  1. Them stating “Not common” is a cop out, we don't know if that means one per saiiling, one per month, quartetly, annually, etc
  2. You failed to provide any helpful recommendations of your own. If one wants no AF, the citi double cash or chase freedom unlimited are usually recommended. With that being said, the person I quoted asked on here asked how to transfer credit points to partner miles/points. The Costco card is a great easy card that you don't have to worry about redemptions, I standby this recommendation. This also doesn't mean I don't recommend other cards but will need more info to determine what best suits their spending habits in addition to ones willingness to hunt for favorable point redemptions. If you live in an airline hub city like Atlanta with Delta, newark with united, etc, and find yourself checking bags often but don't make the minimum requirements for status, their best bet would probably be an airline credit card which gives them and one companion free checked bags and possibly free access to better coach seats like exit rows or the front
  3. No change fee, you can go into manage trip, select change, select your cities and date(s) then it'll show you the fare difference. If the new flight is cheaper you'll receive a future flight credit for the difference
  4. I wonder what happens on turn around day after the passengers leave and the stateroom attendant notices them while changing the sheets? Do they notify the previous passengers?
  5. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is its a lot more common than we think because a lot of cruiser stay in a random hotel/airbnb the night before the sailing and bed bugs spread easily
  6. It's too late now but the best course of action would have been to report it on board. Also, without photographic evidence taken on the ship, it's really a he-said-she-said dynamic. Pretty confident this whole thread will be deleted anyways
  7. Yeah, that's when they come in handy when they have $XXX off specials. Just curious, how do you get notified when there are offers? I'm hoping the answer isn't that the offer is buried in one of the four daily emails Celebrity sends me (lol)
  8. Glad it worked! There are pros with flights by celebrity but they will charge a change fee after final payment even if the airline doesn't charge so that aspect is a con for some people. As I'm sure you know, a change fee is an entirely different animal than a fully refundable ticket 🙂
  9. If you're countering my statement, you believe globally, 51% of airlines charge change fees on non-BASIC fares, that aren't ultra-low-cost carriers? You're in Canada, Canada Airlines does charge change fees on their non-BASIC fares but United, American, Delta, Jetblue, Alaska, etc all fly to Canada and do not charge change fees for example
  10. Try a different browser so if you're using Edge, try Chrome, etc Assuming you don't book the BASIC fare or an ultra-low carrier like Spirit, most airlines do not charge change fees nowadays. FBC does charge a fee for a change after final payment
  11. On our last move-up win, it was the same thing. My WAG ("Wild A$$ Guess") on X's reservation side, there's still a lot of manual work to be done so you won in the bidding software and now an X employee has to do something on their side
  12. Posting a celebrity video on CC's Celebrity sub-forum would result in 100 views at best, they would get virtually nothing but it is about exposure. Most cruise YouTubers do sail on the big 3 as they'll get more views. Some of the larger YouTubers even get free cruises fare but that doesn't provide airfare. So the Youtuber will try and spin that into saying "It isn't really free because I had to drop $6000 on a pair of business class airfare as my wife and I can't fly in coach across the pond". They're still going to provide a mostly positive review in hopes they get future free cruises Kids these days want to be influencers, and basically have no real job other than videotaping your life. Can we blame them nowadays?
  13. On the Beyond this past May, they didn't have anything listed as "premium". Also to our surprise, there were no limits on anything. The food taste was definitely a huge step up from the MDR / Blu. While many will say to try the cookie skillet which you should as it is free, just know they use the same cookie dough as free cookies at Cab Al Bacio/buffet
  14. It wasn't perfect but you do get to visit an array of Asia areas. The OPs are probably retired where time off isn't a problem so perhaps doing a B2B with an Japan exclusive itinerary is the way to go
  15. NCL's primary Maui dock is in the north, and Lahaina was in the west, they only stopped visiting Maui for 3 or 4 sailings. Coincidently, we've been on all three of your itineraries in the past five months and all were amazing yet I am taking into consideration their location of NZ. One and Two are just too far and I just feel they would appreciate Japan more than Hawaii
  16. Before COVID, the embarkation windows weren't enforced very often. However, they've sped up the check-in process which keeps the congestion down. Before, for the terminal check-in you had to use the check-in desk which took at least a few minutes for some unknown reason, and while they did have to print the keycards, that part just took a few seconds. Now with the current iPad check-in, it takes what you expect them to take, 10-15 seconds to take a picture of your passport and a picture of you then you move onto the gangway checkpoint. Immigration now has those facial recognition kiosks where you don't need your passport at all and are setup at some disembarkation terminals but maybe we're a few years away from them also using them for embarkation further slightly reducing the check-in time
  17. Considering your distance, I'd recommend Asia. The most magical place I've ever been to was Singapore yet you do have to be there at night; the street food has Michelin stars and its cheap. There are 3 sailings on the Millie that have start/finish in Japan and Singapore, here's one:
  18. Go to guest services at least the day before, show them proof of your tour, and ask them how can you get on an early tender. As @cruisestitch states, they'll most likely tell you to show up early but one time I've personally been told to go directly to the tender just before it starts and show the crew proof of your early tour
  19. Everything is true however it should be noted that SOME, not all, of those with X tours get off on the first tenders; just those with early tours. Also there are those with Elite and above status who get escorted on if there's still room in the tender boat
  20. The theater hosts the main show which starts at 7 and repeats at 9 (730 and 930 on some European sailings). It has four total entrances and therefore doubtful you'd experience a line
  21. If the hot tub is 100f-102f, an adult will sweat between 1-2 pints an hour while soaking so a shower doesn't prevent sweating. In a pool, however, a person may not sweat at all unless they're performing an activity like swimming laps
