  1. @the more ports the better I would contact O directly to verify rather then guessing and relying on hearsay or if you use a third party TA they must contact for you.  Also if you have concerns about the financial stability of a cruise company I strongly recommend travel insurance (not the cruise lines insurance).

  2. @SujormikThat would be the desk person not the waiters.  Right now some people went for the simply more included beverages but some have not…In a perfect world we all get to drink everything everywhere.  Even the premier package doesn’t cover everything.  Those waiters have to swipe cards and the liquor usage is monitored/accounted for especially expensive pours and bottles.

  3. @SthrngaryI don’t think it’s a stupid question at all.  The more you know the better suppose you got a new employee who might automatically add the 20%  ouch!  I think some of these questions are adding to the fun anticipation of the trip!

  4. These people work LONG hours with little time off away from their families.  If I receive excellent service with a smile I give an envelope with an extra tip.  (Also with a smile back)

  5. @FlyerTalkeryes then you need to pay for transportation to those airports and will need to pay for a new flight IF one is available.  What makes you think people aren’t capable of trying to get out of a flight mess?  There are shortages of air traffic controllers as well as pilots.  Airlines have pretty much control over certain routes.  Not complaining just facts flying is a NIGHTMARE don’t get me started on how ridiculous the seating is soon they will be like buses or subways stand holding a handle…

  6. @Woofaactually you are only allowed to bring six bottles and it is supposed to be wine.  If you drink outside your cabin there is a $25. Corkage fee.  If you bring alcohol from ports the cruise is supposed to hold it for you.  Yes people go around these policies but it’s good to know the real deal which is in the contract.
