  1. I was watching a recent travel vlog for the Breeze (from this month) and the tots were not available (at least on that sailing).
  2. My only suggestion is to maybe plan some activities for the 18 year old. The 18-20 crowd is in a strange limbo on cruises since they are too young for adult clubs/casino and too old for the teen clubs. The other kids will be meeting their peers in their respective clubs and he'll be sort of left out unless they meet outside the club.
  3. Lol, well that's a whole other story (and part of why we stopped going and switched to Universal and Six Flags for our theme park fix).
  4. You answered your question already, lol. Keyword "someday". What would you suggest? While I'm for all digital, there's still a large swath of folks who have a phone because they have too, not because they want/know how to use it. They could go the digital band route (like Universal does for it's waterparks and Disney for all their parks). Plain single color provided with fare, and a nice revenue stream with themed/licensed bands.? Uh oh, did I just give them an idea? 😁
  5. Regardless of why they are doing that they are now, I always wondered why they wouldn't just print/activate them on the spot. Card printers are fast and activating them is also fast.
  6. One one cruise we brought wine spritzers we made in our room in our Carnival branded tumblers. Never got a second look.
  7. I have not been able to find the Latte version of their VIA Instant coffee anywhere! I think they may have discontinued that flavor.
  8. I've never heard of a "Coffee Card" on Carnival. As far as bringing the packets, I don't do regular coffee (for some reason I just never cared for the taste). But mocha/caramel/pumpkin spice flavored coffees work for me. Just something to have with breakfast.
  9. Not that it affects me (I don't do seafood) is there a 5 day night 2 menu somewhere? Just curious to see what's been substituted.
  10. Not correct. On night 2 (formal/elegant night in the MDR) Lobster Tail is on the free MDR menu. Menus here: NEW Carnival Menus, Updated May 2022! · Prof. Cruise (profcruise.com)
  11. You are correct, but I'm looking for specific recommendations from people who have tried them because there's just so many on Amazon I really don't know which one to choose.
  12. With the the cruise industry still in such a "fluid" state the rules are constantly being updated/changed. If had only seen it mentioned here and there I wouldn't have even bothered seeking clarification. But when you see something mentioned on several cruise forums, Reddit and even Facebook I need some clarification! Based on your username, what's your favorite prog band? For me, there can be only one!! Rush!! Honorable mention to Yes and early Genesis.
  13. Lol, you must be a hit at parties! But thanks for your input!
  14. Can I find this in Starbucks or is it a particular store that you can find it in as I have not seen this anywhere. Update:. So far none of the Starbucks I stopped at have the latte instant just the regular blends.
  15. I know when we used FTTF we were never questioned when heading to our room early. Our last cruise (also on the Breeze) we only saw one sign about who was allowed, and it didn't mention FTTF. We didn't want to go wandering to our room to drop off our things if it wasn't expressly allowed (we knew we couldn't/shouldn't stay in the room). We'll be fine getting an early start on building up our winter fat stores on the lido deck, even with our carry ons, haha.
  16. For those that bring their own instant coffee does anyone have any recommendations for a decent instant latte mix? We don't drink enough soda or alcohol to justify the drink packages (my wife doesn't do coffee at all) so I was wanting to bring some instant latte packets or powder to have latte or two with breakfast. There are so many different brands and since I mostly drink foo-foo Starbucks iced/hot lattes (lol) I don't have a "go to" brand. We have a ton of random k-kups at home, so we are not brand loyal, lol.
  17. Ok, like I had mentioned earlier we had always booked with FTTF so access was never an issue. But, after reading so many posts about people doing it I just wanted to know if it was just one of those things that just happen, or if it was one of those unwritten things that happens. Luckily we'll only have our rolling bag/cart with our soft drinks and wine to cart around while we wait,
  18. Lol, maybe YOU didn't understand my question. I'm aware of the ready time for rooms, but I have also read posts about NON-PLATINUM AND DIAMOND passengers dropping of their luggage. Thus, my question.
  19. We head out on the Breeze on the 29th and this will be our first cruise without FTTF, so we've never had to wait for our room to be ready before. I've read several posts (here and elsewhere) about people (not platinum/diamond) heading straight to their room when embarking and dropping off their carry-ons and then heading to the open decks to wait for their room to be ready. Is this common/allowed on all ships? Will they block access or not allow you to do this for any reason? Thanks!
  20. You are allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine per adult. The no bottles refers to the 12 packs of soft drinks, which can be cans only.
  21. Even if they made it more affordable, they would still make money. I would be willing to bet that most who buy it never get the max value from it unless they want to stumble around all day, lol. Or, they could make it available on a daily basis so you could buy it for the days you want it (they love those sea days where it cuts down on the amount of time to use the program). We tried the dining program at Disneyworld once and you REALLY had to work hard to break even, much less come out ahead. We even did a bottomless soda thing at Six Flags and didn't even come close to breaking even.
  22. Why? Because the pricing of mixed drinks is nuts, as is the price to buy a bottle of liquor onboard. As one of the others posed, maybe more down to earth prices ($90 for a $30 bottle of liquor????) would decrease the smuggling. It's not always about being cheap or not having the money, but more about not getting fleeced/taken advantage of because you are a "captive audience". We will occasionally smuggle a small amount (like a 10oz flask) and once replaced wine with vodka (and a few drops of food coloring). We aren't big drinkers so we would lose money with the Cheers program. Thing is, no matter how many people smuggle liquor, Carnival will still keep making money on it because the majority don't care. It's like NFL teams that allow tailgating. Thousands of fans eating and drinking up before a game, and the lines for food and drinks aren't any shorter. To address the original topic, we carry on backpacks and usually a small bag with all of our electronics and important items (change of clothes for the evening) in case the luggage is late or "lost".
  23. We got one as well, interior to ocean view for $120. We went ahead and took it. We were going to try our first interior room, but when the offer came up, we took it. We've only ever had balcony cabins, so this will maybe be a better step to see how we would handle an interior type room.
  24. I don't think I've ever even tried to get a lounger near the pools. For me, it's the worst area you can choose if you want to relax. I always end up on a lounger on the side decks of a ship. Rarely ever full, and nice and quiet.
  25. I'm guessing the website won't update until the 4th. I'm on a 5 day departing in the 29th and the guidelines still say testing required.
