Princess dining options
resordanis replied to mum and son's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Thanks for the information. DOB right on cruise personaliser but not in APP. What it is and it is a mistake that anyone can see except Live Chat, is that the date and month of his birthday are around the wrong way, like the American way. PVP can see it, but can’t fix it, in the APP but he did on Cruise Personaliser. . might ring tomorrow and not bother with Live Chat and try and find out about missing cruise, otherwise just wait till I get back from Brilliance of the Seas in the New Year. Thank again. -
Princess dining options

Geoff, I am just wondering whether the new upgrade might help me. On the current app, it has my husbands DOB wrong and no amount of times I have been onto Live Chat or PVP can correct it! Fortunately that cruise isn’t until April, BUT next cruise in February the App says booking not available ! It has been getting very frustrating. Do you think it might be best to wait until after first December and try again? Also with the April cruise, do you think I will lose all the information currently stored and will I have to start again? The App and I are not friends at the moment, but last cruise season I had very few problems. Thanks -
Well, we just got a bargain on Carnival. Cheap cruise with $300 OBC and Casino Credit of $100. Many cruises on offer starting from $260 for 4 days. Only problem for us, is husband can’t cruise in Inside cabin, so it is a no from us!
-
We were also looking for a short cruise. Put a Princess one on hold at a reasonable price. PVP rang yesterday and said there would be additional $200 OBC. Now $575 for a 7 night cruise, so obviously that is the one. We really wanted either Cunard or Celebrity but no specials at the moment. Virgin was close though, but with the Princess benefits, they won. Totally agree Geoff, sales aren’t sales generally!

Thank you for the information.

Hi all, On our upcoming cruise we have a reasonable OBC, this is most unusual for us. Can we use it in the Casino if I can’t spend somewhere else? TIA

Cunard Gratuities Australian Cruises

Thanks all, I did think so but can’t seem to find anything on their website. Not even sure how much they are. I know on our last Cunard cruise, the line at guest services to remove the gratuities was so long they ended up with a special counter. We were lucky as there was a promotion for that particular cruise where we had ours included. This was mainly UK and of course Australians! -
Hi all, Does anyone know if Cunard include gratuities in their Australian cruises? I think they are extra but I must say they have one of the worst websites for information. Thanks

The Opera House was a function for Diamond + Pinnacle and World Cruises 10/11. Drinks, nibbles and a concert. Very nice, but we didn’t go. Totally agree, no more Quantum Class for us. Is the Diamond Lounge now the Crown Lounge? Enjoy your cruise.
-
How is Brilliance Chili? Illness prevented us from our October cruise, so eagerly awaiting our December cruise. Can you tell me who is the Diamond Concierge too? Did you get the invite to the Opera House function, we didn’t go as not a great deal of notice? Thanks Cheryle

I find with Meriton, the earlier you book, it is sometimes the cheapest. We booked two nights for December at $372.00 for the two nights.Currently 850.00 for the two nights. The good thing about booking early is that it can be altered if I find something cheaper or cancelled without cost if we decide to go somewhere else. Sydney is very expensive especially if a Saturday night is involved.

We either stay at Kent St or lately Campbell st. Affordable and all very convenient. Just do what RKMW in post 5 (thanks Bob) said in his post and you will be right. We also like it for the laundry in the room and kitchen facilities. Won’t go wrong.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I recently had to put a claim in thru Allianz for Westpac Travel Insurance. We had to cancel our Brilliance of the Seas cruise with only a week to go! Having used Westpac Cc Insurance for many years, but not making a claim, I was unsure whether it would be accepted or it would take a lot of time and questions and I was prepared for the worst! Happy to report, claim accepted after 8 days, and surprisingly only one excess. Makes us feel better about our next cruises that we have booked and using CC insurance. Cheryle

Yes there is, although I think they gave us milk too! Which cruise Chili? I would like to try Edge but prices look very high atm.
-
We asked for one Chili, no problem getting!

I haven’t checked in the last month, but with my final payment that was due on 24/9, I rung the call centre when I noticed a reduction in the price and they adjusted the invoice. Might have changed, as they are constantly changing everything at Royal Caribbean atm and you don’t get their profits if they were looking after the customer. I also would be interested to know if this has changed in the last month as it will make a difference to when I book.

Chili you are correct on this one!😁

Brilliance of the Seas Cabin Selection
resordanis replied to resordanis's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes, quite surprised with the Royal Up. If they had waited a week or two I might have upped by bid! -

Can I ask, was the cabin noisy from above? -

Yes, I know 1100 is a very good cabin, you never know what happens I guess. We just cancelled the current voyage of Brilliance and had an absolutely fantastic AFT balcony on deck 9, so someone at the last minute got our prized cabin, so I guess something could change. We will stay with 1068 at the moment.Husband is just from surgery so might be better, just this once to be near and elevator. Thanks for the advice! -
