  1. We always book as soon as the schedule is released, and have rarely seen the prices drop below what we paid. Maybe a half dozen times over the course of 12 years and ~100 cruises.
  2. We also bring one of these when we sail on older ships that don't have HDMI connections:
  3. The biggest problem we have with horseshoe beach is the long steep hill you have to go down to get to the actual beach. Going back up to the main road is not at all fun after a day at the beach.
  4. If the august cruise was booked before or during the double points promo, you will get double points for that cruise.
  5. That process was also broken for months, but recently I have received booking invoices via email every time I make a payment on a cruise - so maybe they fixed that one.
  6. That is a different number than the one that has been published previously: RCL Automated Invoice #: 866-562-7625, press #4.
  7. If you can test at your local airport before you get on the plane, the test will be within the two day window that RCL requires and you would be good to go as long as you can get the test results emailed or printed out by the testing entity. You can also purchase qualified lateral flow tests (RCL has a list on their website) and use a proctoring service like onpoint or ihealth once you land. https://ihealthlabs.com/products/ihealth-verified-covid-test-service https://onpoint-testing.com/product/certified-teleservice-covid-testing/
  8. Entry into the U.S. by foreign visitors has nothing to do with what RCL does or does not do. The 6-months remailing on your passport requirement is a regulation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and is the same requirement that exists for travel to the Shengen countries in Europe. The reality is that you are very likely not even going to be able to board a plane in your home country on a short-dated passport.
  9. Unfortunately, this has happened to us twice in the past five months. In our case, we had added gift certificates as OBC (on paid in full cruises), and they misapplied them pre-cruise OBC "purchases" and instead of showing up as OBC credits, their system posted them as debits, and we got emails saying our cruise was not paid in full. It took at least a half dozen calls in each case before they finally got everything sorted out.
  10. As an example, If you are sailing on a Sunday, you can be tested any time on Friday, so if you are arriving on Friday (and presumably leaving the Netherlands also on Friday), you could do the test before you board the plane. If you are leaving the Netherland before that, you are correct that a pre-flight test would not work. My best suggestion would be for you to purchase the eMed proctored tests from RCL and take those when you arrive. I believe there are instructions on the RCL website on how to have those shipped to your hotel, or if you have any contacts in the U.S. you can have the tests shipped to them and have them either hold them for your arrival or send them to you in the Netherlands (I would do this option well before your cruise, because it can take time for all of the shipping/mailing to get them to you.
  11. The one benefit of a full suite that we definitely use most evenings. Nothing better than having dinner under the stars on our balcony. We have a B3B coming up in a GS on Mariner and plan on ordering room service from the MDR most evenings.
  12. It can happen to anyone anywhere. DD just went into the office for the first time on Monday after working remotely for 2 1/2 years, and tested positive this morning. Life happens…
  13. Thanks. I guess we will find out on our October Harmony B2B. We decided that we will drive to PC for our B3B on Mariner just in case we have to cut the cruise short, and it is just too difficult hiring a car on July 4 to get to the port.
  14. The check in is fixed on the app, And they added an excursions button to the app today so you can pre book those now.
  15. Reminds me of the navigator veranda cabins on Disney.
  16. There have been occasions recently where the “we pick your room” option (GTY) was more expensive than the “you pick your room” option.
  17. We have a B3B on Mariner from July 4-25, and we have already checked in for all three legs, but today it says start checkin for all three. Good thing we printed all of our boarding passes already.
  18. And when all of these "specials" don't create enough customers, by midweek they will be wandering around the ship hawking all of the specialty restaurants at bigger discounts.
  19. It is important to note that with Satellite services like DirecTV, Dish and fiber services like Spectrum, the delivery of content and the delivery of Internet are separate entities, and when we had DirecTV we paid well in excess of $100/ month for their content and another $70/month for our internet service (Comcast). We switched to Smart City 1 Gig fiber ($50/month) and Hulu Live @$70/month (which now includes Disney+, ESPN+) with no data caps or data throttles, and at last check we have ~30 separate devices interconnected on our internet router with no disruptions or slowdowns.
  20. We pay $50/month for 1Gig (fiber) from Smart City. We were paying $100+/month for AT&T Satellite before we switched.
