  1. Except for special meals on the holidays, the menus don't change from week to week. In the app, scroll down under your own cruises to where it says "Don't see your cruise? Add it here" Click on that, ignore what pops up, and click on Browse our ships. Then click on Odyssey, it will take you to Select a Sailing. Click on the current sailing. You can see the menus there.
  2. Why? Because they choose to move on to a different phase of their lives?
  3. There are people on the full UWC who sold their houses and cars in preparation for this cruise.
  4. 18 to use the Solarium. Younger people can go to and eat at the Park Cafe, but can't "stay" in the Solarium.
  5. 115 pounds per night per person including taxes, gratuities and fees is FRIGGIN' CHEAP. You don't even want to know what I am paying per night.
  6. @Numer3 Royal Caribbean has laundry services; they just aren't self-serve. There is a wash 'n' fold bag which costs $35. You can also pay by the piece for laundry. You can put t shirts, underwear, pajamas, socks in the wash 'n' fold bag. Turnaround time is usually 24 hours.
  7. Then there was the Mariner Around the Horn cruise in 2009. It was a repositioning from Port Canaveral to Los Angeles, 46 nights. Not global, to be sure, but an amazing journey. (Mariner is too large to fit through the Panama Canal)
  8. Not yet! Although many who know me were surprised, I booked just one segment, the Mediterranean and Middle East, Dubai to Barcelona. Now that I have grandkids, I don't want to be away from them for 9 months. 🙂
  9. I'm repeating what a very knowledgeable full WCer told me.:)
  10. Do you have completely different meals at home all month long, or do you repeat dishes? Do you think that once, JUST ONCE, you could restrain yourself from making a negative post?
  11. The activity on social media has been VERY brisk and ongoing. I think that people will be happy to meet those they have been chatting with for up to two years.
  12. Full WC cruisers get 50% off regular prices of restaurant meals.
  13. They are paying ONE THIRD OF WHAT OTHERS ARE PAYING. Regular prices in the Cruise Planner are the elevated but non-stupid (think Wonder) prices: $40 for Izumi. $45 for Giovanni's Table. $56 for Chops. They are not offering UDP - just 10 night dinner package, for $280. The funny thing is that they are even offering it on the only 9 night mini in my segment. 😄
  14. They are paying roughly 1/3 as much as the full UWCers. That should make them feel better.
  15. Yes, immediate recognition for any new level. They have even prepared the badges for the new Pinnacles. Yes.
  16. By September 10, there will be a lot more Pinnacles. 😄
  17. Full UWCers also get 7 special excursions and 4 special experiences. Business class airfare roundtrip Miami from wherever they live, or they can take a cash credit. Gala in Miami last night, including staying at the Intercontinental, and transport from the airport to the hotel, shuttle to the ship, special handling of luggage, early access to the ship this morning.
  18. Those doing the entire 274 night voyage receive fully paid gratuities, DBP, laundry (self-serve + 3 bags of wash 'n' fold per week per person), free wifi for one device per person (solos get 2), 50% discount on specialty restaurants. Those doing full segments (there are four) receive the gratuities, the DBP, wash 'n' fold laundry, wifi for one device, and 30% discount on specialty restaurants. Those doing mini-segments do not get any of these things, but many are paying 1/3 what the others are paying.
