Good Morning from a cool and very windy day at the beach It is currently 68 degrees and going to mid 70`s. Winds are very strong and the surf is very loud and churning. Not a beach day! Some nasty storms are forecasted for this weekend. I am scheduled to golf this afternoon but the way it looks now, I will probably cancel. Have not posted in a few days but I have tried to keep up with the posts. So much going on. My thoughts and prayers are with those that are suffering. Things are always magnified this time of year. Good Morning from a currently warm and sunny day at the beach Rain and winds are forecasted for the whole week. Hopefully not. Libraries are all computerized, but I am sure there are remnants of the Dewey Decimal System. Dont care for curry but I do like lamb. Have not been to todays port, Thanks for the pictures. Last nites boat parade was great. There were 79 boats all decked out in lights and Holiday decorations. Weather was perfect and everyone was in a very festive mood. It took us almost 2 hours to walk the mile home because we kept stopping to talk to people on the way. Such fun! @Cruising-along A very Happy Birthday to your DH. @JazzyV I dont know how you keep up with all the goings on, especially since you are not feeling well yourself. Thank You for all you do. Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach Mailed my Christmas Cards yesterday. Havent lost anything lately. Have not been to todays port but it is a scheduled stop on a booked cruise in2025. Thanks for the pictures, always helpful. @kazu Hope you did not hurt yourself with the fall. @mamaofami Your grandson must be very special to volunteer. I will keep him in my prayers. Tonite is our annual boat parade. Looks like great weather for it. We are going to a friends house. They have a great location on the river. Plus we can walk because the traffic will be insane. Will be fun. My sister made a big dinner and dropped it off to the First Responders who helped when my niece had her baby. She made lasagna, pasta, meatballs, garlic bread, salad and lots of cookies. They were very surprised and thankful. The Police and Fire Chief both called her to thank her. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene

Good Morning from a warmer day at the beach 68 degrees right now . It is sunny so it feels warmer. Suppose to be 80`s tomorrow with rain storms returning on Sunday. I think Blue Collar workers are the backbone of our economy. Dont receive enough recognition. Dont do crossword puzzles and good always eat a good brownie. Never been to todays port. Thanks Sandy @StLouisCruisers for the pictures. Played golf yesterday. There was a huge alligator not 5 feet from where my ball landed. I took a penalty and stayed away. There are always gators there, usually on the banks but this one was very close to the fairway. I called back to the clubhouse to tell them. The quote is a good one. We were in Bay of Islands last year and there was an excursion to Russell but we did a different one. Good Morning from a bright and sunny day at the beach A big salute to all volunteers. People want events but no one wants to help. No Ninjas here. I rarely wear Blue Jeans, have 1 pair. It has been quite busy around here. But my news is my sweet niece had her baby. She was 3 weeks early and came a little quicker than expected. She was born at home with the help of the wonderful Paramedics! Her DH called my sister to say she was starting contractions. My sister went to get the 2 year old. She came around the street corner to police cars, ambulance, firetruck. The policeman said you must be Grandma, come meet your new granddaughter! My poor sister almost fainted! But all s well. Baby weighed in at 7 pounds! Mom and baby were bundled off to the local hospital. My niece is an ER nurse at Bostons largest hospital. Her name is Maeve Grace. Grace is because all went well because of the Grace of God. Hope everyone is doing Ok. Off to Orlando for a cut and color and some Christmas shopping. Stay well and enjoy today Charlene

We got the 3 trees at the library decorated yesterday. Looks really nice. It was our usual 9 people. One of my friends made these wonderful cookies, so we were all very happy. I have a nephew that works in that field and it is quite scary. I really enjoy a good chocolate mousse. We are scheduled to go to Seydisfjordur this summer on the VOV. Thanks @StLouisCruisers and @Heartgrove for the pictures. Looks beautiful. @Seasick Sailor We had a similar experience on the Noordam last year. We were sitting out by the pool in the evening and 2 officers stopped to talk to us. Asked about our cruise, where we were from etc. It was a very pleasant conversation. They acknowledged us by name every time they saw us after that. Roy @rafinmd Be careful driving today. Really hope that you are feeling better. We are decorating the library tree today. Good Morning from another cool and cloudy day at the beach It is in the 60`s, warming to low 70`s. People are on the beach, have to be visitors! I really enjoy stuffed peppers. Havent had a parfait in a very long time. We were in Melbourne this time last year. We went to the Penguin Parade. Cold rainy night but loved every minute. I will post some pictures. I will be shopping at a few small businesses today. The Golf shop and a small soap and lotion shop in the Village. My sister loves their lavender lotion so I will get some for her. My trees are standing but not decorated. Hope to do that tomorrow. DH and DS are decorating the outside of the library this morning. One of my girlfriends is there supervising all the men. Good Morning from a cloudy and cool day at the beach It is currently 68 degrees going to mid 70`s. Cloudy all day. No Black Friday shopping for me. Will do small business Saturday. There is a small family owned golf center that we like. Going to buy my DS a new club for Christmas. It is very important to know family health history. Unfortunately it is difficult to get details from older relatives They just say, it was his time! Had a very nice Thanksgiving yesterday. Today, I will take down the decorations and start on Christmas We do 2 trees, one in the living room and one in the family room . @Vict0riann A very Happy Anniversary . Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. It is presently 64 degrees but going to mid 70`s. Good weather for cooking turkey. Cranberries will be well represented here today. Cranberry sauce, cranberry bread. Have never been to todays port. Were scheduled in 2020 but .... Thanks for the photos. I like to look at all the Black Friday ads but no newspaper. Always get it on Thanksgiving morning at Walgreens. They are closed. CVS open but no paper. Everything else is closed ( as it should be). Oh well. We are a small group today. Very peaceful and pleasant. Wwe have a lot to be thankful for. Last Thanksgiving we were in Darwin Australia. Great city. Then went and had a wonderful turkey dinner on the ship. First time in my adult life I didnt cook. I told the CD that I should be chopping something. LOL. I wish all my Dailylite friends a very safe and blessed Thanksgiving. Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach Hopefully things will begin to dry out. We did not have any flooding in my immediate area but several places did, Golf course for one. There is a lot of erosion on the beach, but hopefully it will fill in. We were in Papua last fall. My pictures are the same as Sandi`s @StLouisCruisers. We also walked around the town. Very Hot even for this Floridian. Sorry to see the Care List growing. I hope that all are feeling better soon. Good Morning from a still raining day at the beach I was hoping it would clear today but does not look promising. We need the rain but not all at once. LOL. I really like butternut squash but not mac and cheese. DH and I were just talking about butternut squash and he wants me to buy it all cut up. Good Morning from a very windy and rainy day at the beach Weather here is wicked. High winds and rain squalls. Very high surf. Water up to dune crossovers. So there will be beach erosion. Weather suppose to continue thru Saturday. YIKES! Golf was cancelled yesterday and the course will probably end up being closed for flooding. I was scheduled for a derm follow up today but DH did not want me to drive to Orlando so I cancelled. We dont often have weather where things are cancelled. It is usually very mild around here. I am going to go thru my Christmas linens and wrapping supplies today. We werent here for the holidays last year so I forget what I have. Some things probably need to be replaced. Good Morning from a warm but rainy day at the beach I think Ann @cat shepard sent us their rainy weather from yesterday. We have been to Dublin a few times but not on a ship. We are scheduled to stop there ( Dun Laoghaire) on next summers VOV. We plan to take the train to Dublin and then just walk around. We were thinking of the HOHO but this years reports were that it was very crowded with long waits. We will walk. better for us. Yesterdays play was wonderful. The actors really put their heart and soul into it. They have added a special show for December with limited tickets. So we bought them yesterday. We are going to the matinee on the 16th and then my group will come back here for a light supper. It will be fun. Tomorrow is my DD `S Bday. For some reason, she cries when anyone sings or says Happy Birthday. So we dont but still need to celebrate. We are taking her to the Festival of Trees in Orlando.
