  1. I was on the Bliss 2 weeks ago. As Six was about to close (a week or two from now), I asked the CD if he knew anything about what was to replace it. He said he had no idea.
  2. We ate breakfast in the dining room, I think, once. I can't recall for sure if there was a waffle - I'll give it a maybe. I had French toast - quite tasty. But no waffles at the buffet. French toast (good) and pancakes (not so much).
  3. There's corned beef hash daily. But, if we want to get real, the iced cinnamon buns are fabulous.
  4. Ah... I also had a waffle at my BW on the morning of departure - I chose it because I figured it would be the last good one for over 2 weeks. what I didn't realize was it would be the LAST one - no waffles on the Bliss. Sniff.
  5. What ship was that on? Never saw a cookie there on the Bliss. If they were there, it was a really BIG secret.
  6. If you read that thread, you should have seen my post there. We were on the Bliss 2 weeks ago. The only cookies seen the entire cruise were as one of the cabin treats in our Club Balcony. Never in the buffet. Not even in the Observation Lounge - though i did not check there every single day, or all day. The lounge did feature some items not seen, or rarely, in the buffet. (certain sandwiches, pretzel rolls (daily), golden delicious apples come to mind)
  7. BTW, have you heard about the new towel animal replacement? Every day, our steward (last month on the Bliss) arranged the bed pillows in a different pattern. Not quite as entertaining as the animals, but interesting.
  8. Here's my take on this situation: As for wine you brought on board, that should be freely sharable. Asking for an extra glass in the dining room? That's pushing it - and asking to get "caught" as you are asking the waiter to serve person #3. As for the original question, I say take the high road. Expect that #3 may be charged. It has been said here that they may not even be asked to pay because of the soda package (for mocktails). Or, that they may automatically charge the drink to one of the first two passengers. If thses things happen, you're good - and did not intentionally do any violation. No worries at all.
  9. What is it that they are going to power wash with the balcony door open?
  10. They ask you to keep them closed because of the A/C system. You can do whatever you like while you're in the cabin.
  11. Good choice. I thought the shampoo sucked. Fortunately, I don't have much to wash up there.
  12. Now there's a thought. See if you can wangle the job of CEO or Pres at NCL. Think of the possibilities... hash browns... cookies... bang on entertainment... I feel a revolution taking form!
  13. If you are the BW Worldport, be cautious - I checked this area out on google and it looks like kind of a not great neighborhood. Right next to the freeway. Nothing around it except for the Denny's next door and a gas station. Sailed last month; I'm a BW guy. Chose the one in Torrance instead - exactly half way between LAX and the port. Should be alright for the overnight, I suppose. When I offered these 2 and one other to my DW, she rejected this one.
  14. Just off of the Bliss from a Panama Canal passage. Beautiful ship. Well designed. Hope your group has a wonderful time!
  15. On the Bliss 2 weeks ago - MDR reservations were taken for Taste & Savor - although the one I made was done pre cruise ( a few weeks before departure). Could be that they stopped since then.
  16. I suppose that if the cookies wouldn't come to you, then they were not worthy.
  17. The first thing you have to do is go through port security. I don't recall seeing a separate line for that.
  18. Undoubtedly better than the complimentary sparkling wine. Uncertain, though, as we never opened it.
  19. Sailed 2 weeks ago today on the Bliss Hit the MDR (Taste or Savor) for lunch. Calm, comfortable, easy...😁
  20. We were on the last sailing of the Bliss 2 weeks ago. Can't speak for the Vibe or Haven, but there was only ONE time the entire 15 days that I saw cookies. That was the second amenity in our Club Balcony. No other cookies anywhere. No sign in the buffet to ask for them. There were pretzel rolls - primarily in the Observation Lounge - daily. PS The cookies were quite tasty - I wanted more...
  21. Just off of the Bliss. I was planning on using the card from my last cruise, but before I got it out my wife found the hotel key from the night before that she had inadvertently kept. We left it in place; the steward pulled it up whenever he serviced the cabin. He also sometimes unplugged devices we had left charging on the desk, like my electric shaver.
  22. I have an elevated card, but not THAT elevated - no freebies re TSA. We have only the Precheck. Generally, we don't fly often but that has increased slightly in the last couple of years. Ironically, we flew in first to LA, which gives you precheck automatically; also free luggage which i get from my Delta card anyway. Unfortunately, my new belt set off the alarm on this last trip - both ways. In Miami, the agent said to just hand her the belt and walk back through. Quick enough. For precheck, as you probably know, we did not have to go to JFK, just a security company in, I think, Hicksville.
