  1. We are packed and ready to go. The only downside to this adventure is that we have to get up before we usually even go to bed. It's been spitting snow for over 24 hours. It has only just started to stick. The MSP airport is usually good about keeping runways clear. I printed out boarding passes a bit ago and it said flight is on time. See everyone soon.
  2. So...my cars over the years: In high school I borrowed the family car for my job at Target. It was red. The first car I owned didn't have 4 doors that worked. I had to get in the back seat passenger side, roll over the bench seat and scoot over to the driver side. Try that in a dress and heels. It was a blue car. My next few cars were blue, then tan, then red. Now I have a black one. Yeah, ok, not a car person here. And, none of the 8 accidents I have been in have NOT been my fault. Really, how could it be my fault when I'm not even in the car?
  3. I like some authentic curry, but not everything across the menu. The glop they serve on cruise ships is not appetizing. Easy pass for us on paying extra for gravy with spices thrown in.
  4. I did read the 1st one in Thursday Murder Club. I enjoyed it. Will move on to the others. I just finished Hemingway's Widow, about Ernest Hemingway's 4th wife Mary. In my opinion, it was a dud and I don't recommend it. Others may disagree and that's OK with me. What I gleaned from the 400+ pages: she was a - frequented many beds - (a word I can't use here), he was a jerk, they deserved each other, and she enjoyed being his widow more than his wife. Apparently she wrote her own book about their life together but only used the "good stuff." Now I'm reading Before She Disappeared by Lisa Gardner. Just started but I think it will be a good one.
  5. Quite a while ago there was a 20/20 2-hour show on a Friday night about him, the family and the murder. I didn't know anything about him. The verdict will be interesting.
  6. I love court tv. Got hooked during OJ and then Jodi Arias. Sadly cable dumped the channel years ago. We can now get it on regular TV so I have to watch it in the sewing room where we don't have cable. Murdaugh sure knows how to play the game. I'm undecided how the jury will go.
  7. I'd take this. We had over 14" here the other day, it's still spitting and more is on the way.
  8. We put our phones in the safe. I'm not carrying it around on vacation. I usually don't have a pocket for it. We show our sea pass cards for shows. We ask for a paper compass and have been able to receive one each day. I also keep a list of my favorite drinks handy and ask if they can make them. It does make it more difficult to experiment with new drinks but we no longer get the drink package once it priced itself out of the market. I'm not looking forward to the day it becomes mandatory.
  9. This is the winery John's brother worked on for 10 years as the master electrician. He'd get close to finishing and the owner would add on more stuff. The place lights up at night with different colors and is quite a sight.
  10. So glad this all worked out for you. What a nice lyft driver! Enjoy the wedding and little vacation.
  11. Saw the original post a few minutes ago but now it's gone. Debbie, hope this heals fast for you!
  12. We're in the middle of that blizzard that's raging through the Midwest. We've already gotten over 6" and it will continue until morning. We stopped off at the store 2 days ago and stocked up on groceries so we're good for a couple of days until we can get out again. We also have enough wine.
  13. There's usually ranch offered. It just isn't very good.
  14. I must have missed that. I was 60 pages behind here and did a lot of skimming and therefore missed a lot. Tonight should be good!
  15. Title of tonight's episode us "another one bites the dust." There was that big hint last week when Sandy called Alissa into the bridge. Read on my Bravo gossip site that Cap Lee won't be back any more and will be replaced (by can't remember who). Sandy's on my last nerve.
  16. I'm several pages and a few days behind, but I'd recommend a behind the scenes tour if still offered. We did it many years ago and it was very interesting. Up close and personal.
  17. I've found a wide rage of dressings on all ships do far, including ranch. However, most are thin and lack flavor. If you're picky, do bring your own. Like someone else posted you can find individual portions of ranch at most grocery stores. Or bring your own small bottle but keep it on ice in your room after opening.
  18. Well, pooh. I thought you might be able to waggle more.
  19. Do you get any OBC?... I was reading on the HAL board about booking a world cruise as one trip vs many b2b trips. If booked as 1 cruise the poster said they received only one "trip's" worth of obc. When booking as several b2b's for the exact same cruise they received perks for each leg. They received much more in perks that way.
