  1. It's not a loyalty to a cruise line, it is a loyalty in one's brain to own standards/comfort zone/habits/attitude/patterns/dependencies/addictions/fondness/emotions/and perhaps, inferiority complex.
  2. Your last sentence is an answer to all latest questions related to this thread’s topic!!! So, leaving annoyed by high pricing crew is replaced with enjoyed cruise experience one!!!
  3. It's still related to the topic, because if the price just a real total price (without multiple combined invoice accounting-like" items including gratuities/tips/service charge/crew appreciation charge/or whatever else name might be), there would be no threads like this topic. There would be nothing to remove. And if some people would complain about not having a choice to remove/adjust tips, eventually after couple years that mentality would fade away on its own, anyway (like no one asks anymore "why isn't food served in economy class tickets on domestic flights?").
  4. Crew served buffet versus self serve takes too much extra valuable minutes from the total vacation time. My cruise mantra is “On a cruise every minute counts.”
  5. If paying by cash a cruise line suggested amounts, the total is the same as prepaid or daily onboard. So, it’s not about affordability.
  6. Is $100pp fee for a switch a new policy since last March change? When I called Celebrity last March right after that chance, I was told that a deposit for non-refundable booking is totally not refundable no matter what, whether cancel or rebook anyhow (no $100 pp for a change, just total loss of the full deposit).
  7. You may do that. The potential issues are you might 1. have to pay a prevailing price at the time or cancelling and rebooking, 2. lose OBC (either from a. Celebrity if they don't have it anymore or if the current OBC is less than from the original booking or b. your TA if TA's OBC was linked to an agency's own promotion, for example, and it doesn't exist anymore), and 3. current tax might be higher, too.
  8. "Celebrity Cruises will retain the full amount of the required deposit paid on Non-refundable rate codes (NRD) that are cancelled outside of final payment. Future Cruise Credits (FCCs) will no longer be issued if booking is cancelled, or the ship/ail date is changed on an NRD rate code".
  9. Why "Oh, boy"? Why so emotional? I'm not arguing with you. I simply wrote "Reality - the world or the state of things as they actually exist" which is a definition of the word "reality" (not my wording). What you wrote in your example is not a reality, it is feelings toward reality (in your case, toward cilantro). Cilantro is reality, not your feeling regarding it.
  10. No, I’m not. I just came back from December-January Regent Splendor cruise at that time. We were on Escape last August-September cruise.
  11. And there was non-stopped Samba after dinner starting around 11:30 pm until 1am and sometimes later. It was fun (especially, since we had 7 sea days in a row while crossing).
  12. On our Transatlantic Barcelona - Rio De Janeiro crossing most cruisers were from Brazil - the second sitting was at 10 pm.
  13. I was simply trying to be politically correct (I'm from former USSR after all - left in February 1991). That's why I avoided further explanation.
  14. "Reality - the world or the state of things as they actually exist" - so, it is not for any given individual, and, therefore, not subjective. The different matter is if one actually expresses their feeling and yet states that it is a reality.
  15. Let me please skip further explanation. I wish. However, soon heaven will grant it (17-day Seabourn Pursuit cruise on April 14).
  16. It's a Yiddish ironical way to proclaim an infamous 2020 word. By the way, when one doesn't pronouns a certain negative word explicitly, that word's harmful energy doesn't affect that person.
  17. You are correct, and I also agree with your observation. However, it's (like everything else) relative: when you observe a moving object, what is actually moving, that object or you?
  18. It's not corporate, and it's not shmandemic either. It's related to it in a big selfish way, but it is not itself.
  19. You are correct. We will be on one of them in April (Seabourn Pursuit). However, I didn't see any threads on this topic for Regent, Ponant, Seaborn, SeaDream, Silversea.
  20. It would be with everyone (assuming my post # 112).
  21. Funny, we were born (on Cruise Critic) 2 days apart. And if I read your name correctly, our actual age is also almost the same (a few months apart - I'm 1960).
