Which one do you have, Preferred or Reserve? There are some differences in coverage (for example, Preferred doesn't cover Medical Evacuation while Reserve covers it up to $100,000). We have Reserve. We used it once for the trip (cruise) cancelation and we paid in full for the cruise total (the cruise line paid tax portion).

No, it's not. It's only 2% increase (don't trust your math and eyes). Make it a mantra ("It's only 2% increase", "It's only 2% increase", "It's only 2% increase" ...), repeat it a few times a day, and Voilà! - no more sad/angry/irritated-like/annoying thoughts and complains! -
Pricing on NCL Has Gotten Outrageous

You think you would book the same 21-day, 3 people, 2 bedroom suite cruise for $2,500 (300% less) 8 years ago? That would be around $25 (before port charge and tax) per day for 1st and 2nd (basically, free cruise). I would live on such cruise year around - $27,000 total spending per year for a family of 3 (no house/rent needed, food purchase, car expenses, and more). -

Around 8 years ago we booked 12-day Great Barrier Reef cruise on Celebrity Solstice for $1,450 pp in Aqua balcony category (with Thermal Suites access and Blue restaurant). At time I thought it was expensive. Now, 12-day Asian cruise on Celebrity Millennium next March is around $6,000 pp (300% increase). That’s nice! -

Wow! You wrote word by word exactly what I think of this matter! I do not remember exactly when Celebrity changed to pay more for refundable deposit, but it was not long time ago. Before that it was just a deposit refundable with subtraction of $100 pp (if I remember correctly) fee if canceled that you would still not lose if applying it toward a new booking. -
Heads Up - Substantive change in Gratuity wording

Just for a short time. Then it would be a normal and straight forward product (no need for so wordy statements that might also lead to confusion, misunderstanding, and angry attitude by many prospective cruisers). -

I didn't know Celebrity still sales drinks under $10. Is it wine from a bucket or diluted vodka, perhaps? -

That's strange, because my TA (he is an owner of his agency) told me recently that the refundable deposit status for Celebrity cruises doesn't depend on whether booking is a group booking or not (the same non-refundable deposit rule is applied if not paying extra for a booking to have the refundable deposit). Perhaps, this matter was changed by Celebrity a few weeks ago. -

For our cruise it is $72 pp per day extra. I didn’t know $$ “always included” per day varies between itineraries. $76.74 is with port charges and taxes. Subtract that (around $30), and the cruise fare is $45 (as I wrote - almost free for a balcony, and even for inside it would be still almost free). -

We live in Buffalo since 1991 (moved from another country). Security is 2-15 minutes in most cases including holidays. We go to the Club (with the Priority Pass). -

It's more than great! PS. All included is $72 per person per day. That's why I wrote "your cruise is almost free" before port charges and tax. It's very unusual, and again, with refundable deposit it's impressive! The current price for my 12-day March 3, 2025, Asian cruise on Millenium is $525 pp for Aqua (with all the same items as in your cruise). I booked it for $220 pp per day a 1.5 years ago, but it is still not comparable with your number. -

Celebrity final payment is 90 days prior to sailing. It appears you cruise fare (actual cruise price before any fees, taxes, and additions) is almost free (like $40 pp per day in a balcony cabin). Does your TA actually pay you back your full deposit as his/her (company's) perk if you cancel your cruise for any reason? I've never heard of that from ant TA. -
... It depends on a location, perhaps. Where I came from (33 years ago) dining (the main meal of the day) is officially what you described as lunching (at noon).
