Where to get a taxi at Sydney airport?
resordanis replied to mum and son's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Ah, the Alexander Pushkin. First cruise with my family and put me off cruising again for 20 years. I was sick before we even got under the harbour bridge and wanted to go home. Amazing how things have changed.,I think my husband I paid $1700 each for bunks in 1988 and our son slept on the sofa for free and fell off every night! -

I admire your parents and do hope I am doing that at their age. Good for them. -
Where to get a taxi at Sydney airport?

I have never used a transfer. Just saying what our friends use, so have no personal experience, just an idea and I am sure it would not be cheap either. -

I have elderly friends with walkers etc.they always pay for a Princess Transfer….would that work for you? -
So what direction do you think? I could be interested!

Yes, that is what I had hoped. It is what we have done on other cruise lines. Very annoying as prior to Covid we had some free Elite internet and now nothing. It is one of the reasons we took the Plus package.

Ok, thanks very interesting!

Great review and thanks for letting us go along on the ride with you. Apart from you being in the Grills, the experience you had was similar to what we have experienced in a Brittania Stateroom and I am kicking myself for now now booking your trip and going for Princess! Thanks again and I look forward to reading about your world voyage.

Yes, the theatre is great and love the Royal Boxes too.The shows were also very good as were the guest speakers. Glad you enjoyed your holiday!

Really enjoying reading your review. Making me wish I had chosen this cruise over our upcoming Majestic Princess one. We have done 3 longish cruises on the current 3 Queens and love the library on all 3 for that length of time. I have to say that QE was our least favourite, but after reading your review, I wish we had tried again. Have never done the Grills, so a little envious. The only time we were going try The Grills our cruise was cancelled the night before due to Covid. Thanks again for letting us join your journey.

Help please, Cambodian Currency - the Riel.
resordanis replied to Busy Mum's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
We did a cruise just prior to Covid and we were in Cambodia. All the places we went to during our tours took US dollars, in fact it was preferred. Might be different in Markets, but small shops took US. -
Booking Singapore Accommodation
resordanis replied to JohnGc's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Hope Sentosa will be ok. We like staying at Swissotel Stanford, but since Covid price very expensive. Got a great deal at Sofitel Sentosa including breakfast and dinner, so worth a try. We don’t do theme parks, and cable car was done many years ago. Botanic Gardens and in particular the Orchid Garden are worth the trip. Sometimes the heat gets to you and your ideas go out the window for somewhere a little cooler to. -
Booking Singapore Accommodation

Thanks Chez, Great list. We are in Singapore again end of April. This list has refreshed my mind and given me some new ideas. Kranji War Memorial is somewhere that may be of interest also.. Probably one of the most somber experiences I have had, but one I am glad we went to, more than once. We are staying on Sentosa this time, for a different outlook on Singapore. -
Reserve Collection Mini Suite Royal Princess
resordanis replied to resordanis's topic in Princess Cruises
Thanks all for the information. Bidding doesn’t open for a couple days, but am glad I am now informed. I don’t mind the idea of the front facing, but think we will bid on the other. Considering the length of the cruise and a lot of sea days we might like to use the balcony on those sea days, weather permitting! -
Reserve Collection Mini Suite Royal Princess
resordanis replied to resordanis's topic in Princess Cruises
Thank you. I did read elsewhere that some are located at the front of the ship, this information might be incorrect as I also thought all were mid ship. -
Morning all, I am considering putting in a bid for a Reserve Collection Mini on our next cruise on Royal Princess. Are they all great cabin locations or are some not so great? As it is a long cruise, I don’t want to be stuck with an undesirable location. Walking is not a problem, so distance from lifts isn’t an issue. The problem is, once I bid and get a cabin, I am stuck with the cabin for 21 nights. Just would like some information before I put in the bid. Thanks

This is a very interesting post. We usually use card, but if I know there is a surcharge I usually use cash. Even Aldi charge for using credit card. Unfortunately there are exceptions, I have just paid Princess for a cruise, all up over $120 in credit card fees, but as I use the credit card insurance, I just have to accept, the fee! Sometimes it is just unavoidable.

? Cabin 10217 on Pacific Explorer.
resordanis replied to AdeleC's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Well said Geoff. We booked a DF category cabin guarantee on Majestic for a short cruise and there is not a day that I don’t regret that decision. Should always choose your own. -
Yes, they were available on Brilliance recently, they were ok.
