  1. What about the people who don’t fit into your “Most” category.
  2. What cracks me up is all these tales ”People Don’t Dress Up In Alaska” “The Caribbean Is More Casual” They Dress Up More on Europe Cruises. Where are you people pulling this stuff out of? ( I Know) I just took an el cheapo 7 day cruise on the Caribbean Princess and was stunned at all the people that were dressed and taking pictures and buying photos etc. No it wasn’t Tuxes and gowns it was people who prior to arriving to the dining room looked in the mirror and said ”It’s Formal Night, I ‘m Going To Make An Effort” There’s a vibe out and about heading to dinner, families getting group pictures taken, people dressed nicely Here comes sweatpants and crocs guy wearing a Lenny’s Clam Shack tee shirt to kill the whole thing
  3. Please be easy on him, he had recently escaped from an insane asylum
  4. I have the CEO on the phone, please be patient
  5. But if you take the test 2-3 days out like they have it now. You eliminate the risk of jumping on an airplane (possibly infecting other people on the plane) only to test positive on the pier and be refused boarding
  6. You can thank the Two Buck Chuck clientele who would boast “Just Slap A Luggage Tag On It” for the changes in wine policy
  7. This thread has gone from saltines to lithium mining to Melba toast crackers. Wanting to meet with the guest relations manager, food and beverage manager, and hotel director? These are all middleman. Go straight to the captain and make him pull into the first port and load on 28 pallets of crackers. in the last 20 years so many things have been eliminated , but let’s have a mutiny over some crackers
  8. Meeting with all these staff members over saltines Now that’s funny 😂
  9. I was on Nieuw Amsterdam in March. The old 1200 passenger ships we used to sail Veendam,Maasdam, Statendam, and Amsterdam are now gone from the fleet
  10. I know HAL is trying to attract a younger crowd with younger faces on the glossy brochures etc but it isn’t working. I went on a spring break cruise this year and kids were minimal. I then went on a Caribbean Princess cruise in June. The first thing I noticed was live music all over the Princess ship, in the atrium, piano guy near front desk, 2 or 3 lounges with different singers. On my HAL cruise they had a BB King Club that is the bomb, but that was it. I’ve been on 15 HAL cruises and 3 Princess cruises
  11. There was a comic on my last Holland America cruise who opened with. “There Isn’t One Kid On This Cruise Who Deserves To Be On Here” he got a big laugh When kids go they get their rooms cleaned , food placed in front of them (,just like home) What’s different for them? If you don’t want kids book Holland America. P.S. I have brought kids on cruises before
  12. When I read these boards. How can the cruise ships make any money.? There’s the camp that wants money back after final payment when the crumby undesirable cabins are sold off cheap. Then there’s the gang that wants to bring their own water soda wine. Then god forbid you miss a port, there’s the camp that wants a free cruise in a Neptune suite.. Almost forgot, the long line at the desk the last day of the cruise to remove the auto gratuities. How do they make any money?.
  13. Why didn’t you go to Ice Strait point, without even trying? Our Captain did not try to get into Key West this spring because it was blowing Forty Five knots
  14. Your sailing through a painting while cruising to Alaska. Bored teens….leave them home
  15. What is the fascination of knowing where these cabins are?
  16. Remember- It’s a cruise, not a camping trip
  17. These boards can be very misleading. I just got off the Caribbean Princess last week and couldn’t believe how many people were dressed up for formal nights . The picture gallery was also bustling and people were buying lots of pics. The sweatpants baseball cap unmade bed look gang are a very small minority on the ship.
  18. I think there’s a Charlie Chaplin marathon playing right now
  19. It gets worse. There’s people who do laundry on cruises
  20. Thank goodness for the washers and dryers on the ships. I finally get to scratch something off my bucket list
  21. We sailed on her March 12 spring break. We only had 900 passengers. The ship is in great shape delicious food and a great crew. Thalassotherapy pool was great as usual
