  1. They used to have themed deck parties, but those seem to have gone bye-bye like our favorite Captain. No special clothing is required to attend or participate in any event.
  2. I assume you are joking about this because similar policies exist when booking directly with airline. Either no seat selection in advance or a high cost, but Premium seat selection is free.
  3. I have never brought either sherry or port onto a ship. That said, I have never had the crew member at the wine table (embarkation day) actually look at any of my bottles in the box (typically a random selection in a box from Total Wine). They would have no idea of the alcohol content of the wine, nor if a port was included. The last time I engaged with the wine table was Winter 2018. Most of the time, this table isn't even staffed at the time we are checking in. On bringing some wine back to ship at a port, again, no one in security has paid any attention to what type of wine is in the bottle (not that I was trying to put something over on ship's security).
  4. Of course it would be even better if the first leg was the shortest of B2B's. Although about all I can see gathering up is water bottles and beer.
  5. No matter how "cheap", of course it means nothing if a couple doesn't run up a $90/day bar tab.
  6. @larrybritt and @jag82177, you can request early ticketing via the EZ-Air webpage in Cruise Personalizer as long as you have paid for the ticket(s). Once ticketed, you can select seats for those airlines that do not allow it ahead of time. My observation is that when booking Premium Economy or above, you can select seats during the booking process.
  7. Then it couldn't be Economy Class. AC doesn't allow seat selection until the file is ticketed - unless you are Premium Economy or Business.
  8. If you are arriving inside the terminal at 11am or after, expect boarding to have begun and it isn't going to matter as much. I would just held towards check-in together with Elite in the lead and that person can explain the situation and see where greeter directs you all. I am not familiar with that terminal, but they all have priority check-in area versus regular. No guarantees, but you can always ask. Technically, the other three should be going into the regular check-in lines.
  9. You have not stated where sailing from, voyage type/destination. Some parts of World and seasonality can mean low demand for Sanctuary. If you are sailing the Caribbean in Winter, I'd be at the Terminal before 10am.
  10. Most of the time I have heard of this being successful is when an Elite couple is traveling with friend couple who are not Elite. How many cabins are you all in? All you can do is ask? Also, are you checking in early before boarding commences? If not, it doesn't really matter.
  11. Regal was not free last Fall. Tokens are $3 each and one token per wash or dry cycle. We have never asked, but some have asked at Guest Services and received free tokens if Elite Captain's Circle member.
  12. As long as ship returns to port as scheduled and nothing special going on like a Coast Guard inspection, or a Norovirus cleaning, you may expect boarding to commence anytime after 11:00am.
  13. The only American coffee comes from Hawaii (pretty much all from the island of Hawaii I believe with maybe some from Maui now??) and it is quite good. I believe coffee plantations in Puerto Rico, but I don't know much about that coffee - although there are quite good purveyors it would appear. But I think I know what you are really referring to.
  14. The DR that has the Club/Reserve Dining section is the one that is open for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast every day and lunch on sea days, plus turnover/boarding day. It is posted in the Patter (Events Calendar???).
  15. No, there is no earlier Boarding Group (hence why you see "A"). Check-in opens well prior to 11:00am - typically 10:00am approx. These days, many ships are ready to begin boarding by about 11:00am. Guests who are none of Suites, Elites, Platinums, Club/Reserve cabins, and who arrive prior to boarding are assigned groups that fall in order after the mentioned groups. They could have ANY Princess App boarding group since the App Groups mean NOTHING. After general boarding commences, those in the waiting area are sent onto the ship in orders mentioned above, followed by anyone else (but everyone has a group card assigned according to order of check-in). In other words, a "nobody guest" who checks in at 10am will be called to board before a "nobody guest" who checks in at 10:30am. Once the waiting crowd has all headed onto the ship, arriving guests at the terminal complete check-in and immediately head onto the ship in whatever order they exit the check-in process. That said, there is a priority check-in line for those who qualify.
  16. Sorry .. wrong info. Suites and Elites are called together, but there may be more than one group, depending on numbers checking in prior to general boarding. Platinum members follow. And AFAIK, the Platinum group also includes Club/Reserve Class guests who are neither Elite nor Platinum.
  17. Per enough reports on various Princess threads, guests who are not entitled to early booking using DMW are indeed being able to make bookings. Either there is a bug that randomly allows it in particular situations or everyone has the access and we just don't hear about it that much. What we don't know is if PCL changed their policy and (as usual) have not updated the doc, or do they just want to try and hide a situation where Platinum and Elite have lost another perk, or is there an actual bug that has been present for some time now? Early access - if eligible in theory - begins as soon as a deposit is down on a booking and the Princess App has the booking in its database. See comments above. I don't know if any customers know what the real situation is.
  18. I figured you were booking a Suite and not a Mini. Otherwise, why book a CC Mini if not going to use that section?
  19. Still, I might let DR Mgmt know you won't be using the CC section. Not sure if it affects their planning.
  20. Perhaps but I wouldn't do that. I'd want the child to know they were being given some responsibility. Trust, but verify, you know.
  21. Yes, it was an available selection option, but in truth it was a preference and not guaranteed. A guest was guaranteed TD or AT, but not the table size. (Of course, AT was all walk-up back then and the guest would then state preferred table size to greeters at the DR entrance).
  22. Correct. The only way to get the size you want is to request it on board.
  23. It might say, but it should be obvious that bingo is not free (a form of gambling). Otherwise, wine tastings were about $25/pp unless Elite who get to go free. All entertainment is free, including interactive games and events (like egg drop or paper airplane flying or Voice of the Ocean).
