  1. When is the earliest anyone would book a flight out of NOLA on departure date? Planning soon.
  2. I have an October 15th cruise booked but flying in early on the 13th. I hope I planned well. I really just want to walk around and check out the food and drink scene. Also boked a Magazine St. food tour.
  3. So just checking, I am cruising out of New Orleans with 1st port (on second day) Key West. Am I charged taxes that whole time?
  4. Still states "in Process" since April 20th
  5. If you count my pre cruise vacation I just hit DOUBLE DIGITS!!! 99 HERE WE COME!!!😀
  6. Thank you. I have factored in all the costs for checked and carry on. It still is pretty much the same. The only difference would be the airline itself. Also, I'm coming in 2 days early for a pre cruise vacation so that shouldn't be a factor either.
  7. So I have a choice. Theses are pretty much the same price and flight times. Also, both have the same amount of stops. Fly with Spirit and Frontier and choose the extra cost seats for more "leg room" or AA with the seats included in the price. Thanks!!
  8. Nope mine was mailed on April 16 and has been "in process" since April 20th. Makes entirely no sense.
  9. I am always up by 7AM Always had a balcony since we got one on our second cruise. I always keep up with my husband drink for drink...which may not always be a good idea and always surpass him on day 1. We always get the beds separated, I like my own blankets. I always find the bar we will stay at most of the cruise, usually aft bar and tip in the beginning of the cruise.
  10. I have the same room on the Glory in October. I booked this room as soon as the cruise was announced. So far I've had 3 "upgrade offers" for the same thing, a higher floor with a normal balcony...NOPE!
  11. The first cruise I brought my husband on was actually the Destiny (which is now the Sunshine). When he saw how big it was he couldn't believe it. He ran around the ship investigating everything. He also could not believe he get anything he wanted at dinner.
  12. This is why I travel in October...not a lot of kids!!!
  13. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E4SQNLS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I just bought these for my father for father's day. They came in yesterday and look pretty sturdy. I usually just cover the entire tag in packaging tape them punch a whole in it with a pair of scissors and use a zip tie, however I am thinking about buying another set of these tags for me. I cruise Carnival and they look like they would work.
  14. Ok so I had this on Grand Cayman and they called it a Cayman Colada. Its a Pina Colada with a shot of Chambord on top. If you have the drink package just order the Chambord before you are finished with your drink and then 5 min later order a Pina Colada and make it yourself. Also, another thing DH and I love to do is order 2 Bloody Mary's at night and save them for breakfast. It's hard to find a bar open at 6am in the morning, which is when we get up. We always get a lot of people asking us where we got them.
  15. OK, so if I have FTTF, do I still have to get an early check in time to board early or am I automatically boarded after Weddings, Platinum and Gold? I am am leaving from New Orleans.
  16. I completely agree that it is worth it for me so no surprise bill at the end of the cruise. Plus I get to try new drinks and if I don't like them it's no big deal. I think on my last cruise we hit about 10 drinks/day each and one day I hit the limit!!!
  17. I also booked the Southernmost Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour one through TripAdvisor. Looks like it would be really fun with great food. Did you do it? If so how was it?
  18. I do the same thing with the envelopes. It gets me excited about the trip as well. I also have an envelope for the airport and hotel with all of our info in it.
  19. I went on a large family trip to Grand Cayman. My husband and I did independent for the stingray excursion. We were on a boat with about 10-15 other people and away from all the other boats. Had plenty of time in the water with the stingrays and had free rum punch and snacks as well. Got some great pictures to at a reasonable rate. My cousin and his daughter did a similar excursion through the ship. They were on a boat with about 50 other people, in the middle of a bunch of other boats and spent about 5 minutes in the water. They did NOT have free anything on the excursion and barely saw any stingrays. They also paid more than twice as much as we did. I always go on these boards to find reputable excursions and have never gone wrong 🤞.
  20. Thanks everyone for all your answers. Decided to bring some local wine on instead.
  21. I know you can bring a bottle of wine on per person. Sailing out of NOLA looking to bring some local craft beer aboard. How much can 2 adults bring? Thanks!!!
  22. My OBC did not show up either. When I went to pay for my drink package it was just there in the cart as an option to pay. I had booked so long ago I forgot I even had it!!!! WOOHOO!!! I was very happy to say the least.
  23. Thanks for all your replies. Looks like exactly what I'm looking for.
