Next. week I'll be traveling with my friend, her friend and my friend's 11 year old son. I'm rooming with my friend's son (I've known him since he was born and I'm like an uncle to him). Will we be able to get an extra S&S card/room key for my room so you can access it? I want to make sure she can check on him if I'm not in the room.

I thought there was a magnetic switch on the door that disconnects your room's AC if the door is open. I know this is true for NCL ships but I don't remember now on Carnival ships.

If traffic is bad it will affect others besides you. Last May they held the ship for 4 hours because of traffic. Also there is a 20 minute grace period past the last on board time. It's not worth the stress to find out about this. I would say 1-2 would be a good time.

How strict are are they on the age groups. Traveling with an 11 year old who will be 12 in June. Can we choose between and Ocean Club and the next one up?

I had to sign up for rewards and then sign in again to make it work. It took a couple of try but I was finally able to see and buy the gift cards. Worth AARP for the discount.

Is the casino drinks on us everywhere the same as Cheers? Is coffee included? My last cruise I had it but only order beer.

I'm booked on the Dream in March and book the Cabana at Pirate's cove. There are no reviews on Carnival's website. They say it only goes until 11:30 but we are in port until 5. Do we really need to give up the cabana at noon? I did see every other Friday there are two Carnival ships in port so the first one has to leave at 1 pm so the other can dock. Is the website description for this cruise and they don't want to update it for all the other ships? Has anyone rented the cabana? I would love so feedback. TIA

I got upgraded to Platinum based on my land base casino play. It was a free cruise and they upgraded to VIPP since I was a top tier land casino player. I've never heard of anyone else getting this but I like the Platinum benefits.

I hate snorkeling since I always seem like I'm going to drown. Give me a tank of air and I'm good to go. I love the peace and quiet of diving. You only hear your breath. To me it's so relaxing. I could see nothing on a dive and be happy. Now if I see some turtles, fish, sharks, I'll be talking about it for days. I don't dive as much but when I do it's my happy place.

I'm looking at using the Comfort Inn Atlantis hack using Comfort Inn points for my March cruise. My dad is a Choice points member and the website says he can book a room for a family member. If my dad books the Comfort Inn room and list me as the guest will I have any problems? He's not going and I'm traveling with three other people so we need all for Atlantis passes. Has anyone done this before?
