I am booked on NCL Jade January 19,2025 Panama Canal cruise. Booked specifically for the canal transit. A little worried now about the cancellations. Was suppose to do a RC Panama Canal transit this past February but it was cancelled last August. Recent reviews of the Jade are not very good so getting a little worried about this sailing. My price seems a little high too. Panama Canal is on my bucket list but would hate to be booked then cancelled or changed at last minute. This is my first NCL cruise. Usually do RC or Celebrity. any suggestions?

I drink chocolate milk every day too. Does NCL have it on the buffet? Just got off Celebrity- and no cold chocolate milk. They could not make it either- didn’t really understand. Had hot chocolate every AM. It was good😀

Thank you. I read somewhere that there is no one at the atrium/lobby bar in the evening- is that true on the Jade? I’ve never been on NCL and usually the lobby bar is a happening place.

I’m booked on Jade next year and new to NCL? Is there a lobby bar on the Jade or just a coffee bar? What bar do most people go in the evening?

I’m booked in regular balcony on Jade for Panama canal cruise. I was looking at front suite also. Never been on NCL ship. Looks like there is a forward sun deck and a forward lounge- are both available to non suite guests to watch forward thru the canal?

Hello. I just booked a 10 night Panama Canal cruise on NCL Jade. I’ve never cruised NCL. I have sailed Celebrity,RC,Disney, Carnival and Princess. What other company ship would you compare the Jade to? Will there be many kids on this sailing? Any recommendations? Any dining recommendations? Anyone sailed NCL Jade lately? What is the extra tax on drinks in port? Thank you.😀

Does the Great Outdoors bar serve as a sunset bar like other cruise lines?

Is the tax charge just US ports and not Mexico ports?

Thank you blue water . Thought we would take taxi to Apple bay and check out Sebastian’s to see if we would like to return and stay there. Also- if there is surf- my husband may want to surf. We will be there in 3 weeks off of cruise ship. We usually go to USVI and stay a week and may want to ferry over and stay at Sebastian’s . Can we get a taxi back to ship from Smugglers or should we get dropped off at Smugglers and walk to Apple Bay and get taxi from Sebastian’s to Cruise port?

If you are an avid walker- can you walk from Apple Bay to Long Beach then to Smugglers?Is Apple bay rocky? Can you see turtles at any of these 3 beaches? Thank you.

If you have 5000 points- can redeem for $50 on board credit. Can use to redeem for on board credit, up grades, purchase cruise items. Need to go to site of credit card to redeem. Also- may need to call the credit card redeem center with Celebrity- one of the visa companies is having issues with redemption. That is what they told me yesterday

We will be on Celebrity Ascent in Puerto Rico in a few weeks. Does the ship dock downtown in old San Juan? Also- there from 330pm to 10 pm. Do most people eat dinner in old San Juan or on ship late 830-930 ish? Is the dining rooms crowded at that time? Buffet crowded? Thank you.

Thank you Paulh84 for the information. I think the outdoor deck parties are fun. I remember the silent disco was on the outside deck on the Edge. hcat- I googled metallic wear- I think it is glittery shirts/dresses also shiny silver or gold colored shirts. I have a shiny gold colored shirt to wear with white jeans. I will be on the Ascent Feb. 11- so we have Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras and now Metallic night😀😀😀

I saw it on a celebrity post on FB and a celebrity cruise press center. Supposedly a metallic party by pool? Hoping someone who just got off of Ascent may be able to give us some information on it.

Has anyone been to the Metallic party on Celebrity Ascent? What night was it? Did you dress in metallic clothes or just the celebrity crew were in metallic?
