Bayonne is garage (home) to garage (port)without any transportation involved, in one hour, so works for us. We have done the train option to NYC pier many times. Just tired of it now. 😉

We had a tough first world chocie for Bermuda😁 to make .... Summit or Joy. We had next cruise certificates for both cruiselines. Picked the Summit since I prefer sailing from Bayonne than NYC and will go on the Escape late summer from Miami. Nothing against NYC...love it, just that the parking is ridiculous at the port and to take the NJ transit train from Princeton....done that many many times, but ehhhh not wanting to lug luggage anymore.

We booked the 7 day on the Summit to Bermuda for June, before the peanut gallery gets on😄

Agree, the BA is not their best ship. Gem, Jewel, Dawn, Escape, Bliss, Joy. Escape is my favorite. Bliss is a close second. Also memorable for me because my firsts were on NCL ships. First to Bermuda, first through Panama Canal, first rogue wave, first worst hurricane.😁

TTN and Frontier are just fine. Quick airport to get to. No frills. Easy parking or uber. We leave enough buffer but family members have been brave enough to fly mornings of weddings, cruises and major events and made it. Flight in reference is TTN to MCO and back. Cannot speak for other places.

We have had no problem with Frontier from TNN. Very convenient to fly from TNN. I will not discourage anyone from trying it. Airline delays and cancellations happen everywhere! Sorry you had a bad experience.

Royal and Celebrity use another vendor as well. We had the other vendor.

Done over 30 NCL cruises and loved them all...everything, food, services, friendliness, ships, etc . So sorry you and Deb are one and done with NCL.

When you check in for the cruise (online about 35 days before sail date or whenever available) there will be time slots to select. The Key will not give you a particular time, you pick your own time from the list. Then whenever you get to the port, you will be in a priority line. But if you want to avail the embarcation lunch (perk of the Key), I would say pick anything before 12 noon so you have enough time to check in at the port and get to your lunch without rushing. At the port you will be directed to priority and will probably board via the suites /Key line. So happy you are cruising again. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy! The Grandeur was our 12 night cruise out of Baltimore right before pandemic shut down. She did one more final sailing after that. It has its goods and not so goods, but I really enjoyed the cruise.

I was thinking Cathay Pacific or Singapore Airlines, till I saw your reply to a previous post. Singapore Al is absolutely the BEST.

Friends of ours on board got a call in the cabin that they can be upgraded to a balcony from inside cabin. They had put in a bid for $180 prior to the cruise and had not cancelled their bid. Onboard they were asked for $350 to upgrade to the balcony cabin. They counter offered and said that they were only willing to pay what they originally bid (for $180). They got it! So happens. Cabin they got was all the way in the front on deck 9, but that did not bother them. I met my past cabin attendant in our hallway and and while chatting with him, he told me that quite a few deck 6 cabin he was attending to got upgraded, and he had a "few empty rooms." This was the Anthem Jan 2 cruise.

Really love it. Cheery and bright and very well thought out.
