I worked on the NJ Turnpike as a temp years ago and they announced over the radios to look out for a certain car and send the driver inside, no other info was given. Anyway the car came through my lane and I recognized it and sent them to the office. A couple of months later the turnpike gave me a letter about this from the people who I helped. Apparently, the driver had just dropped his parents off at the airport and they left their passports in his car. Because I stopped him, he made it back to them on time and off they went. 20+ years later I still have the very nice letter form the "passport people". Just thought some of you might enjoy this little tidbit!!

So the deciding factors are service but mostly the beach. I would prefer a beach with no waves. I see Breezes has virtually no waves but Rui does. I know they are not very big but just checking to see if anyone has any input. Is it hard to get into the water (especially after a few drinks)? I did look at videos of each and for RUI I see sometimes waves and sometimes not. Also, the waves are not necessarily a deal breaker if RUI is really that much better. Going in October. Thanks!!!

You can always buy some ginger pills. They are OTC and should be readily available. I have really bad stomach issues and they work for me.

I always include to port city a part of my vacation and fly in a few days early. In a few weeks I'll be flying into New Orleans and can't wait to enjoy the local food and drinks. I always try to find the "hole in the wall" places to go. We went out of Miami one time and I found this Cuban restaurant in I guess what they call little Havana. It was genuine Cuban food. We were the only people there that didn't speak the language so we just ordered by pointing to the menu. We had a blast and it was cheap too, great food and drinks! Also our 1st introduction to Cuban coffee...yum!!! Also, do your research...for me it's really fun for me and it makes that countdown clock go down a lot smoother.

I knew someone was going to post this but at this point in my life I know my body. I get bronchitis several times a year and although Antibiotics are not the typical cure for bronchitis it is the only thing that works for me. I am not a smoker and actually do have Antibiotic resistance from being prescribed them as a child for every sniffle I had. That's what my doctor did at the time. After all it was the goto drug in the 80's.

In addition to above mentioned I always bring antibiotics. A few years ago I got sick in Disney and it was not that easy to get antibiotics, but I did. When I get sick I know it. If I bring my own antibiotics I know I'll be ok within 24 hours. Also, I see a lot of people bringing Imodium. We also bring meds for constipation. I have also been bringing my scripts with me on all vacations and never in a prescription bottle.

What time does MDR open for breakfast for both Sea days and Port Days? DH and I are very early risers (we get up at 330 during the week for work...hard habit to break). I know they are not open that early but just curious. We prefer the MDR vs. the buffet. Also, how does the app work for getting food delivered to your table, such as while hanging out at the aft pool bar and having something delivered to our table? We are on the Glory.

Are there any spices/herbs that are native to the Bahamas? Or are there any spices or spice blends you would recommend buying while there? Where is the best place to buy them? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
