  1. That's always an option but we are trying to 'space-out' the specialty places so that we hit them all to try. We are not 'often cruisers' and this may be the last time we get on a ship for a couple years until the kids finish college.
  2. LOL.... that's cute. The next question now is to find out what night is Lobster night on the 8/5 Oasis 9 Day cruise?
  3. We have the UDP. Can you get Lobster in the Specialty places on the night (without extra fees) when the MDR offers it? If so, which Specialty on Oasis?
  4. One of our IT guys just search the 'Dark', as she calls it, (assuming Dark Web) and there are soooo many phony shops offering Covid Proctoring for our precious 'American' $$$$ and all GUARANTEE Negative test results. I don't have the skills, or inclination to do anything on the Dark Web but I am sure some individual in some country with some computer is making lots of money off us!
  5. I agree that the Cruise Lines are 'thinking' about it but again they don't have to 'disprove' the plaintiff has to 'Prove' and the level is, as I think you agree, very high!
  6. Now that is a more reasonable query! It all comes down to the def of a Corporation... to enhance shareholder wealth!
  7. Before you start screaming Lawsuit... there have already been many many lawsuits. Most failed and proving knowledge and negligence, specially in light of the CDC MANDATE being moved to guidance.... much much harder to prove and I am sure the 'liability' bean counters at the Cruise Lines are evaluating pros and cons leading to more sales and profit!
  8. As I stated in the other thread.... Not to overly simplify this but…. Be Honest: People are very ‘stressed’ about the RISK of the test not the process, as it may be inconvenient but it’s not that hard or costly. Risk is based simply on Probability and Impact. Many, such as me, feel the Probability of any of my family of 4 testing Positive is small to medium BUT the impact is SIGNIFICANT! Yes, you may get a refund (though the time to refund seems to be varied) BUT the disruption to you scheduling (vacations/school starting/etc.) is HIGH and that is usually where the STRESS rests. Not everybody cruising is retired and, for me at least, if, after almost 1 ½ years of planning, I find out its cancelled 24-48 hours before the event… well that has ME Stressed! We are fully vaxed and boosted and have taken pre-cruise precautions so honestly… I want the pre-cruise testing to stop. I have been on 3 business trips and in no other venue what-so-ever have I been asked to test! Even one with the NJ Governor in attendance!
  9. As many have brought up thus far.... 'Money rules'! Regardless of whether you are talking about Cruise lines or Countries that HEAVILY depend on Cruise Tourism! Covid pre-cruise test will probably disappear (though unfortunately not quick enough to help me on 8/5) but vaccination requirements will probably stay a bit longer. Just my opinion.
  10. there is a whole thread on them. Just search ;onpoint' . Outside CC they track well
  11. Thanks. Still feel like its a 'shaming' process. What's next, requiring 'rainbow stickers' if...?
  12. No but if I thought that way I would never get off the ship and I would not want anyone else to get off at any ports (as they could bring it back). Right now the stats are so skewed since so many do NOT report when they are positive and the Proctored testing is really a joke. The inconsistent methods they apply are so rediculous . The ones that are honest appear to be in the minority~!
  13. Thanks for the response. Another thread sprouted up kinda informing me the same thing. Surprised though to hear that they actually 'banded' people with colored bands based on vaccine status before on cruises.
  14. So would I have but I am more nervous about this ^&&%#$ BA.5 in NJ hitting sooooo many that are already vaxed!!!!! Not serious but, like a teenager in High School sitting next to his girlfriend... DO NOT WANT TO SEE THAT SECOND BLUE LINE!!!!
  15. How are they going to offer that? First Buy First gets.... First Checkin First gets...???
  16. I am fully vaxed, as my DW and boys. Unfortunately, Puerto Rico, Labadee, St Marteen do NOT require Vaccine to to enter.
