  1. Hi Kat, Oh...the winter coat? Traveling from ND........I agree, even if I lived in cold country, not sure I would want to bring one on a cruise.
  2. As mentioned, I bring 1 black cardigan for evenings........so, no I would never bring 4. My bathing suit cover up looks sort of like a dress (I have been told). It is a watercolor print that zips up the front and has pockets and is short sleeved.
  3. Hi,😀 I always bring a black cardigan for evenings. I am counting 4 you are bringing?....we are all different. I would not pack that many, but that is just me. Mixing and matching is a good thing though. A bathing suit cover up is not in the same category as cardigans. I always bring a cover up for bathing suit attire. I have been to Bermuda multiple times but never in January. I would suggest checking the weather about 2 weeks before you sail and that will give you a better reference on what to pack.
  4. Hi, here is a link to the SS forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/108-silversea-cruises/
  5. Melody, wonderful photos..........and oh my goodness, 53 years.......that is really amazing😀
  6. Hi Girls, Sherri, glad you had a good visit and yes, it sounds like you have been busy! I had a Dentist appt today....just a cleaning. Then I needed to find a new kitchen calendar. Not sure if any of you have a store called "And That".......they have some neat things and found a calendar there. The title of it is "WANDERLUST" and it has a beautiful photo on each month. And I could not pass up a bag of Lay's Sour Cream and Onion potato chips😃.......then I stopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond and got some coffees. And my last stop was out to lunch. Went to a local place and had a delicious BLT on Multi Grain Toast.😃
  7. I agree with the others on here....you said "We vowed to never go on Celebrity again. Celebrity has gone downhill since our first one.".....but it is like you are trying to convince yourself by getting others to agree, to go on Celebrity again. If you were so bored and unhappy with them, try another cruise line. There are plenty of them out there.
  8. Hi Melody, I hope you just sat back and relaxed after dinner and everyone else did the clean up😀
  9. I guess SS is doing things their own way. I have sailed 7 times since June 2021 and all of them had boarding at 2:00pm. Did people get to the terminal early anyway? Yes, yes they did. I can't remember if boarding was allowed earlier or not on any of them but I most recently cruised last month out of Quebec City and I got to the terminal about 1:15/1:30 and people were already waiting in the terminal. But it was about 2 before they let us check in.
  10. It hasn't been 11am in years.
  11. I just googled that Forestiere Sauce............WOW, sounds fabulous😃 Oh, Mom used regular old bread for her stuffing......although I have lived in the South since I am 6, my parents were from a Northern background. Mom never made Cornbread or cornbread stuffing. I am probably missing a few ingredients but I know it was plain bread. Oh, she never put chestnuts or oysters in it either LOL........
  12. Hi Cynthia,😃 how was dinner with your son? Did you have a special place that serves Thanksgiving meals? Or just a favorite restaurant? My Mom was a good cook and I always remember her turkey and stuffing as the "BEST EVER"......especially the stuffing. OMG.....it always tasted soooooo good. She would buy loaves of bread and let them get stale. Don't ask me how I remember that but I do. There was always mushrooms, celery and ALOT of chopped onions in it. I think the onions are what gave it such a wonderful flavor. And this was way back in the day when she put the stuffing inside the turkey. I know folks say that is not good to do anymore but nothing has happened to me LOL......It was moist and fluffy at the same time. And we were not a pumpkin pie family. My Dad was an Apple pie guy and Mom always made it from scratch. Her pie crust? OMG..........flakey.....and delicious. Back then, if you remember Crisco in that big blue can? If memory serves, that is the shortening she always used.
  13. Good morning, Melody, WOW😃...how many people did you have yesterday? Did I count 7 pies???😮 My dessert was a Mrs Callender's mini apple pie and it was really quite good.
  14. Good morning, Kat, hope you feel better soon. I am thankful for you gals, for your ears, for your patience, for being here and wishing all of you a Very Happy Thanksgiving.
