order so will be able to collect in store tomorrow.

  24. I have applied for 3 lots of shareholder benefit over the last week and have yet to receive any of the usual automatic do not reply responses, no amended booking confirmations either. All for 2023 cruises.
