Test of time .During the next 5 to 6 months much will be known as to where CCL is headed as well as RCL & NCHL brands . I just made some profits selling the CCL stock I just bought . This bear market bounce will not last much linger .Right now I am in a cash position after taking nice profits off the table .Looking to short this market once again with a triple S&P short symbol

There is the possibility that companies like MSC or Virgin could be waiting patiently on the side lines with huge cash pockets to buy ships on the cheap . In todays financial environment any company needs to conserve it's cash & free cash flow . Yes there could even be buys of .10 cents on the dollar of assets , Seen this before as well

Hank I take out vendor default within my cruise insurance policies . I have seen this type of financial problem before . It did not end well

Bought 100 share of CCL today ,Oct 3 ,2022 for $6.90 per share . Taking a 7 night HAL cruise Dec 10,2022 on koningsdam to Mexico & getting $100 OBC . ,So my downside will be $590 .00 after this OBC .I think this is a good risk

This is a new ball game . with a global recession & high inflation there is no telling who will be able to stay in business . . what business can't do is print money like the Federal Treasury Dept does in trillions of dollars & throws it at every thing under the sun This is why we have this big inflation . what I am very concerned about is not just inflation but Stagflation ;which is inflation & no growth .

Interesting comments & thanks to every one . We are Elite Plus level & working toward Zenith ,so we like Celebrity . The only other cruise line we like is holland America being some what similar to Celebrity . We are in our 80s & that being said we enjoy laid back cruising watching the ocean & seeing the occasional rainbow

We are on Koningsdam for the Dec 10 ,2022 Mexico cruise ,my 84th birthday is on that cruise

Got to wonder if mother CCL corp stock pricing being so low has any thing to do with the delays in new itineraries , We too want Koningsdam to remain in San Diego except for dry docking or maybe they could dry dock here as well

Yes we are aware of what we might do individually on a cruise critic roll call . My purpose here was to say why after quite awhile into start up now that X does not recreate the Celebrity M&G party . all I can assume ;which I hate to do is that X is cutting back on any costs that they can get away with . We always enjoyed these parties as well as battle of the sexes ie .

Then it seems to me that this is not a temporary discontinuance but more permanent . Now what will people do if they decide to do a roll call Meet & Greet . Should they contact the ship events coordinator with Celebrity to set up a place on the ship with light refreshments ? I do a lot of Fun slot Pulls & Fun Craps Rolls on the cruises that I am booked on as well as Meet & Greets ;which I do on many cruise lines .On other lines it is easy to accomplish these activities . Why is it so hard on Celebrity ships ?

This cruise industry becomes more & more intriguing . Well we booked 5 new cruises adding to ur already 87 past cruises for this & next year . We also took out vendor default insurance with in our trip insurance ,that added cosy not that much to protect our invested dollars into these new cruises About the cruise line stocks ,tight now they all are a crap shoot because of their heavy debt burdens . I just don't fool with companies in their financial conditions . I don't gamble .There ate way netter companies with great dividend payouts that have dropped considerably in price per share , I use a strategy of triple shorting the S& P 500 while picking up cheap shares of dynamic companies over time as this stock market implodes .Much simpler than taking out puts on many stocks at a real cost & those puts have expiration dates . I just like to short one symbol the S&P 500 while getting loaded up with high paying quality dividend stocks that will be vaulting in price when this bear is finished ravaging

Talking about the cruise industry in todays reality tells us that there are very rough waters ahead for this industry . Main reason is consumers will be pulling in their spending because salary raises are in the 5% area while inflation is running above 9 % or higher .This is why the Federal Reserve is increasing interest rates & willl continue to do so . These increased rates impact Carnival corp & othere lines hugely . Example for every one percent ,Yes 1 % increase in the Federal rate ,Carnival Corp must make $196 million dollars in "profit" not gross sales just to break even . Sales of berths is not increasing into the future but decreasing ;because consumers need to spend their monies on needed items like heating ,clothes ,food ie .Then the cruise lines will be forced to drop prices adding more pressure to the bottom line Another death blow can be that Carnival Corp float more stock & keep diluting share holder value .They already floated a additional one billion dollars more shares The US did not bring about this catastrophic condition with a covid pandemic ;but ,US industry is paying a dear price for it as well as consumers

We do get special casino deals from Celebrity noyhing has come our way from HAL . Perhaps we can change that in the Casino when we cruise on Koningsdam this December 😁

BTW that is a great deal . Was this deal sent out only to certain people ? We are 3 star mariners & never get these in e-mail form HAL .The one you describe is a no brainer especially taking the Have it All packages

It's a very long flight from Sydney to LAX . In 2015 I missed the Xtdney to LAX with business class air miles we had . They have limits using miles to book . so we did the next best thing . It turned out to be 4 airports , 25 hours going first class( no beds on the first class flights ) on 3 different airlines to get back to San Diego airport A word of caution unless you can get a direct non stop from Sydney to LAX from HAL then take your chances .I think non stop to LAX is still 12 or 14 hour flight , I would never do that in coach . It would need business class bed

Princess has had nothing but problems with their Oceans Ready App .I threw away a $ 925 FCC with Princess because it was way too frustrating dealing with all their new employees over the phone who knew nothing about this crazy technology . If HAL adopts this & they can not explain it in simple terms I guess that will be the end of us cruising with them as well

Just be cautious with my money by including vendor default . does not cost that much more adding it in to a trip policy . Id rather loose a hundred that thousands . We too try to be positive in a negative world these days

Then if Celebrity is lowering food quality & staff won't that impact their sales going forward as this gets out to the consuming public ? Supply chain has been the scape goat of convenience for too many business . Either a business can or can't deliver at a price they set ,imo

We have B2B bookings in March on Soltice & wondering what people are seeing with Celebrity with regards to selection & food quality ,service in all departments , entertainment quality & any thing else they care to mention TIA

What I am saying is we see prices in general down not up vs 2019 pre pandemic .We paid more in 2019 than we are doing today . We definitely took out vendor default in our trip insurances ;because no one knows for sure that any CCL or RCL ship will sail as planed

Yes how does all these financials reflect on the quality of cruising like food quality & variety , entertainment quality ie .so where does every one see where the industry id headed & especially HAL ships ?
