  1. You will bid on a category upgrade and will have no idea what room you might be assigned. This is a great option for people who don't care where they land on the ship. Not so much for people who have specific needs in where their cabin location is.
  2. I replied to the question with my personal experience/knowledge. If things have changed since then due to the rollout of the app, you could have just said so.
  3. Actually it's been quite a few years since I did lol. I guess things have changed 🙃🙃
  4. I had used a gift card to make my deposit and needed to cancel the cruise. I was told that the funds would be returned to the card. But when they were not, I called to investigate and was basically told sorry, nothing they could do as it was non refundable.
  5. That's great if you know you'll take the cruise. But those gift cards are non refundable if you need to cancel for some reason. I recently learned that lesson the hard way.
  6. Thank you for not stuttering. No one likes a stuttering reply or a stuttering answer.
  7. 3 days? Because most people say 30 days. And 30 days is my experience multiple times.
  8. Shortly after sailaway, go ahead and pop up there. The staff will be available to answer any questions you have. They may not be up there before sailaway, as they may be tending to muster check in stations, etc. But they will have evening activities that night. And they will provide you with a teen club schedule as well.
  9. I've had 4 cruise upgrade bids accepted and 1 rejected. My experience has been that they come sometime around the 30 day mark. The one time I didn't get the upgrade I never heard anything, and they just showed pending until I boarded the ship. Now I've heard that they are offering counter-offers telling you that others are outbidding you, and offering you the chance to raise your bid.
  10. Britto's art definitely isn't everyones cup of tea. I personally find it to be whimsical and charming in a Picassoesque kind of fashion.
  11. Yes, it's steep. But if the food quality matches the price point, then it should be very well received. If not, it will be known rather quickly. People drop that money on the chefs table all the time.
  12. If 2 show expired and 1 is still pending, it's usually the case that the pending one has been accepted. Be on the lookout for the acceptance email in the next few hours.
  13. Thanks for the quick response. They must be having a glitch in their system. Glad it's not just me.
  14. Is anyone else receiving onboard summary charges from Princess for cruises taken months ago? They just sent me a summary for a cruise I took on Royal in September. And I'm fairly certain I received that on day of disembarkation.
  15. This will certainly appeal to foodies. It's always nice to have more options to dine. And 150 pp for lobster and caviar is not outrageous IMO. I'd like to see it age restricted though.
  16. Thanks! Feel like I got a steal! And the extra space meant I could invite my other sister who said yes!!
  17. Won my bid for Jan 6 Discovery. Was booked in Cat BC balcony. Offered 4 bids Deluxe Balcony 30pp Premium Deluxe 55pp Mini Suite 70pp Reserve forward facing mini 165pp Won mini suite at 70. All were minimum bids.
  18. Leo Rossi is a Princess national treasure. We had the very bad luck of offering Leo and his wife who was travelling with him for the holiday our table in Loreto,MX while we were trying to leave and the restaurant was overwhelmed. Then while trying to get our check, a server dumped a whole tray of food down my husbands back. We excused ourselves at that point, but I'm fairly certain they never got food or drinks, and will never forgive us for inviting them to the table.
  19. Very few children on a repo cruise. And the conservatory is usually pretty peaceful even with kids using the pool as it is 2 separate spaces. There is a bar located in the pool zone.
  20. No, there's still the casino and spa. $$$
  21. No. The only NS Flights from SEA were AS and HA. And they've been competing for marketshare for years.
  22. People valued HA because of the direct flights offered. Southwest cannot offer direct flights from Seattle.
  23. Alaska has been fighting for marketshare from Seattle to Hawaii for a very long time. At times discounting flights to 99.00 one way. Most recently to 149 each way. This would give them a monopoly from the west coast. Whether they would keep the HA product is laughable. Did they keep the Virgin product? This is what the Feds will look at when deciding whether to let this sale go or not.
