  1. So another words. Nobody will starve to death. Thank goodness
  2. Does this mean the lines will be even longer the last day of the cruise at guest relations , with people removing tips and now wanting room service charges removed uugghhh
  3. I would use TripAdvisor and book your own excursions. Better time better value
  4. The pork and beans are for the passengers that schlep two liter bottles of Dr. Thunder aboard
  5. There is a bright spot. This charge might mean. I will see less room device dishes sitting on the floor outside of cabin, from the knuckle draggers who place them there.
  6. We ate at Canaletto on our first night last week on the Zuiderdam. It was not crowded and super relaxing and glad we did it.
  7. Yes you did help thank you so much. Just surprised there were so few people responding.
  8. If you want to avoid this, click paying cash when checking in and bring cash to the front desk when you board. When/ if your cash runs out during cruise they will let you know
  9. Hi - I ‘ve recently looked into the Celebrity Beyond and the ship is jaw dropping. I would love to hear from any HAL enthusiasts who have been on this ship and what they thought of it and how it compares to HAL? Thanks in advance
  10. Oh I almost forgot, the small kids took over every hot tub on the ship.
  11. Pinnacle Schminnacle- Just give me bread pudding😂
  12. Yes absolutely- They will make any salad you want😊
  13. It depends what you like. The downside is they do not have a big thalassotherapy pool that they have on the bigger ships that can fit 10-15 people. They only have basically a jacuzzi which fits 2 people . If all you care about is the heated tile loungers with a floor to ceiling view of the ocean, then you will be happy because those are still offered
  14. I was on this cruise as well. I don’t know if you went to the Lido at the busiest time but I won’t wait on a line for FREE Super Bowl tickets sitting on the teams sideline. We went to the Lido for breakfast every morning. I waited 10 minutes for omelette’s for my wife and I while she found us a seat and grabbed other items and coffee. Once seated we always had a lido worker filling our coffee cups and asking us if we wanted anything, juice water etc. We went to the dining room for lunch and I had an absolutely delicious burger, it was relaxing and very chill. The dive bar Meh, I don’t know why they don’t make a giant batch of grab and go burgers and franks. No custom , just grab and go. Me personally I don’t go on a cruise to eat hot dogs and chicken tenders. We only ate in the dining room three nights. I never saw a single pair of shorts the three nights we were there. We ate at Canaletto the first night which was fantastic and we ate in the Pinnacle on Sunday night which was also delicious. I wanted to go to Canaletto again but they were all booked up. I enjoyed the grab and go salad bar. Did you go to the New Years Eve party at the pool?
  15. I just got off the Zuiderdam this morning. ship was spotless clean, freshly painted, great crew and food was delicious We had a fantastic time on a beautiful ship.
  16. I think I might have this figured out. A disgruntled passenger brings their vacation to a grinding halt to vent on cruise critic about an issue they are having aboard. They get a mixture of responses some say “Try To Relax And Have A Good Time” or something positive Others whip the poster into a dizzying frenzy, suggesting. The Captain should pass the duties of the ship to second in command and meet them in their cabin for a meeting. After a few more over the top suggestions, they head down to the front desk with preconceived ideas that perhaps they should get a Neptune Suite with their own personal butler on the next world voyage free of charge. Then they get to the front desk and reality sets in They are offered two choices A- A bottle of Andre Champagne B- A plate of chocolate covered strawberries. Most opt for the strawberries, and we never hear from them again
  17. You’ve been on 39 dress code threads in the last week, you still haven’t found an answer?
  18. Sit tight, I’m working out a few minor details for a new act to bring on the ship
  19. I always read of these overly dramatic plight’s on here, then original posters always leaves us hanging. The guy last week with the loud stereo next to him, who was typing with one hand and calling food and beverage dept for a meeting with the other. Does anyone remember the guy in March that missed the ship by three hours, then drove to Key West from Fort Lauderdale, rented a room, then was supposed to get on ship but inclement weather forced the ship to skip Key West. Phone calls, meetings, but yet we never hear anything. who knows maybe they’re just blending into life on Jupiter Island in the house HAL has bought for them?
  20. The same people who don’t get off the ship, are the ones that when they do get off ship walk around the port compound, poke around junky souvenirs, buy a drink at Senor Frogs then say “That Port Sucked, There Was Nothing To Do”
  21. We got a great deal on a back to back years ago . In my opinion the day you return to Fort Lauderdale is a wasted day. If you signed up for the spa it’s closed for most of the day, sometimes the pools are drained out. We live in Florida so going on a side trip when we got back to the dock wasn’t an option. We’ve seen all the places they offer excursions to. We prefer straight 10-14 day cruises
